#2minutethrowbreakdown Please i would be very happy, if you can pick me for the 2 minute throw breakdown, i just started javelin a month ago and i would love to throw far distances
Thanks Thomas for sharing your knowledge so freely with us. I am 56 years old, taking up the javelin again after 40 years, to compete in Masters Athletics! I wish I had videos like this when I was learning as a teenager in Australia. We had no coaches, no books, no videos...nothing! Your videos are fantastic - well explained, friendly and super helpful!
its been a while since youve posted, but ive actually been practicing this in my backyard by throwing a stick slightly heavy on one side into a bucket to goof off and practice some things ive seen in books. i study acupuncture, and i was trying to learn to stab directly in the heart of a human model, and i practiced throwing the spear into a bucket one way or another. never knew this was a real sport. might give it a try, thanks Olympic Medalist!
Hello, I want to be a Pro javelin thrower when I am older. I'm a national champion in my age group last year and hope to be this year as well. I am competing in 15 girl's nationals for javelin this weekend in Adelaide. If you do see this comment, please like it. Also, your defiantly my favorite javelin thrower EVER!
I know its been a while since this bideo came out but I have question about the elbow use in the throw and getting under the jav. I have been throwing from the shoulder which has been killing my release angle and it sounds like getting under the jav is like using the elbow to aim where you throw the jav? Is that a correct way to think about it or?
Hi Thomas, I am looking for the training videos on the three step and five step techniques but can't find them on your channel? They have been hugely helpful for me as a high school javelin coach here in Canada. Please help!
Very concise explanations in all of your videos. Thank you. I am 70 years old now, but have been asked to introduce our local high school to javelin throw. These really help and I will be showing them in a classroom setting.
I threw over 40 years ago and tice in a row, I smashed the javelin against the back of my head, knocking myself to the ground; second time I saw starts. But I would like to try again. Thank you. I will remember the arm - like throwing darts.
