I really enjoy Dragon themed coins and rounds. It seems that Asahi is gain attention as a vibrant company with great work. That tree might be called a Ming. Thanks for sharing your stash and opinions.
@bellowsforge9726 the 5 oz is the best. Keep stackin Forge! Also you're in my most recent community post thankyou for being part of this little community!
Wow, those are pretty! I love the detail. My favorite things about the stacking community is how we all collect a lot of different things outside of our "deep" stack. I never really had a thing for dragons, but its cool to see some of the coins you/others collect.
I agree! It's so interesting to see how other stackers collections are built. Sometimes I'll discover some cool things from other collections that I want to add to my own. Thanks for stopping by T.O.B!
Man, I've been saying it'll go back to $24 but now I'm not so confident. Feels like these current prices will be the new norm. Who knows though. Nice video.
@ReeferGil $30 seems pretty solid. But who knows after this election. I am very confident though that the next couple years price average will be a decent amount higher than 2022 and 2023 price average. Thanks for watching!
I definitely bought too many collector pieces at the beginning. I wouldn't say "never buy premium products", but unless I were a high income-earner, I would stick to a 95:1 oz ratio of stacking to collecting or something like that
That's a good ratio to have. My ratio will be roughly 10 to 1. Every other month I'll get another perth mint piece. That's going to be the majority of my collection. But wealth protection is way more important. Thanks for watching!
I am certainly not perfect with my silver purchases. I bought my first bit back in 2003 (as a promotion for a business that I started...it eventually failed) and the few remaining ounces I had were worth about 6x what they were eight years prior. I decided a few months ago to buy no less than 10 ounces of silver every month this year. Not sure what the future holds BUT diversification of assets is not bad. Side BONUS...helping all mankind as the silver that is being traded is more paper than real. Buy real silver (or gold or platinum or copper or whatever). Buy silver and hold it as the system will make this work out for you. Silver is a better choice, in my humble opinion. Buy it and keep it.
Yes sir absolutely. I buy and hold. The only way I will sell is when I convert it to gold. Also 10 ounces a month is an excellent goal. After just a year you will have one hell of a stack. Keep it up and talks for watching!
A couple of months is nothing. Slow and steady with stacking and collecting. If it takes you a couple of years to find them, that's cool. I'm still filling holes in the Perth Mint series three Lunar, because I started at the Tiger. Have yet to get any Dragons, besides the 1 oz gold and plat (and the privy silver), because I was focusing on finishing up the rabbits I needed and being sidetracked by other stacking goals and it's nearly time for the snake release. We'll get there though and close enough to spot. So just make sure you've got a little cash squirreled away for when the coin shows up and buy some damn maples in the meantime, if you want to do that tube.
@dleetr wow I bet your perth collection looks amazing. Excellent work my man. Are perth pieces cheapest when they first release? If so I'm getting both 2 ounce and 5 oz variants of the next release. And yes you're exactly right this tube of maples needs to be taken care of first lol. Thank you for the advice and keep stackin!
@@FourNines-silver 5 oz is cool, in whatever coin, got enough heft and is big enough that you can really enjoy the design, well for my older eyes. 2 oz is plenty big too. Yeah, Perth Mint is cheaper at release, but you should watch for deals or maybe check out your LCS for buy backs (cause they're in capsules, they're usually untouched), there's still a higher premium on sovereign bullion series than rounds. I like some of those Apmex Lunars, in the rectangular format.
@dleetr yes I love the feel of the weight with 5 oz coins. Also perth mint designs are most enjoyed on bigger pieces in my opinion. I'm already looking through ebay again lol. I want a 5 oz 2014 year of the horse
I do not buy anything from Apmex, they usually are overpriced on a majority of there products. Always shop around, sometimes your big dealers are overpriced to. Be very very careful.
@singleandlooking8026 I see what you're saying. This was my second purchase ever. Since then I've found other places that have great pricing. Especially for my perth mint pieces. Thanks for watching!
I think it's important to decide if you're a stacker or collector. If you're debating it, you're probably a stacker, and should not buy collectibles - in general. I am a prepper-stacker but I do collect two series. One is the Awakening series in the 2 oz size. There's one left to be released, I have all the others. Loved the theme and not very expensive (I still shop around for best price). The other is the Commander series in 5 oz from SD Bullion. Just loved the idea so jumped in early and have the first two releases of a planned twelve total. All of these I display in my man-cave/basement bar. I didn't stack anything - like no collectible pieces at all - until after I'd reached 1500 ounces. I don't see myself buying any more after these two series, frankly. The Commander series will give me some occasional fun for the next few years and by then I'll be retired and my buying days will be over.
At this point I have decided to call myself a stacklector. Im going to do both but my main focus will be stacking of course. I bet your man cave is awesome! By the way I included you in the last community post. Thankyou for being part of this community!
Hahaha, yes that resonates with me 😂Becomes a liability at some point...They are Shiny though!! Cool content, thank you buddy!👍 Guess those weird rounds will go to the Moon at some time too.🪙 Makes sense...take it easy those rounds will come to you☕
You're right! Patience is key! Either I will wait it out or I will exchange them for gold once the ratio closes sloser to 60 to 1. Thanks for watching!
It's funny that you mention it. I was just looking at a couple of nice looking boxes on eBay to upgrade my coin storage. I found a few that look like treasure chests, I thought that was fitting. Arrrr 🏴☠️, keep stacking friends 😄
@@user-gm6jv1bh1w lol I call it my treasure chest as well. Good luck finding a decent one! Mine was about 50 bucks on Amazon and I can't wait to make it super heavy!
