Thanks . A+ Video .I have a 171 2.8l V6 ‘85 Ford Ranger 4x4 light Truck . Replaced the primary wires with a recommended 60 Amp Alternator . And all new Parts and this Instruction is a visual hands on one . I can breathe easier . It’s an old natural aspirated. Engine . I saw a video at You Tube using a #6 AWG BK ground from the 12V Battery Negative Terminal with pigtail ground wire attached to the Alternator Bracket instead of the weak ground at Passenger Side front of truck ground which caused battery drain for many .Plus according to Gary’s Garagemahal expertise it there was a mistake in the Wiring Diagram. This is a solid ground video young man . Let’s ride!
I been trying to wire my grill lights to my parkinf lights and seen how many screws i had to get to because of the tight fit. Im trying this next weekene, u made this look so simple.
@@Wrenchlife604 why are you fucking so rude? I am just saying that I do not like your video, why are you verbally attacking my family? You are such a scum bag.
It's 8.7 ft lbs. My clique type torque wrench bottoms at 120 in lbs, but 1.3 lbs deviation below that won't affect its accuracy I think. I got the wrong info, and was told it was 19 ft lbs. I shared off two of the 6 x 1.0 bolts before I said wtf LoL 😂😂😂😂😂@@Wrenchlife604
@@Wrenchlife6048.7 ft lbs, or 104.4 in lbs. Kinda hard to get right when 10 ft lbs is the lowest setting on my click type. I sheared off two due to wrong info, now I gotta extract them 😂 fun. And my engine sounds so rough, been unstarted for about 4 months. Any advice to smooth it down? Thanks
@jaybae8056 i typicaly dont use a torque wrench because it will shear small bolts. Just use a a regular socket wrench on it and lean to feel when its tight. Just like all the other bolts on the job
what do i do if my new pump and old pulley now rub on the crank pulley? Was i supposed to prop up the waterpulley when installing by inserting soemthing between the pulleys to take up any slack in mounting holes so it didnt sag into crank pulley? to fix do i just loosen it do this now OR was new pump made poorly? Also how tight is too tight for the belts? i just got thios truck week ago and immediately replaced the alt belt but maybe i over tightented them cuz a week later my water pump bearing goes?
Sounds like an issue with the new water pump. Make shure u dont have ur water pump pulley on backwards.,. Let me know. Also the belt should be pretty tight.
I only did about 50% coverage in my 2015 camaro in back seats and trunk area cuz that was easy and only changes i was making sound system wise anywasy was a powered sub in the back, BUT in a gutted car this old i wouldve tried 100% coverage or at least 2 of those kits, maybe 3 and do inside the doors roof and trunk to0
how much was the machine work to get that head all decked cleaned , lapped repair/replace burnt valve? Cleaning, lapping and replace valve seats is doable at home but not the decking, which can make or break a leaky head/manifold
Also do you have a link to the wiring schematics? I have not been able to find one anywhere.. I also have the accord/prelude service manual and it doesn't help with the engine harness
Other then the distributor did you have to change any wires on other sensors? I have sensors on mine that don't reach anywhere. Did you have to extend some wires around the throttle body?
Thank you for the electrical diagram bro, I was looking for this and your video was the best I found that actually made sense and didn’t throw you off with other crap. 👍
Thank you for showing how dishonest RU-vid crap is. EVERYONE I talked to has wrestled with this. It is NEVER as easy as those other vids say it is. Why the hell did Honda weld that nut on?
Most of this work is not needed. You only need to pull the 3 bolts holding the diff. It will drop down far enough for you to replace that single front diff bushing. Easy peasy. Have done several of these. About an hour or so including a bunch of breaks.
