Nice video, but not really best advices. Really using tools like local Digikaam (free opeen source, local) or Google Photos (cloud, paid for meaningful amount of photos) covers all mentioned and so much more and is the best advice for anybody, a computer greenhorn or a geek. You want to have photos tagged by people in them (both Google photos and Digikam support some level of AI recognition), place (if geolocation metadata are stored, can be tagged using those) and often you want to add various different tags like Birthday, Boat. Renovations, Vacation, etc. Then, if you click on "Boat" you'll see only photos of your boat and if you narrow it down to "Renovation" you'll get those specific photos. Tagging is a must when dealing with tens of thousands of photos.
Thanks, Denis! If you are satisfied with the way your photos are organized at the moment, no need to action. However, if you would like to further streamline them, maybe you can use a drive to collect and organized them all. Best of luck, Lea
my office is a chaotic mess of ex wives and gfs stuff stored and the computer I use there is the mother of all chaos. My workshop up the road is equally as bad, but very dusty too. I try to transport stuff from one place to the other but the back of my car is also a chaotic mess. My iPhone is constantly full and blah blah delete stuff or no what's app. Now to be serious, my brain is equally filled up and totally chaotic. I need a help person....and a new comp to start (yet) again. My creativity knows no bounds except the art of tidying up/order/discipline.....
Hello, Thanks for sharing. Our organisation dosent allow notion application for meeting notes. Do you have any suggestions for Microsoft products where we can have the structure of the meeting notes you mentioned ? Please do share .
Hi.. Problem with Ruler Lines is that when you start type text, it will not stay within the lines but would follow its own format which at times is really annoying and thats the reason I moved to Notion. Do you've a solution for that? thank you :)
I have gone through around 10 videos on this topic (must-have/best Chrome extensions) today, and I found this video in a "suggested videos" section. After watching this fabulous video with a beautiful way of explaining the need and use of each of those 4 extensions, I will now "Suggest" and share this with my besties ;). Keep up the good work and looking forward for more such videos from you Lea @LeaDavid :)
I would love for you to post Part 2. Thank you for this very helpful video on what you can do with Outlook to make life more organized and efficient while utilizing Outlook!
I'm probably going to ask a dumb question. I see the Admin folder on all levels. What is the purpose of the folder in the proposed hierarchy? I know what administration is. I just want to know why the folder is apparently on every sublevel.
Hi Fabio, no worries. It's just an example for a project folder at work where you might want to put anything related to administration such as contractual documents, timesheets, travel plans etc.
I think your advice is a bit dated. 1) Since most people now days use laptops with limited space it is not practical to gather all photos (and videos) in the internal drive. Space will lbe a limiting factor. 2) For larger collections of media I strongly recommend using an app like Lightroom. With most of these apps you can easily find photos based on date regardless of where and how they are physically stored. 3) In apps like Lightroom you can create collections or virtual folder for easy access to images with a common theme. The same photo can be maid available in multiple collections without actually create physical copies. The most important part of some organisation of media on drives (internally or externally) is to simplify the important task of making backups.
Thanks for sharing, but I do not think so. 1. Sure, feel free to use an external drive or a cloud storage. 2. Not everyone has access to such a software or would like to use one. But sure, if you can and would like to do so, it's a great option. 3. see 2. :)
Hi Lea 1) What is a good way to add Metadata to pictures? 2) What is a good way to add Image Alt Text to pictures? Both in Windows 10. BTW Thank you for your video :)
Hi Thomas, good question. Either you use a software that will help you do that or you do it by going to a pictures properties via right click and then adding metadata on the Details tab by clicking on the respective row and adding it. Hope this helps :)
I had no idea CCleaner actually did that level of de-duping. Thanks o/ Ironic as it might seem, I wish your Digital Architect guide had a physical copy option.
Thank you for sharing these useful organizing principles with us, appreciate that 👍🏻 By the way, great video timing, it came at the right moment, many thanks to you! Diving in the digital tiding 🙃 Hope someday I'll triumphantly complete this endless process 😆
@@LeaDavid Thanks! 😌 Would You kindly do a Video about how one can remember useful Keyboard Shortcuts? You obviously know Your Stuff and You could give good Advice how to do it efficiently.
You speak too quickly, you're not easy to understand you haven't made anything easy here. Try again. I wanted to learn one thing. And all you did was confused me. Learn how to teach before you speak
This would be more helpful if you explained the " how to" at a slower pace and your images were larger and easier to see. I'm pretty sure I wasn't the only one still at the "starting line," and you were already halfway around the track. Lol. On a positive note, I think your tips can be helpful.
Great info, Lea. And very concise! I had to re-watch a couple segment because I was confused at first, but that's easy enough to do. One question: Does backing up the Public folder cause anything unusual to happen?
Thank you, Madam. For the past five months, my Lenovo 9i keyboard has been exhibiting unusual behavior. When I press certain keys, it triggers shortcuts unintentionally. For instance, pressing 'S' activates the Snipping Tool, 'R' adjusts the refresh rate, 'Spacebar' alters the backlight brightness level, and 'M' switches touch mode, among others. This forces me to rely on the floating keyboard or other accessory keypads, rendering the physical keyboard unusable. This issue occurs randomly, sometimes even when I restart the PC or close its cover, without any prior indication. It's worth mentioning that there hasn't been any spillage on the keyboard. Could you please advise on how to address this problem?
lea cannot say any word .... you are very very awesome!!!! thanks for the video just subscribed !!! whoever comes after got to like this button please😊
