Gute Frage! Normally ‘wie steht es?’ (How does it stand?) or ‘wie steht es bei + (team name)?’ Or ‘wie steht es beim Spiel (Team A) gegen (Team B)?’ “Entschuldigen Sie bitte. Wissen Sie, wie es beim Spiel Deutschland gegen Schottland steht?” (Excuse me, please. Do you know what the score is in the Germany vs. Scotland game?) Hope that helps!
I’m finally able to get these adjective endings to stick in my head. I tried workbooks. I tried to preply tutor (most of them are very disorganized). I tried everything ; videos not until this video, did I finally get it. The frying pan is such a great example.
This was for me one of the bestest best explanations on RU-vid, this topic has been one of the most kompliziert topics as English doesn't have such things or rather we don't encounter such intricacies in it ❤❤❤ vielen Dank Lehrer
Danke sehr! 🙏🏼 *ein guter Lehrer (Adjective endings are usually not for beginners, but check out the video if you’re interested! ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-W7TbmQq_u_4.htmlsi=LmAK9JnHUjNnrXtP)
A valid point! Some of my early videos are being reworked as we speak, so I will get it into one of those and share! For now, have a look at this one: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-XcOhhssTd28.htmlsi=vTcgOFhysRLFEu4s&t=467s
Correct me if I’m wrong for thinking about this wrong but I feel like one could rationalize by the da words being similar to a contraction of das + a preposition, so for example damit would be literally it with
Hi there, I need your help. I am blind and a braille user and I’ve been trying to learn German for fun. I’ve been trying for a year now with every resource I can get my hands on from the videos to other creators to Duolingo to book etc. However I am struggling because although I want to take it very seriously I cannot get any Braille resources. At least where I am in the world German is not a super popular language meaning these resources are not readily available, and neither could I find anything to purchase like on Amazon. Therefore, what do I do? Even with your videos for example which are really auditory I cannot take notes. I cannot see the videos to get down the spelling, and then be able to review those notes. Therefore reviewing those notes looks like watching your videos again which isn’t super productive, at least for me because ordinarily my ideal learning style is taking notes and practising off those notes and then creating questions about those notes and seeing if I can answer those questions, etc. I understand that you might not have an answer, but if you did have any ideas or suggestions please let me know. Thank you
Hi! Thanks so much for your comment and for your use of the videos. I will investigate this and let you know what I find! I’ll try to get back to you soon!
The way I like to think about it is rather than using a connector word like who or whom you can think of it in literal translation as that is my brother, he I find funny. Obviously this isn’t correct in English but it’s close enough to get the same meaning

Hi! Yes, both are used in speech. Konjunktiv I (Indirekte Rede) is used in more formal speech, for example a news report, and Präteritum is used in speech for a handful of verbs (sein/haben/geben/modal verbs, etc) and if there is an obvious insinuation that the action is something that USED TO happen (but doesn’t anymore)
