another technique is vulnerability. open up your shame- it makes them feel closer to you. they feel like they know you more than they actually do. the weeknd does this. you want to appear not perfect or intimidating. they feel understood. you’re their secret now.
Honestly just be an idol for an audience. Best way to get an audience is teenagers. If you can get them to like your music you'll do well. You can also ask around and see what your locals are into and meet up with other musicians of the same genre. Collab and youll get fans of their audience on your side as well.
Honestly, I fw u partially because of the content/advice but mostly because of how, in this day and age, it's kinda comforting to watch a creator who doesn't give a fuck about political correctness or social sensitivity. The fact that you've said "retard" in every video of yours that I've watched is a huge breath of fresh air compared to everyone else who bleeps out words like "kill" out of fear of getting demonetized
This video is a mistake 💀. You generally want an eq before a compressor so you can attenuate unwanted frequencies, sometimes you want a compressor afterwards too for final shaping , be careful tho eqing again after compressing will alter the dynamics of the sound.
for language you can kinda use your group or your people or just the name of ur own stuff to do this. For example, Odd Future fans used to say ofwgkta in comments or to others and they would be like wtf are you saying but the fans would know. its the same with how tyler the creator still references these inside jokes or terms with his fans like his new song dogtooth talking about his daughter. basically if you use a few acronyms or terms that makes people feel exclusive understanding it they feel cool
Now I've been all through it and more and I'm still dealing with s***and that anxiety is always there like it used to not ever be because of all these experience I've had I've let reprogram my brain to always being like that and I can't do the music like you said when you tried to start but I used to make awesome s*** even with s*** quality knowledge of the programs mixing and such I was able to make such better sounding music even w mixes and good shit knowledge br I am not in the same headspace
definitely don’t agree about not letting people think for themselves. to each their own i guess. I think the first step everyone should follow in being an artist is getting comfortable doing uncomfortable things. Watching this video is just repeating the cycle of consuming. START PRODUCING content. Do what feels right to you, stop seeking so much advice.
I do not recommend this, don't mix vocals without a beat and turn the beat on after you've fully finished the vocal mix...becoz it's not always going to sit perfectly on the beat
