Welcome to my channel! My name is Sarah and in 2021, my daughter and I started a handmade business... accidentally. Over our summer break, we went to a craft store looking for something to occupy our time. While there, we found some soap making supplies and decided to give it a whirl.
On this channel we talk about melt and pour soap making, cold process soap making, soap tutorials, handmade business tips + tricks, vendor markets, studio vlogs and so much more. We hope you find value here and are happy to have you as a part of our community!
I have found that the bottles actually hold almost 9 ounces also I allow for 5% to be used as possible way that doesn’t come out of the container mega suckle my spatula and or stuck in my piping bag if I use my filling machine, then I count for around 10% waste 10:29 hope that helps❤
Love your videos!! I've been debating whether I want to offer an emulsified body butter or a body lotion. It's hard not to say yes to both, lol! And just a quick note (respectfully); I noticed that your Coconut Soleil was spelled Coconut "Soliel" -- not sure if you had already noticed, but just wanted to let you know!! Looking forward to more videos! :)
Hi dear, I love your videos. I get the same issue with my total batch not completely filling the 8oz jars. It's so frustrating lol. So I decided that my next attempt I will be calculating each jar at 9oz instead, let's see what happens lol
I can't believe you don't have more subs! You're perfect! 💙 smart, beautiful, you articulate well...i don't get it. Thank you for all the great info always .
The cold processed soap notes on SIMBI is a lifesaver! I wish ALL fragrance oil companies had a chart such as that one. It is frustrating that some of the top fragrance oil companies *don't* offer much information on cold processed soap notes. One would assume if they are selling it for soap, it has been tested for soap so there shouldn't be a problem adding notes.
I definitely agree.. I have noticed more and more suppliers adding soaping notes, so I hope that trend keeps up! I know I am working on soaping notes for one supplier in particular 😃😇!
Hi, new to soap world. I’ve made only two loaf so far and even if I don’t plan to sell any, knowing what’s popular is interresting for me since I want to make some gifts 🤫 Thank you for your video. English is not my first langage and I missed some of the fragrances you named and I didn’t find them in the description.
Thank you for all the content you share here on RU-vid. My question is what size of wooden wick do you use for those tins? They look soo cute for wedding favors.
While I understand melt and pour is basically buying soap to make soap, your daughter's safety is important so M&P is a great option for you both. It's fabulous that you two make soap together, partly because it's a great mother-daughter activity, but also because you are teaching her about being an entrepreneur and being her own boss! I'm sure it's also helping teach her some independence and confidence as well. Love all of that! And as for buying soap to make soap, there's still a lot of customizing that can make them unique, be a great product, and make lots of customers happy. Best wishes and much success to you both.
Can you also make a video or 2 about melt and pour soap making. I literally just got done binge watching ur videos; thank you so much for going into details. I also have 2 questions. 1st. Are you able to use your own essential oils thats homemade (from scratch) instead of buying some? 2nd. Hearing about the rose, cucumber n lavender water can any fruit, herb, or vegetable also work? Like guava water, lemon water. Thx again for making these videos
When you mix it with the right amount of water and oil, then they turn to glycerin, but if someone added over the right amount of lye needed it will remain in the mixture
