Sadly, in the uk i can only get the 3 pedal set. But i seeing these coming up a lot and im wondering if i should. I really really want to know if who else has these pedals and should i get them?
The latest models do have front mounts. However, Moza hasn't announced an official update (or V3) as of yet. The model DiMaggio is reviewing in this video looks like an old V2 though; no frontside mounting holes.
I just installed mine last night had the whole rig for a week prior. No creaks or issues or even noticible flex while driving .Now i have some kind of rattle seems likes its coming out of the wheel itself like the sound of a loose button. Work on my own motorcycle/service my car etc so i am no stranger to a wrench. I cant work out what i have done wrong here. I used torque wrench on base clamp 8nm, payed attention to the order of screws etc .😅 I was just saying to my misses before installing i really dont think i needed to buy this. Sim racers seem a little pedantic regarding noises etc. its safe to now say i am extremely bothered by this rattle and am also a little pedantic
I know its late but in the TH8S you can mount it with bolts i think, you have to un screw a lil' base where in the upper section of the part where you atach it an voila, there you have the space with bolts. I've seen it in a video but your video has convinced me to absolutly buy it. THANKS
No fanajunk is definitely a toy compared to moza and simagic! I’ve owned👇🏻 Logitech Thrustmaster Fanatec Moza Simagic Simucube And my top 3 are 1 simagic 2 moza 3 simucube- only reason I put simucube 3rd is no full eco system after how many years, expensive, wireless wheel hubs are expensive, you’re average sim racer doesn’t need 17nm or more! Also owned 3 full fanatec setups and never again would I buy anything from them! Owned- CSW V2.5 9nm belt driven,gt dd pro 5nm and 8nm, also the newest clubsport dd 12nm! Gt dd pro and clubsport dd both even had qr2. All were junk. My moza r12 feels so much better than fanatec clubsport dd with was nothing but problems. And both are 12nm and my simagic alpha is 15nm.
@@SIMRIG412 Maybe there is a difference between your R12 compared to my R9 but that’s not my point. I have owned 4.5 of the items on your list and I don’t consider Fanatec DD’s toys. They serve a considerable purpose for Console players who are thankful they finally get something other than a toy. And I have always waited a year before ordering a new Fanatec item and so far all items have been extremely reliable. I might order the Clubsport DD in 6 more months….I want to see how the company fares with new ownership.
Hey Dan!! Thank you for the video. I read your community post and i understand. If you start focusing on irl car stuff i will definately check out your videos. Thank you for the video. Tomothy Jones signing out. Peace✌️
Not only that most of those things emulates a g29 or something so feedback quality is affected. Im looking into Simagic with the Sigma Cortex which emulates a Fanatec DD.
Abour that rattle. I had R9V1. Went for R16 to get that extra oomph ;)This sounds can come from these 6 allen bolts on the shaft. Around the plate with the contact pins. Tightening them did the trick for me.
I'm hoping that KW Studios get the new game engine and code bought up to date asap. There hasn't been a dev update since the Traxion interview 13 months ago. With weather and day/night in other stuff I own, I just got bored rigid of fine dry lapping. I've hardly used it in the last 3-4 years. It's not been installed for a while. I own most dlc though. Sadly, to me the graphics and modern CPU/GPU optimized code is long overdue. Once they complete the work required to make it modern, then I hope to return. Time will tell.
some graphics updates coming soon, u can see the difference in recent trailers of BMW Pack and Portimao rework that were made on test build but there basically is no chance for rain or even night since this engine doesn't support light sources atm so the headlights just doesn't work - I don't like to drive under both these conditions so I don't care about them but I agree that things like that would bring more people to this sim especially since endurance races is basically most popular thing atm so even if driving in it feels amazing people won't join without it
Hey great video, i was just wondering is this suitable for a g29 wheel with shifter and pedles idk if ill buy a direct drive but id like to know id dont need one to use this stand
It is there. In the TR80 LITE page and separately. Under "WHEEL BASE MOUNT" is "SEAT SLIDER" selection NONE or WITH SLIDER (caps because its caps in the site). If you want it separately just search "Seat Slider" in their search and it comes right up. Alternatively in Popular Addon's selection there is Universal Seat Slider.
I agree, when i went from g27 pedals to csl elite pedals with a load cell definitely made me way more consistent. But going from the g27 wheel to the csl elite wheel was amazing even if i didn't get faster. It was like going from a toy to a real wheel. Got a alpha mini and gt neo supposed to be here tomorrow.. cant wait😁broke my csl elite years ago by putting to much force at max rotation trying to save a spin. It still works but definitely not 100%.
Got to say the v1 csl pedals sucked tho, the load cell was great but i constantly had problems with the plastic gears on the throttle and clutch sensors wearing causing input spikes.. love my v3's tho. No issues in 4 years.
This is the most relatable sim to me as of physics, I love this game, and it plays super nice with my G9 ultra wide, im on the DD1 and sim magic p1000 hydraulic and so on . if you get in the weeds with tweaking settings, killer racing!!!!
