Listening to Cinnabar's theme while reading the final chapter had me weeping. I only started reading the manga a month ago but man I feel empty now. Spoilers for 108 . . . . . . Phos will continue to travel space and time, finally at peace.
Yo, the final panel is like a reincarnation thing with another Phos in another planet? Or is just parallelling a moment with Phos watching a shooting star?
Hearing this is like hearing Death's whistle from Puss in Boots because it makes you feel FEAR in a situation you didn't expect it to even play, and you connect it with the threat appearing with it after listening to it several times. I instinctively went "oh shit" when the sunspot soundtrack played while Phos was adjusting to their new alloy arms.
this called "gamelan" typical regional and culture musical instrument from Indonesia. also when "gamelan" music playing usually describe for mystical things
Man, I remember that they went to the Moon and interacted with the Lunarians, one thought sprung up on my head and I asked "Why do you guys have to be scary every time you pop up? Was that really necessary??"
Rest in peace sonia (@s_s_s880). May you be remembered for your Hnk cosplays and fan art. You held out for so long. Please allow your soul to rest from the pain you must of felt.
This mf ost remind me of my old school ancient chinese battle ost, especially from 0:44 and then on, glad I watched this anime, ost are pretty underrated
When I watched the anime i thought phos and cinnabar friendship going to grow, now... after reading the manga... i just wish phos to be happy like her old self T^T
this song is the reason i watched the anime or even heard about it as spotify recommended it to me I've now caught up with the manga and have no regrets, so much pain but so good
God, this anime is so beautiful... the worldbuilding, the visual direction, the music, the character arcs, the metaphors for trauma and the ways it changes a person and the way they interact with the world; it's all just so perfect. SO WHERE IS SEASON 2, STUDIO ORANGE PLEEEEEASE
I remember being in awe ever since the first episode about humans having evolved into gems. I don't know why, but gems are elegant yet fragile, maybe just like human soul and i was amazed. I still am... Ichikawa protrayed humanity so well through not human characters, which is beautiful in my opinion 😢 Also, " the most human emotion is vengeance" really hit hard. While reading it i thought about everything humans are capable of doing, for the better or for the worst Houseki no kuni is pure art and really philosophical
I know this being is based of Bhuddist mythology what are those instruments those kinda bell sounding instruments called do they have religious significance?
The instruments are called Gamelan. A gong instrument native to the island of Java and Bali, Indonesia. This instrument is also the main orchestra and sound effects in Akira's soundtrack.
