I hope it works out for you, you seem like a good guy. Whenever I’m asked about this topic I point to the maintenance aspect of it. We have one tractor dealer in our town and the closest other dealer of another brand is 75 miles away, a New Holland dealer. My dealer 3 miles away is a Kubota dealer. Easy choice.

Would not mind to try one myself but no dealer close by that deals in them yet plus service after the sale would be a concern for me. GWT praises them highly. John Deere in my local community but the prices have gone out the roof plus like You mentioned, the add ons that I as well would want don't come cheap. Good luck on your new venture! It's appealing to me, for sure, and I'd like to have a slightly larger frame/tires/etc... I know I could get get good $ for my JD2305 FEL/MMM with its like new condition and low hrs (@315 hrs). It does great for me, but I like the Summit's frame/tire size, remotes etc. I wish I had a crystal ball, lol. I hope time proves it to be a great tractor for you. That is a very short term mindset IMHO. I have these off brand tractors through my auction every year and they always sell for nothing. Once they stop selling them they become worthless not to mention parts avail. Its the same story with every tractor. "Well the components are built by "******" so you'll always get parts." But that never happens. Orphans are worthless. I just had 2 Montanas go through at maybe 10 percent of what they would have been if they were Deeres. To each hisown but I can tell you as someone who sells tractors 12 months out of the year (through my auction), I'd never ever buy off brand equipment ever ever ever.

I doubt parts availability will be a huge problem. ITL (International Tractors Limited) makes the Summit TX25. The Mahindra Max 26, Summit TX25, and Solis H26 are all from India with the same 1.3L Mitsubishi engine and are nearly identical. Like Summit has said themselves there are 18 brands of subcompact tractors, but only 8 companies behind them. My first stop for parts would be a Mahindra dealer. My dad has a ten year old New Holland Boomer 40 with a 2.5L Mitsubishi, and most of the maintenance parts cross reference to other brands. For example, the oil filter is identical to the ones used on a Kia Rio, and the OE filter was the same blue and white color scheme as a Hyundai/Kia filter with the Hyundai H stamped inside. The same filter through New Holland, but with their name on it, cost twice as much as a Kia dealer part's counter.

I have been looking at 25hp tractors and nothing can compete to the price on these so far. Talking to the sales people at the traditional sold tractor dealers, a lot aren't familiar with this tractor yet and when they ask who makes it I tell them and once they realize ITL makes the tractor and its a Mitsubishi engine they focus on warranty work or repairs as their only advantage. For the price difference as a new tractor owner I can purchase at least two attachments and in some cases up to 4. I haven't pulled the trigger yet on a tractor but I am leaning to the Summit. I am fortunate not to live to far from one of the Summit repair facilities if I ever needed warranty work.

It was easy for my wife an i. We bought a Kubota (after 40yrs of JD`s). It would have been another JD for us, but JD wanted way to much money for what they offered compared to the Kubota. Another thing that swayed us away from JD, was their proprietary attachments. Not a fan of that at all. Kubota is all qwik-attach. I`m just not into a new tractor company`s. Parts & service, and lack of dealer support made us go to Kubota. We have 2 Kubota dealers near us, and 2 JD dealers near us, dealer support & money matter to us. Summit may build a decent tractor, but when you go to trade that Summit tractor in, i guarantee you`re gonna take a huge loss on a no name brand. Over time will tell, how all tractor`s work out. Best of luck to you. I hope you don`t any problems with it.

JDQA is much more appropriate for small tractors. The weight savings and implement closer to the pins is just more capable. SSQA is great, for more capable machines. You need more hp and waaay more hydraulic flow to actually unlock the cross compatibility with the skid steers and track loaders. There are many arguments to be made for a brand over another, JDQA vs SSQA isn't one of them. There's just nothing you can't get for the front end in jdqa, and anything you might think of that you can't, really shouldn't be on a subcompact/compact. There's just not a scenario to share implements between a 50+ hp skid steer and a 25hp tractor. FWIW, I own a 2025R, but also use a Kubota lx3310 regularly, and a bobcat often enough .

for a fleet/livelihood farm vehicle JD makes sense but for all other applications, JD makes less sense, if you have time to get it fixed or get a part and it isn't critical to have it instantly or fixed so you can get it back to work so you can make your money as soon as possible, a lot of other tractors seem to make a lot more sense. If having that tractor down a couple of days, isn't a complete show stopper, the cost savings on not having green paint, can absolutely be worth it. Lets face it, John Deere tractors are not head and shoulders above the rest, they about equal to a lot of tractors and are behind on some niche aspects, but cost WAY more for every aspect of that tractor.

The JD fan boys crack me up! I’m 60 years old and have had plenty of John Deere’s, 2,3 kubotas, 2 masseys, 2 Kioti, several commercial mowers (Wright exmark, toro deere). As far as subcompacts and compact tractors, deere would be near the bottom of the list (not because they don’t have a decent company make a good product). They are way overpriced, to much plastic, crappy jdqa, overpriced parts, arrogant dealers, etc. This tractor (just like deere and many others) is made by another company that slaps different paint decals tires maybe a different loader and rebadges them. Most of these subcompacts parts are not a problem, yes some dealers can’t provide all the services u may need, deere is no different. Good luck with your machine.

The Summit tractor may surprise you down the road, if sales take off and supply can't meet demand. The feature-laden Summit, is FAR cheaper than ANY competitor, and can connect any SSQA equipment that is readily available, and NEW John Deere's are not what they used to be. IF Summit develops more wide-spread availability (other than OK-TX-AR-MO), and spreads into the Midwest, it's sales will skyrocket.