Let me get those coins from you 😫 my fiance and I just began collecting and those coins look sweet! Lol im joking btw, but very beautiful collection. I do not understand or know what i am looking at but I think you should still collect it either way as if its passed down to you or as a trade :) just try not to make it a primary. Both my fiancé and i are looking into silver coins but have no idea where to start or look, and we are watching your videos :)
@@Umi-Dgaf that's so cool that you guys are getting into it together! There's tons of great channels you can follow to learn all about silver and gold! Just keep watching and studying until you're comfortable enough to make your first purchase. No rush take your time!
I just stack kg bars, preferably Scottsdale mint bars which interlock and government coins with a denomination on the face which means traveling overseas with coins that are recognized as their face value.Rounds are recognized as the value of the silver or gold for that matter.....tis inhibiting without a face value
@floridastacker good to see you! I love how this community comes so close together and yet we will never know what each other looks like lol. Great content on your end as well! Thank you for subscribing!
Any mistakes made are learning oppurtunities! I try to let you guys know about my mistakes so you guys dont have to make them as well. Thankyou for watching!
I buy mainly rounds and bars. I have a couple 1999 and 2000 SAE just because Im weird and I like changing of time moments plus I graduated high school 2000 so I collect a lot of 2000 stuff lol. I did get the 2024 APMEX dragon very nice.
I really realy like the 2024 apmex dragon. I think it would look great as a 5 oz piece especially with all of the beasts on the backside. Thanks for watching!
I only collect 2 pieces, the Panda (missing first year only because of the price), and Barbados Trident from Scottsdale. I just like the design. Everything else is weight. Yah, I have some ase's and maples, but mostly generic 10oz bars.
I think even the most strict stacker has atleast one or pieces they cant resist lol. I had to look that trident up and its dope. The detail of the background looks incredible. Thanks for watching Skywalker!
e several different types of product in your stack. No 2 stacks are the same. Mine has 3 categories breaking it down. Its all good. Legacy portion is probably the most important, held with great personal attention
Yes Sir! I have my collection which wont be sold. Then I have my stack (maples and Sovereign 10 oz bars). And then my frontline stack which are buffaloes and generic bars
perth mint premium stuff. kookaburras have a good resell value here and the more you have of 1 of's of different years the faster they go. got lucky and found a 1992 kook still in the original case at one lcs for 45. goal with those birds is one of each year. i was buying tudors till i found out the panther and dragon may not be released as 2 oz coins which killed it for me. queens beast on the other hand dealers have been discounting some pretty hard lately so if i see a real good buy im grabbin one. as for other silver. rounds, maples, eagles, and bars. my other goal is having one full tube of each main govt backed mint.
Im the same way! I want a full tube of maples and britannias. Once ASEs come down on premium I'll work towards a tube of those as well. Once my stack grows a bit Im going to reward myself with a 10 oz 2024 Kook. Cant wait for that. Thanks for watching Ninja!
Only thing I use Apmex for is there portfolio. I ordered $300 + from them once and I bought a limited mintage hippopotamus coin BU, worth about $40. The coin was totally scratched. I debated returning the entire package but decided not to.
@SavunnieSilver47 they do have a very large selection and their app works very well. I'm sorry to hear that about your coin. 40 bucks is a pretty penny for a single piece I would have been pretty upset with that
Take it out on the camera why don't ya 😂😂😂 Don't beat yourself up for it, you'll find the right thing to do with the series in time. I started off like that too. None of us started stacking knowing what we know now. STEADY STACKIN
That tripod is my enemy lol. Takes 5 minutes just to get it to balance on its own everytime I try to film lol. I have a feeling this silver is going to turn into gold eventually... so I'm excited for that! Steady Stackin!!
@secondrule that's good advice but I want them all in bu condition and I've had bad luck on ebay before so I've been waiting for them to be back in stock. If the series isn't completed I can always use it towards a nice gold purchase. Thanks for watching!
8 ish years ago i walked into my LCS and asked what i should buy. I said eagles??? They said stay as closest to spot as possible. So ive still only bought bullion rounds, some bars, lots of junk. Best advice i could have gotten. Maybe its boring but i want to profit max amount and weight is the way for me to do that. I currently sold 200 oz for over $30 an oz and those were picked up for $22. Now im more cash heavy than silver heavy but still fine with my base if silver goes nuts. Pulled good profit and if theres a good pullback this fall ill have alot of ammo to get more for less than i sold. Id rather be a tad cash heavy when silver is high than like most of winter i was silver heavy because it was cheap. But it makes me nervous if something happened in life and i have to sell when silver is $23.50. Unless crazy stuff happens im hoping by late sept silver starts dropping some.
Thats a great story. If I wasnt addicted to perth mint coins I would strictly be purchasing bullion as close to spot as possible. Moving forward im focusing buffaloes, maples and standard 10oz bars for wealth preservation. Once I feel like I've earned it ill purchase the 10oz Kookaburra I've wanted for months. I think silver may pull back after the election. Once everything chills out politically price may drop. Im going in heavy when that happens. Thank you for sharing your story!
Silver doesn't give a profit. Silver retains buying power. Buying silver for $22 and selling for $30 just means the paper you bought with had more buying power than the paper you received for selling. The silver coin did not change.