FM was built from ground up while FM 7 had years of updates and reused assets from previous versions. I don't mind playing it still as I found the new FM boring for now.
Fm was not built from the ground up and that thing was debunked alot of times already(leaked game files where the skybox from fm 7 was in the new fm game which means reusing assets. Almost all tracks are same from previous games). Fm still reuses some cars from 2005 just like Fm 7 reused them. The thing is that new FM is nowhere near the quality of content that FM 7 had.
Great video. Question: I just started sim racing and bought a used G29 a week ago and I can already tell a DD is in my future, but I don’t know what type yet. Probably not buying one for a few months. I really need a wheel stand now though. I’m torn between this one and the Next Level racing DD which is the same price but more heavy duty. It does not fold or have the wheel tray. I think I can do without the wheel tray though as I already have the bell feet on my chair as I have hardwood floor and a small dog. I do like the idea of folding though, but not necessarily a deal breaker. And I have NO idea what DD I’m going to get, but likely it will NOT be top of the line, high newton meters. My concern is NOT having to buy another wheel stand again. I essentially want to be future proof. So should I get the 2.0 or the DD? Thanks in advance.
I've never sim raced before but have been interested for a while. Would you recommend going straight to the 8Nm bundle version ($499.80) over the 5Nm bundle ($399.85) so as to save $50 + shipping for the Boost Kit later on at $149.95? Are you aware of any other bundles that might have a better (not plastic/rubbery) steering wheel? Or are you able to upgrade the wheel within the bundles?
When I tried the new FFB 2 months ago with a belt drive wheel, I was disappointed. After I purchase a direct drive wheel a few weeks ago. I tried RR again and oh boy, it is the best ffb for DD wheel I ever tried. The way it handles the force, the rotation of the wheel, cut the wheel power on crash is amazing. For the first time, I don't have to think about setting my DD wheel to tried not to lose a finger. RR had the best gear and belt driven wheel with their old FFB, now they did it again, this time for direct drive. They are truly the best at it.
I have a question regarding which bundles to buy. Its currently between the CSL DD 8nm bundle, and the monza r5 bundle. Cant seem to chose, do you have any suggestions?
Hi. I use the same combo - T818 with SF 1000 . Show us how are your ffb oscillationts on straights when you take hands off wheel. I have big problem with this (especially in iRacing) no matter what settings I use and even with damper at 100%.
My bro has one of these. They feel cheap amd plasticy. Especially when clamped to a table. G920 feels better quality. Altho i lile tge features on this wheel. The display is cool and u can set different settings and quick change between them.
Great vid! As I am getting my first DD wheel, I am on the lookout for a sturdy way to mount my very first DD wheel. Funny thing, I have been looking for the CLS DD, but I have been reading around and the Moza R5 has really been sturring in my mind, since I read about it. Seems to be a good entry level choice and with the stand you review, could be a very good combo. I can't wait to experience my first DD wheel. I know it'll take some time to get used to, but, if my driving is improved after changing to a DD wheel, I am a happy driver.
Hey Dan, appreciate the review! Just some correction: at around the 15:00 mark, the 2 adjustment holes on the pedal arm is actually not for neutral positioning - they are also for customizing the stiffness. If you look at the bottom of the pedal, near the pedal arm pivot point, you'll see a hidden away blue stopper. That one determines where the neutral position is if you want the pedal face a little forward or backward. Hope that helps ;)
Forza 7 is hardly playable on a FFB wheel, even if you bodge it with third party software. Additionally, you haven't been able to buy it in ages so it's not relevant either. FM8 not running smoothly may be down to a few things, but it can and does run smoothly if you set it up correctly. Random frame drops sounds like forced rebar/SAM. The game doesn't like it. Turn it off. Or you're running out of VRAM. I personally run an 80fps cap and can hit it comfortably 99% of the time. Don't tell Turn10 and their 60 fps multiplayer cap. I ain't playing at 60. Especially with FFB being broken in first person.
LOL! Are you some teenage troll? Of COURSE it is relevant. Of COURSE it is more than playable on a FFB wheel. Servers are still up and literally millions still own it. FM8 is shitty and not improving. There's no comparison. I was smart enough to buy FM7 in its last week when it went down to $9.95. I was also smart enough to skip FM8 after watching reviews. Too bad you weren't.
@@ErickPred How the “center hold” i realized playing FH4 the wheel almost doesn’t get “stiff” at center no matter how much you change the setting. Assuming FM7 has way better overall FFB you’d say?
@@BlvckPapa honestly never paid attention but I don't like using wheel on horizon series, I do play other game like ACC and project cars 2 and in fact they are in another league when it comes to wheel immersion compared to forza motorsport 7, so it's not the greatesst experience specially if you are a Sim-head, but as a game it works well and it's playable, just don't expect same immersion as Sim games.
