This channel is a space to document life doing the things I love: 🏔️ Getting outside (hiking, backcountry skiing, backpacking, camping, etc.) 💘 Sustainable & secondhand things 🌱 Plant based vegan wellness
But I’m also passionate about 🦋 self development, 🤠 solo-female independence, 💵 financial wellness/literacy, 📔 planners and journaling, and 🤍 minimalism/organization/essentialism, so you’ll probably see those things pop up as well.
I believe that wellness encompasses more than what we think and do with our bodies, it comes along with how our communities operate, how connected we are to the planet, as well as how we treat it and the animals we share it with.
Come along for the ride as I share my lifestyle and what I get up to on this wild journey we all call life.

🦋 Thank you for being you. The world needs your uniqueness. 💘
it’s been a year since you’ve posted this video and i think about it often. every time i remember the vague plan you laid out within the video it stirs something in my brain that says i should be doing something different. stop buying little things that i know i don’t need and start planning more for the future. not the super distant future- maybe the next 5-6 years. i’ve left my apartment due to unsafe living conditions, i’ve recently gone thru a breakup where i thought it would end in marriage, and now i’m feeling stuck in a grey area where i question what i want with my life. and when one thing stresses me out, everything stresses me out. quite frankly, i’m tired of the life lessons and am ready for the path that leads me to be my happiest self. so thank you christina for waking me up by simply sharing your story. excited to someday hear more of it :)
heyyy 👋 hope you are doing fine 😊 . I'm reaching out because I remmember watching one of your videos long ago where you made a DIY shampoo with anemone (If I remmember right) for dandruff (we have the same prob and I think we actually have the exact type of hair and scalp). Unfortunatly I searched several times but I couldn't find the video. Could you share the recipe again please? In my country I don't really think we have affordable zero waste shampoos that are sold close by (I don't have a car) and are 100% bio (mine now is 95% from natural origines (whatever that means) and is sold in plastic bottles (there is one shop in the whole country that does the refill but it's too far). Thank you and keep up the good work 😊 .
10:27 good to see you have legs. I watched a bunch of your video's, and you almost never film your legs. It helps to get a more complete image, but no full shot either. Tripod?
I'm puzzled when it comes to razors. I use BIC disposables. I measured them, and they contain 0.2 gram of steel, and 2 gram of recycled plastic. I get a 3€ 12 piece bag per year, each one for a month. I use no lotion or anything. I think with proper disposal and considering CO2 footprint, these are unbeatable.
Good tips, but somehow I expected other tips. Maybe they are in another video. My tips for thrifting (clothes) is 1) bring tape measure, 2) know sizes of good fitting clothes (waist, pit-to-pit, rise, inseam are most important) 3) take a loupe or good reading glasses as faded tags are a pain to read (phone with good macro can help too). 4) a bit more personal preference, but "no plastic". If I see polyesther, acryl or spandex, I leave it. This reduces options by 90%, which is great.
I was purchased soap my grey hair not turn black cheating business not good . I was most fed up this soap I hate this type of people.better to ignore to do this purchase product
I started drinking amla juice by mixing it with juice from aloe vera twice a day. Regularly cutting the hair additionally helps. Take care of the lifestyle. Use liitlexteral coocoonion hair oil shampoo set as both are known good for reducing hair fall. If you will do this every day, you will results in just a few weeks.
I realize your video is 4 years ago, but please don't buy Rosehip oil in bulk! it is very soon oxidizing.... it is not stable at all! buy in very little badges and use it soon.
they say that its better buying plastic thootpaste for example cause to produce metal packages industris pollute double the amount they would produce with plastic so its actually making climate change worse....does anybody know if its true??
Helllooo fellow curly-haired friend! Haha I love your goofy personality and I think we would get along well and would be friends! x D similar senses of humor haha! Anyway thank you so much. This is incredibly helpful. We have very similar hair types- and I'm sure you know how important that is for hair care tips.
love guppy friend & love your vid! i kinda worry now about finding fast fashion or not fully ethical/sustainable items in thrift stores, but then the humanness & at least i'm thrifting?
