Man the f80/f82 has been my dream car for years since i was younger. Initially i was always thinking of getting one with the DCT all the way. To me, it seems to suit the car more, and would be an awesome daily. This video was definitely helpful! Will definitely get one in the future 🤞.
340k is a lot of miles. Bringing back an E39 is a lot of work if it hasn't been maintained. Brakes, Bushing, Power Steering, Cooling... All the rubber and plastic replacement. Shocks and all the bits and pieces that wore out or broke over the last 20 years. My second favourite car after the E36 M3.
Dont forget to swap the DINAN engine plenum cover from the silver M5 to the Blue M5!!! Dont bother trying to remove the carbon fiber piece, just swap the entire cover!
F80 M3s are really nice cars and are fast, but IMO the E92 is a true M car for BMW enthusiasts. The sound of that raw NA V8 is sooo glorious, the high revving engine feels like it could go FOREVER! Plus, the looks and just the way it handles to me is a true racers car for the street or track.

Hi, you have to bleed longer and more often if you do it without a BMW computer (Inpa). At Inpa there is a bleeding procedure that activates the Pump in the ABS block to get all the Air Bubbles out. I had the same Problem when I replaced the Brake Master Cylinder on my M5 two weeks ago. If you want the Dinan Exhaust and it's welded, just replace the Exhaust System completely, it's not that big of a deal. Maybee a Muffler Shop can do it for you. You should also install the BBK. Replacing the hard line is easy. Get a good Line from the Junkyard, replace it and everything will be fine. Take your time and without any stress. I do everything with Jacks, Jack stands and Ramps. You can do that too👍
I didn't know it was supposed to be done with the computer so that's good to know! Have you ever had an issue connecting to INPA or NCS due to vin failure or key issues? The exhaust has been cut and welded so many times and has a bunch of little leaks so that's why Swapping them isn't an option and it's too hard to find OEM around anywhere. Might just leave it and use it as negotiation if someone isn't interested in it when purchasing lol The hard line goes into the bay and though the firewall? Do you have an links or anything on how to remove it? I've been searching and haven't found anything. If I can figure out how to remove it I'll glady go get a line and replace it! @@chacebarnes01 Ok, then it's better to leave the Dinan Exhaust on the silver one. I have been using Inpa for about 10 years and have no Problems reading the M5. Back then I bought a OBD Adapter from Do It Auto on eBay and an USB Adapter because my Laptop doesn't have a serial interface. Do you have Instagram? Then I will send you pictures of my Inpa Setup. But Carly works also on e39. Do you know BMW Fans Info? Here you can see which Parts are installed where in your Vehicle. Unfortunately, BMW TIS is no longer online. The ABS block is located at the front right, the Breakline to Avus is also defective at the front right. Maybe you can see it clearly in the junkyard on an e39 without an engine?
My Instagram is Bm.chace_ & for some reason the Avus car won't let me scan it with my foxwell it isn't reading all the modules or connecting and same with INPA/NCS. I'm thinking it's either a key problem throwing a fault and not letting me scan or maybe EWS issue. I was looking at cars in the yard and it looks like it goes through the frame rail, under the DME box & possibly in the firewall. I'm waiting for the yard to make an E39 available and I will go see what I can do!
Check the ABS unit to see if it’s functioning correctly and also check the brake master cylinder, the brake booster, and the clutch slave cylinder. The rear strut tower brace is supposed to be drilled and bolted into place. If you are going to install it into the blue car you need to drill into it too and transfer the cut panels that were cut to fit the strut bar. Don’t stress yourself out man. Make a list and do a pre-work look over what the job needs and then by the time you get to it, things should flow more smoothly for you. Good luck and keep up the great work!

Hi, I found your channel because of the M5 videos. This interior swap is a bit crazy. In Germany it is very difficult to sell such cars later, especially when the vehicles (M3, M5 etc.) are a little more expensive. There are some US total losses here, which are to be repaired in Lithuania and sold at a high price in Germany. People here want original, no accidents, no repainting. Upgrades are ok but only BMW performance parts, KW suspension, BBS wheels. You make good videos, I like watching them.
I agree and understand that point, I personally like to make the car and spec I desire & doing that I always upgrade with either better condition or using parts that are actually more valuable and sought after. Anytime I've done an interior swap it's highly beneficial for the car and the value! I appreciate your support and comment, nice to have viewers from Germany!
Both are amazing, I agree and I also think the E92 M3 would've been a whole different animal with a higher torque level. If it was 400tq and 400hp I would've bought that instead of an F80 😂

The big brakes at the front would have definitely fit with the style 65’s and spacer (that’s how I have them). Keep up the great work man!

Sooo there are a few things here: the wheel hubs that were on the silver, the dowels had been cut, it is clearly visible and this is why they are "different". The brake line fitting, I don't know how much force you applied, but it twisted the line and the hose as well. This itself is really dangerous while driving, so I suggest to replace the hardline and the hose as well. Usually there is a clip at the fitting that keeps everything tight. For the flare nut there is a special wrench (flare nut wrench), try to use that, I can tell you it's much easier (while it's not rounded). I did some stupid things in the past too, and I write this comment only for educational or sharing experience purposes.
Dang! I’m sorry you went through that hassle! I also have stoptechs on my car (another clone feature😂). I went through a hot mess like that when I installed Porsche brakes on the rear (similar to the e46 M3 Porsche/Brembo upgrade). My neighbor fixed it but I don’t remember what he did. If I can get that info for you I’ll let you know.

Dinan front strut tower brace (2 points) Dinan Cold Air Intake (3 points) Dinan exhaust (Mufflers only) (3 points) Dinan MAF's (2 points) Total: 10 Points. @@chacebarnes01 Rear strut bar (1 point), you are at 11 total points, lol! Make sure that, if you decide to take the rear badge, make a template of where the letters are so that you can place them back in the same place.
The rad support is easy enough to remove and re-install (4-6 bolts and screws). Correction: you took it off anyway, lol (I'm writing this as I see your video)! Honestly, you could have just installed the Dinan badge and get the other stickers for cheap on FCPeuro. I would have done the valve covers swap or at least paint them. Dinan gives the installation PDF for the air intakes on their website for free and it has a template to cut the wedge for the secondary air pump, otherwise it wont fit with the air intake. I used the pdf to install the optional air ducts. OHHHH! SUPER IMPORTANT NOTE: The Dinan cold air intake and MAF's will need software added to your car for it to run properly on your car, otherwise you will have rough idle and delays in throttle response at certain RPM's. Unfortunately you can only get the software from Dinan and it ain't cheap. So both cars will need to be flashed: The silver back to stock, The Avus needs the official Dinan tune made for the cold air intake and the MAF's. Shark tune is not going to work as its for cars that have the original MAF's diameters. Lastly, the heating of the strut tower to get stickers off is optional, but all they are is the indicators of the 2 softwares installed. I did it once on someones car heating it from the back and lightly keeping the front wet to not burn it, but it's hard unless you remove the shock and spring. Might not be worth the trouble to be honest. Hope my rant helps lol!

After doing the core support swap I should've just done that 😂 I didn't want to ruin the badge and I was unsure if the stickers were still available & being I already needed to remove the headlights and bumpers it wasn't much more work to just take both off and swap over as well. I don't think it's worth trying to remove the carb stickers on the towers & I'll have to get the dinan software unfortunately, but I'll check around because I'd like to go catless and will also need a tune for that! I really appreciate the help
