Just double check your “temp” gauge. I know some gauges use different backing screens to switch between oil/water. So maybe theres another screen inside the box that you can swap out.
Not sure if those clamps on the intake hoses are heavy duty enough, might have to upgrade.🤪 The bolts are a nice dress-up detail. Just need a new hood pad. I think about a year ago I paid about $230 for an OEM. Gauges are awesome. Good luck at car show, look forward to the vid
Nice ride, and even better story behind acquiring it. Almost choked up that the previous owner wanted you to have it and made the trip to make it happen. This will stay with you for the rest of your life and I am sure you will smile about it each time you get behind the wheel. Enjoy it!
He was pretty well off, but I agree. For him it was probably equivalent to something like a Netflix account payment coming out of his account each month. Didn’t make a difference to him. Still, doesn’t make sense to me. Lots of people are like that with storage though. They’ll pay for years for literally storing junk and then at the end just take it all to the dump…
Hey up buddy. Just started to follow ya. Watched a few of ya videos and it's cool how honest ya was with ya issue with your brakes. I'm like u. Research everything. Then u miss something. Well ref to this video. Well done coming best in show bud. That's really cool and so cool to see a zx taking pride on that spot. I own x2 zx. A n/a manual converted & a TT Manuel that's my project wide body. And with me running JD Dragons car club here in the UK 🇬🇧. I've managed over the last few years getting zx owners out, at shows and now starting to have more n more every year. We just had one win a few times but a few weeks ago he won the Gold Trophy 🏆 for Best in show. Give us a view bud, follow if u wish and a like on if anything u like. Next month we are on our next tour around Wales. Anyway. Great feeling winning something for the first time as same as I did. Great seeing the zx getting to be seen 😎👌.....Cheers Gino
you lucky man; my first car was an FC T2 and throughout the early 2000s they just continued to decline in value and got trashed so much to the point they are impossible to find nowadays. That thing is a gem, and I can't wait to see how you restore it.
No Way! That is a fantastic story. The car could not have gotten a better home. Faraz has the interest and enthusiasm to be a real car guy. Wow! What a car. Z build to awesome barn find overnight, nice.
Faraz I must admit I am disappointed. It's not at least a z or a nissan. However, amazing. Find awesome bro. Can't wait to see where you take it and where it takes your channel. It does have me hyped as im a sucker for 90s cars and it makes me want to go watch initial D all over again now.
Congrats! I wish I still had my '88 FC T2! I prefer the FC over FD. FD:s are awesome, FC's are sick! Mine was all stock as well, except for wheels, radio, & HKS BOV. Miss that car! Jealous. Congrats again!
FC RX7... After seeing the key and then checking the thumbnail again... FC RX7. Funny thing is I have a '91 Silver Z32 TT & had a '88 FC Turbo II (black).
Damn! Small world! I come to Calgary a lot, might run into you sooner or later lol Maybe I’ll bring the Z there for Driven next year. I wanted to this year but I wasn’t sure I’d have it finished by beginning of May
Ive had a similar issue with the vehicle not shifting while running. In my case, and I recommend you double check, remove the starter and make sure the pressure plate isnt lose. Had to pull the trans twice before I realized what was going on.
Staying with the black and metallic was a good choice. All business, classic, mechanical with industrial strength overtones. Congrats. Accomplishing this is a great confidence builder. I remember you showing off many new tools that are now the solid core of your tool box. Bring on the next vid.😎
Very happy for you!! Much like you, working on this car is a first for me. Wish I had the room for it, I'd try an engine pull myself. Glad I tagged along for your build!
