I have watched 50 service videos for a few brands and this was the least user friendly so far and a messy job due to drain locations. brands like KIOTI had a much better design for maintenance on their items. he did a good job doing the work on the Summit but it was not a easy job compared to other brands.

Summit TX25 size and hp makes it very limited on what it can do and the size attachments it can handle. I have a New Holland TN70A 70hp that wieghts around 8000lbs and lift capacity of around 3000lbs and I still feel it has limits and it does. Always buy a tractor a little larger than you think you need. 35hp to 50hp is good range. Get a 50hp tractor if you have space to operate it and the money.

Nice Tractor but a 25hp tractor is very limited as to what it can do and the size attachments it can handle. A 35HP to 50HP tractor will be a better fit for most peoples needs. Hopefully Summit will make a larger tractor soon. They are on the right track. The TX25 offers a lot of nice features and it's a very attractive Tractor.....

TYM 2515 is they way to go if anyone is interested in 25hp Tractor. I bought a JD 5103 500hrs and a New Holland TN70A with loader 1500hrs for the total price of $25,000 both per emissions. About the cost of one new 25hp tractor. Prices on New Tractors are outrageous now!!! I would mind having a TYM 2515...

Resale value is so overrated. Your saving $ 10K upfront and the service use for many years. So the resale is just icing on the cake. Irrelevant unless your looking for a short term purchase. Excellent video, begs the question of when JD and other premium brands will once again put people in front of profits.

Glad you’re enjoying your Summit Tractor. You covered some areas of concern that I share. The US and world tractor market are fairly small markets overall. Solis, Mahindra, Kioti, TYM, LS, Branson, and other asian manufacturers are competing for the compact, sub-compact US market against Kubota, John Deere, New Holland, Bobcat, Massey, Case etc. Price points, included features build quality, warranties, and manufactures financing programs make the decision on which to buy fairly complex. For me I chose not to buy Chinese for many reasons. First there’s the communist tyranny government, true enemies of republic democracies. When you can easily deal with foreign US allies, better quality at a very competitive price, have a dealer backing your purchase with maintaining and obtaining parts when needed and support local dealers who also support the Ag community with jobs and services, why would anyone opt for supporting a Chinese communist government controlled company? For me the price of supporting US allies, local dealers and not contributing to the CCP is by far the best way to do my part to help preserve Our constitutional freedoms. If you can’t buy American at least buy from US allies. The bigger picture my friend, hope this helps others to consider not just the price things but the value of our actions and the things we put our American dollars into.

Thanks for the video. I'm in the market for a small tractor. John Deere and Kubota are on top so far. Kioti, Bobcat and Bad boy are not on the list because I have three friends that bought them and all three had major problems. Summit was of the list until I saw a servicing dealer in Game a KS. Hopefully it is as reliable as a Kubota.

The one piece of advice that stuck out to me when shopping for our first new tractor was: Prioritize choosing the best dealer/service center as much as your tractor model. For us in our location this meant JD, Kubota and LS. We ended up with LS; I think we'll be happy. (Also found out that blue paint is a lot cheaper than Green or Orange - $10,000 and $13,000 respectively).

Great video man. The stump grinding biz is a tough gig and depends a lot on location . I'm also starting stump grinding biz but renting a stump grinder to start out and then if I make enough money then buy a 3 point hitch grinder like the one you mention . Will be watching .

I have enjoyed your videos as Summit is on my list for getting a tractor this year and would probably put a hydraulic top link on. I know it has the hydraulic remotes on the back but does it have the switch to operate it already? I believe there is a switch for the 3rd function on front but didn't know about the rear. Thanks.

Excellent recap and commentary! I first heard about Summit Tractors and ITL watching Good Works Tractors which got me interested in keeping track of the company. Then you came up in my suggested feed and I became a subscriber. I'm also watching Piney Grove and their recent new partnership with Summit Tractors. I like and trust both those channels very much and feel they are both highly principled, but still it is nice to hear the perspective of someone that has shelled out their own hard earned money for everything as well. I'm going to become a first time tractor owner this year. I am looking to buy property in the spring, something between 5 and 15 acres. I'm about 7 to 10 years away from retiring so this is likely the only tractor I will every own. I am really liking everything I am seeing and hearing about Summit, especially the price. Being able to buy 3 or 4 Summit implements with the tractor for the price of another brand tractor and just a loader is huge for someone like myself!

Slow down take your time is the best advice I can give you. Been running tractors for about thirty five years now and speed will damage your equipment and get you hurt. My dad always said tractor work is slow work. And it has served me well all of these years.

They have changed the joy stick for the bucket so it's not that tall one anymore also they do have a backhoe attachment I've seen one on a Summit tractor here where I live . I'm not a fan of the self leveling bucket either but if you use it for lifting pallets or totes their fine but rolling the bucket back to get a full bucket of gravel or what ever your using it for can be an issue. I guess you just have to decide which would work best for you and purchase the equipment that best suits your needs. Overall looks like a fairly decent little tractor.

I ended up with kubotas ….im fairly able to maintain and fix most everything not digital on a tractor (other than major hydraulic internal issues) I have a dealer about 15 miles from me and glad I went with a brand that has a dealer close by……being my latest tractor is a L3902 , filters are available from other parties yet….kubota only for now.. my dealer had everything I needed when it came to the 50 hr service .. They’ve also been super helpful with questions I’ve had. Most tractors now days are probably similar to reliability but they’ll all have issues at some point…..dealer support is crucial imo to keep an expensive tractor doing tractor things. Nice video and honest review!
