I am an HVAC/R journeyman technician in the Phoenix, AZ area. This area is infested with HVAC hacks, especially in the residential HVAC side of the business. Over the past 20 years of being in this area I have collected many pictures and videos of the hackfest problem in our area which I have shared on youtube. Most of my new videos will be "how to's" or otherwise show n tell with the occasional findings of some hackery. I am also a "Geek" who's assorted hobbies include DIY automotive and electronics which will be featured here as well from time to time.
Shading the condenser unit has already been proven to be a huge waste of time. Was a 2 year study in Florida done, and it resulted in half a percent of efficiency. Follow the manufactures suggestions on clearances.
Yup. I took sample temps some years ago when people argued for them. As soon as the ODM starts the "shaded air" is gone in seconds and the exposed grill/coil temps (from direct sunlight) also change to whatever air temp is moving thru them within seconds. Then to top it off, most sun shades caused the hot rising air to be trapped and partially recirculate, causing worse conditions than no shade. 😮
@@hackfreehvac nice im gonna throw on the transition mount tonight. I did the driver side and the rear roll restrictor mount with the ford focus upgrade. It got better but still vibrates, figuring its the transmission mount that’s jacked up still.
At the theme park I believe they are waiting for a billboard sign to be relocated before that loop track is completed. I do see that they have continued to paint and complete some of the buildings and a new elevator tower is up. That could be the barbie house or maybe something else. I just got some spare batteries for the newer drone. So maybe I'll go check it out for an update.
depends on the price of the unit! If its low dollar yeah turdman. if its of decent value who know they just might up there game. but, most likely be contractor grade stuff

It seems like they used common sense till u try to change the oil and realize they actually had no clue wtf they were doing with the oil filter location
The heater core on my 1942 Chevy truck was leaking. I took it out. Three nuts, two hose clamps and a single wire. Fixed it with pepper and paint (zero PSI cooling system), total time in and out was minutes, not counting the time for the paint to dry.

This video saved me thousands in repairs. I have the same car in the same colors, and it's been shuddering ever since i got it. I was waiting for the transmission to completely fail before taking it to mechanic. I cant thank you enough
Good effort, she has done some miles, but still, the alternator shouldn't break inside 10 years.. not designed to be fixed but designed to fail.... Well, you fixed it anyway. Keep up the good work.
Another video shows that if you spray WD-40 into the alternator, that might unseize the alternator enough for you to drive the car home. Save yourself a tow.
Yes but then you got brake rotors that house the hub with cone bearings which is a dumb design, just because its old doesnt mean there isnt things that could have been designed better
I have 2 48V powmr inverters (spk5) connected to 3 - 48v 100ah Vatrer batteries. One inverter is showing a Fault code 5 Battery OverCurrent Hardware Protection while the other does not. The batteries are fine and not over charged... Do you know if there is a setting I need to change? Or do you think the inverter has an internal problem?
I told him to just get a tow truck but nooo. Everything shut off on me almost an hour away from home!!! (first power steering and i was thankfully able to get safely into a parking lot)
@@ashlynmichele4909 that is what happens with to days cars when the battery gets to low be your lucky some of them everything works until its just about dead then wham off everything goes gauges lights you name it and your dad likes to fix things him self you wont ever change that part of him i have known him for years on a site called HVAC TALK his RU-vid name used to be paysonbadboy he's good at fixing things and frankensitineing them as well
