@@GildiiAuscentIt was a joke, althou im sure nobody will ever believe that. To be serious here, i need to say that scaming is a completely legit activity in EVE. Its good to know how the scams work. Me personally enjoy Jita local spam and all the scummy stuff going on there, its part of EVE.

@@jennybender2643 Oh yes, I took this as a joke :D As for this being part of eve, that is true, it is part of being in a sandbox enviroment. And for knowing how scams work, I do try looking for more, because I do enjoy finding them and sharing them

On the Other hand In Jita local a player was giving away 2 billion Isk, yeah right .. right? he kept asking random people 'who should I give it to and how?. He had lots of takers and I was waiting for the scam to be done. After 20 minutes of this I finally spoke up and said ' Just give it in a way that feels good - to someone who makes you feel good about it.' My wallet went Ping and I now had2 Billion Isk more than I had 2 seconds ago. Never heard from the guy again. Moral of the story? 1) for every 1000 scammers you will run across someone who is genuine. (This still does not mean you can give them ISK!!!). 2) Honesty is Always the best policy, be genuine (unless of course being dishonest brings you more reward). 3) Blocking people diminishes your opportunities for playing the game. (the only valid blocks are those you KNOW you never want to hear from again - such as Family, ex-girlfriends or your CEO)

Yup, someone has to keep feeding them. I remember that one of those did post "uh oh another sore loser" in local every once in a while, so I am pretty sure that people still fall for this

Same story as real life scam, spam and phising mails. They exist because there is demand for them.

I pulled off something similar, except it wasn't scam, I claimed that I'll double anything they send and send them back half of what they sent, two people got caught immediately 😂

The only legit business in jita I ever saw was a guy saying that he has an isk halving service. He was sending back half of what you sent him :D

Yeah, I love Space games and have been interested in EVE for a while, but then I see stuff like this and am reminded that EVE is just "CAPITALISM IN SPAAAAAAAAACE" and get scared off again. I'll stick to Elite and NMS where everyone isn't a Musk wannabe

Lol, it is just that in eve everything is pvp, including market and interactions you get with others, for example the massive heists people have in big alliances

I know that feeling many times I gave up on eve because trying it as a small group or corp is hard. But there are some groups out there. I’d say try it for free if you like the idea come join us
