What do you like to play most? - In this channel I mainly play obscure and forgotten piano music which almost nobody performs nowadays anymore, mostly romantic music. But in my free time I play pretty much everything from Renaissance to Avant-Garde.

А у вас нет возможности найти какие-нибудь сочинения Владимира Семёновича Слепцова? Он был членом союза композиторов ( предположительно в Ленинградском, в период ~1960-1975гг.) Он был другом Слонимского..... Говорят, был талантливым композитором, но потом практически бросил музыку (жил в Ленинграде, в нашей семье с ~ 1978 года до конца своей жизни). 🙄🙏

Композитор Сергей Яковлевич Терханов (1954 - 2014) родился в городе Горьком, окончил Горьковскую и Казанскую консерватории, несколько лет стажировался у композитора Микаэла Таривердиева и входил в состав музыкальной творческой лаборатории «Третье направление» при Всесоюзном Доме композиторов (Москва). Дальнейшая творческая судьба Терханова развивалась в Саранске - там он преподавал много лет в музыкальном училище и был удостоен званий заслуженного деятеля искусств Республики Мордовия, а также народного артиста Республики Мордовия. Музыка со словом - одна из основных областей творчества Сергея Терханова. В наследии композитора большое количество песен (более 500), хоровые сочинения (на ст. Л. Филатова, Б. Окуджавы, региональных поэтов, свои собственные), оперы ("Сказка о мертвой царевне и семи богатырях", "Он и Она"). Песни Терханова - в репертуаре таких артистов как Елена Камбурова, Галина Беседина и др. В Нижнем Новгороде его музыка регулярно появляется в репертуаре хора "Нижний Новгород", звучит в спектаклях детского театра "Вера" ("Сказка о царе Салтане", "Полоумный Журден", "Алые паруса"). Сергеем Терхановым написана музыка к более 90 спектаклям, которые были поставлены на сценах театров России, Украины, Германии; музыка к 5 фильмам Казанской киностудии; издано 5 авторских сборников нот. Composer Sergei Yakovlevich Terkhanov (1954 - 2014) was born in Gorky, graduated from the Gorky and Kazan Conservatories, studied for several years with composer Mikael Tariverdiev and was a member of the musical creative laboratory "Third Direction" at the All-Union House of Composers (Moscow). Terkhanov's further creative career developed in Saransk - there he taught for many years at a music college and was awarded the titles of Honored Artist of the Republic of Mordovia, as well as People's Artist of the Republic of Mordovia. Music with a word is one of the main areas of Sergey Terkhanov's creativity. The composer's legacy includes a large number of songs (more than 500), choral compositions (based on L. Filatov, B. I appreciate it when I see Piano pieces where both staffs have two voices. Does it give us a bit more work? Yes. But the more complete harmony is very pleasurable to hear.
Your interpretations always have remarkable clarity, and your tone is consistently beautiful throughout as well as your phrasing. Your uploads are always a joy to listen to! I'd also like to ask what kind of piano you have, as in some moments the tone in the lower register has an extraordinary quality, almost that of a hammered dulcimer or a harpsichord (for example the LH from 1:45 - 1:48). thanks for your nice comment! I use a digital virtual piano, but I don't remember the one i used here. Most of the time I use the so called Garritan CFX plugin. I have a digital piano (unfortunately, only)
