I thought buying the wireless NCE version but it has a drawback and it is bad in my opinion. When you use it wirelessly the button that normally is used to show what functions are enabled on your selected loco now controls wireless handset power on/off and I think that the ability to see what functions are set is pretty damned valuable so I went back to wired
I'm not a follower of CSX however, I must admit that these are some excellent models from Athearn. You did an excellent review of these locomotives. I guess I'll just have to subscribe. Dave
Awesome review! I've acquired some of the newer Genesis 2.0 and newer run Genesis releases. I love the detail and lighting on them. Usually, I prefer getting the DCC Ready version and installing ESU Loksound V5 & Scale Sound Systems speaker in them.
Great video👍🏻👏🏻...would your method of swapping the bridge power feeds to stop oncoming locos if bridge removed work for a layout using DCC to power it?
I have a question for the pro cab do I have to use the RB02 cause I wanna use coil cord for my set up and I was wondering if I’m able to run trains on the pro cab with the coil cord
I gave the protos Their awesome but I got mine mine at a ridiculous discount as a local shop had too many so they were like 40% off. But I would gladly get mainlines aswell. I have mainlines in VIA Rail and they are fantastic. The protos certainly stand out in terms of detail and prototipical accuracy. But the Mainlines are perfect for the modeler who just wants to have fun. Tbh I dont even have a UP excursion, The FEF that pulls them is a Grayhound And it #836. I also got it on special. As you said at the beginning....I'm having fun and being myself.
hello great video excellent detail 👍😊 do you know why the Norfolk southern locomotive shop in Chattanooga Tennessee has always been off limits to everyone?
While the locomotive is really nice, It would be even more perfect,if it were brought up to GENESIS Standards. A little more detail, and LED Lighting with lit number boards, and lighted walk way lights. Also correct drop steps would also enhance the look of a former Southern unit.
Can u do a video plz making a vase using the balloon? U can look it up on here. I need to see why mine won't harden bfor popping the balloon but it cracks inside the balloon.
Really appreciate the superelevation tutorial. Question: When laying your flex-track in a curve, where do you cut your inside rail in relation to the outside rail?
My joints are directly across from each other, as I solder my joints on the curves. Just make sure you solder the joints when they are still straight, so the joint isn't kinked. I show this in one of my videos. I will see if I can find it for you.
You can find the info in these two older videos of mine. The part 2 video shows how I solder flex track for curves. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-ShCR3oZwPKg.html ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-avcjX1xe04s.html
No, I use the cork sheets for yard areas and industrial areas. And the roadbed strips for mainline. In the Video i'm using the roadbed strips just to draw center lines in certain areas. Hope that helps to answer your question
These are some excellent and handsome looking GE AC4400CW locomotive models from the Athearn Genesis 2.0 series, these CSX models are spectacular and have well defined accurate prototype details applied to them. The detail level applied to these Genesis 2.0 models makes them decent competition against the Scaletrains Rivet Counter series models of the AC4400, both of these manufacturers' models have accurate prototypical details and both look incredible. Excellent locomotive model product review as these engines really are amazing- Tom.
At 20:24 and 21:38, it sounds like a distortion canceling the sound out the prime mover. If you want to, buy the sugar cube speaker, these stock speakers from what I have notice tend to be the issue. I hear that sugar cube speakers and scale sound speakers are the best.
How do you which decals to use and where to put them? I also had some problems with derailing. The rear truck on the observation car which I had to modify. The baggage lounge car had the same issue. I solved that problem when I changed the direction of the car on the track.
Excellent video catch of the freight train & this nostalgia Steam engine all the cars pulled Gondolas included 😮 was awesome. The Heritage diesel great paint job their. 👍⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