Hi Christina, I'm Anna and I'm from Italy, I've just discovered your channel and I've already watched several videos of yours (loved them). I just wanted to know if everything was okay because this is your last video and it's from a year ago... I don't mean to put pressure on you, I just hope you are happy and everything's okay. Sending you a big hug <3
Hi, hey, hello, since you're new here and I have been around for years, am I completely insane when I say Christie's hair used to be black?!? And now it's brown? Are my eyes deceiving me?😂😂😂 I need a fresh pair or eyes to help me out 😁
Hi. I am Vinny from India. As most of the world already knows, a majority of big multi-million dollar fashion houses of the fashion industry manufactures their clothes in countries like ours because of the availability of cheap labour and lack of strict labour laws enforced by the authorities. Like most of people, I used to look at the haul videos and this would make me self pity, not being able to afford clothes every other week. But, by watching videos such as yours and learning how the fashion industry (especially fast fashion) is destroying our planet, I realised that the values my parents have instilled in me regarding buying clothes and taking good care of it and extending the wear and buying only when in need, I have acquired a new respect for my parents and myself. Thanks for encouraging others to do the same.
Something to note for all the ladies that might be interested in getting a safety razor: Pretty much all of the safety razors specifically marketed to women are rebranded private label manufactured razors, so chances are you can find the exact same razor for a lot cheaper if you're okay with it not having pastel coloured paint on it. (Look at Weishi, Baili, DS Cosmetics etc.) Most razors are also cast from Zamak (zinc-copper alloy) that has been chrome plated. It's a decent material and will last long if you look after it, but it can fracture or chip if dropped or knocked, since cast metals are brittle like glass. The most common breakage you'll see is the top cap's threaded post shearing clean off/having it stay behind in the handle's threads after being dropped from standing height or mishandled during shipping. Due to being cast, they can't be repaired in any way. You could replate a razor after having lost its chrome, though. In my opinion, the most underrated (and mostly unknown to women wanting to get into using a safety razor) product range out there would be Razorock's line of 100% stainless steel safety razors. (Sold on their ItalianBarber website) They cost only slightly more (around $60 to $70) than most of the razors made of Zamak and they have none of their weaknesses. Definitely the best value for money in the wet shaving market. If you already have a razor, don't sweat it, but if you're still looking to buy one, be sure to check them out. You'd like their "super knurl" handle. West Coast Shaving also sells a razor made specifically for women, with a silicone-covered extra-long handle and a set-angle razor head. Also, one piece of advice: Wet shave. Canned foam is "dry" and filled with air that makes the experience uneven and its application doesn't prep your hair. Get some sort of brush and a shaving soap that actually lathers well. If you want vegan, PAA's CK6 formula is explosive and synthetic/horse hair brushes don't involve utilizing something from dead animals.
Made the switch when I had to buy a new one! dm had their brand one available for only 5€ so I figured why not. Used it a couple of times and I'm thoroughly pleased w the result, even though I had to go slower
Any update? I think your goal of achieving what you want can really only come after you become independently wealthy, in whichever fashion you can find. My impression is that a 9-5 job is not in your cards of life.
First off I am a CIS Male but I have a nonbinary AFAB partner that I helped with switching to DE. I assume this is an inclusive community. I have experience with Twist Top Off or Butterfly razors but I started with 3 piece razors which are the best travel razors imo. Two peice is like 3 piece except the handle and bottom of head is attached. So I started DE razor shaving about 8 years ago due to shaving irritation I had from my jobs that required me to shave every other day or everyday. I had a close friend years ago, now currently my spouse, ask me about my shaving routine due to them noticing my face clearing up and in general I had less oil and razor bumps. In time, I taught them how to use a DE on legs and underarms initially and gifted them their own long handled Butterfly razor. Years later we still use them and it has been cheaper overall. For both of us I spend maybe $30 a year after the initial upfront cost. However, I will state upfront cost for DE razors can be intimidating but worse case scenario I was able to find a DE Razor that was usable at $1 but average is $25-50 for a razor that will last at least 10 years, and 1000 blades can last about 3-10 years and cost anywhere between 3-15 cents a shave depending on how often you use.
