We're running C-load KO2's. No special tires are needed for towing. Just ensure your tires meet the OE load rating or better, and you're good. Stock tires are fine. Have fun!
hi, just came across this review of the lock n load. i was curious if you ever had any noise or loud whistling sounds while driving on the road. seems some people have had major issues with this but its rarely ever mentioned in reviews. was wondering if you’ve ever had any issues. thanks!
I didn't think of that, but I doubt it was ever in 5-6. It was screaming pretty good going up hills and pretty sure it was in 3-4. Downshifting wasn't a problem, it was just the power it took to drag that box up the hill.
I must admit, I watched this video and then immediately decided it would be better to buy the kit from Victory 4x4 instead...but the video was at least useful convincing me to this instead of spend hours doing it myself
I wish I had watched it before I started as well 😆 It's not as hard as I make it out to be, but Victory makes nice stuff. Although they're not the best use of space at only 24" deep.

Not to deter but it’s a rough rough dirt road that’s not recommended for passenger cars unless you can afford the possible repairs and very likely flat tires. I think close to 20 miles worth
I am having an ABS issue on 2010 Prius that only has 120k! I plan to replace related parts then have the dealer to air bleed and calibrate the ABS. They want over $200 when i did the hard work already. Thanks to the mini vci cable and the Chinese copy cat I can buy all day long for under $20 and have access to service for not only Toyota but Lexus and Scion which i don't own. This is a must have tool as I have practically the same tool as the dealer tech. using for fraction of what they charge each time. No need to buy rip off price from Toyota or their rip off subscription either. You can find or buy online all day long for dirt cheap. Mine comes with license version. Knowledge plus action is POWER!!!!! A used window or macbook will work. I use MacBook Air with virtual window.
How the fuck did you get the bottom of the shock aligned so easily? I’ve spent more than an hour just trying to overcome the resistance from those two bushings and it’s so fucking hard, it’s like the angle is just wrong on my truck
sorry, I meant the small circular pieces on the top deck of your drawer system closest to the rear door. Looks like maybe some kind of mounting tabs or something? I just finished my build following your video and instructions you put out. Love the new drawer system .

How many miles does the GX460 have on it? Im looking at a 2010 GX460 with 220k miles for 13k$ or 08 4runner sport v8 150k for 15.5k$ and cant decide, really just worried aboue reliability/cost of the GX but love the luxury/tech
Mine has 190 K now. Just had the valley leak repaired. Also had to replace the alternator. No other major repairs since this video. Still runs like it’s brand new just drove 2500 miles to Yellowstone and back. You mileage may vary :-)
I wish they'd bring back Dual Survival, it eas such a great show, Dave and Cody were amazing together, it seemed closer to the end of the show they had built a mutual respect for one another.
Great video, ? I'm building a diy camper on an old pop-up frame, if I was to attach this on the side, and it has a swing out door. What is the overall height of the awning top.
Thx! The awning height is dictated by whatever you attach it to and how high you raise the poles. It's really the screen room that would be your limiting factor. The walls are about 6.5-7' tall. Go any higher than that and you'll make a taco out of the floor. Mmmmm.... tacos.

i have a 2006 GX470 with 231,000. paid $13,777 2 years ago. then $3800 on mini engine overhaul , $1500 on Suspension, $800 on all fluids and brakes (rotors, calibers/pads) & Iridium plugs. love it. 400 pounds lighter than a GX460. Fast 7.2 sec to 60 fabulous 240 watt Mark Levinson. i drive 550/ mo so 16.6 mpg on 91 Octane is fine by me.

You've just saved me from my 6 months long headache of trying to find a system for my Ford Ranger Wildtrak X.... you won't believe how IMPOSSIBLE it is to find anyone that knows anything about Ford's Flexible Rack System, it has a cross bar system that can be deployed out or hidden away when there is no rooftop load, but this made the side rails much thicker than all other models of Rangers and as a result, rooftop accessories for owners of the Platinum or Wildtrak X models is literally zero, you'd either have to take off the factory rails or forgo thinking about using a platform system. The secret from your video is the Yakima lock n load clamps... they will fit nicely with the factory crossbars. Why can't these rooftop specialists just recommend this little nugget that could've solve all Ranger Platinum/Wildtrak X's headaches is beyond my comprehension. Thank you so much for showing the Build of materials screenshot, without it, Yakima themselves didn't even know what the heck i was talking about -_- Liked and subbed faster than my heart could beat!
