This is the 5th video I've watched on this effect and the only one I could make work. Such simple instructions explained at a pace that allowed me to implement the steps without pausing and repeating. Thank you so much!
Thank you very much! This is not EXACTLY what I am doing but it's darn close and gets me a good start!! All the other videos show how to convert a CMYK to spot in illustrator by simply using EDIT COLORS; RECOLOR ARTWORK?! Not at all what I, and others, need. Thank you for a methodical explanation using channels.
Does your tri-lock registration jig work perfectly with the Anatol side clamp locking handle that you have to manually lock it down separately? The Volt users have said that once you lock down the second clamp the registration goes little off without the jig
That’s what you need in the end; you can have a color in a separate layer tagged as a Pantone but it will still read as a composite 4 color. You can create the layer and then take the selection and make it an alpha channel.
Thank you for such a clear and thoughtful lesson! I'm not a graphic designer so don't know all the lingo, but this helped me accomplish the task at hand!
Thank you! I have printed before with water based inks many years ago and I started again this month. Suddenly the ink has started to dry in the screen after the first print which never happened before as I remember. I was not flooding the area so I'm pretty sure that's the problem. Great video and explanation!
I don’t get how opacity applies to the film and then to the screen. like if you printed one 100 opacity and another 75 with out a rip software is it halftones that make it look the way it does?
Hopefully not a dumb question but when it prints the rip software turns the lower opacity areas into halftones? Does this particular underbase have halftones as well in the red of the door? This was an incredible video!!
Newbie here, what is the suggested off-contact for a regular hoodie, I was told a nickle, is this correct (btw, I am just using a Speedball wood screen print screen).
