totally random, but i think for schooling fish it is REALLY important that you like how they swim. some are very chill (though not necessarily stationary) and others are spastic (which can feel stressful). i like fish that glide versus jerky darting motions. this is almost more important than a centerpiece fish or anything else.
My plakat betta Cosmo (RIP 💔) would not tolerate the ramshorn snail I had in with him. He knocked it off decorations twice that I saw, so I put it in another tank and left him in there alone.
How many days once we can change filter floss? I gues when it comes to spounge no need to change, but floss? Also i use small filters for my fish bowls as well.. even in this case need to do full water change?
Acually my ears very sensetive... ı have a filter but its so loudly ı want to change. İts 10 lt betta aquarium... Do you guys have any recommend for more silent filter? (ı hate bubles sound too :(
I have 2 nerite snail in a 10 gallon with my betta and he checked them out for like 5 seconds and has never looked at them since and that was 2 months ago
I actually have 4 Diptail Pencil fish in a 20 gallon aquarium right now, they share it with 3 marbled hatchetfish, 4 harlequin rasbora and 6 chili rasbora
So I got the Frozen brine shrimp and every time my mom puts it in my betta fish dives for it. It's so cool and he likes to get all the little bits well not all of them. Sometimes he might leave a bit behind but he likes to get the big chunks. Sometimes he spits it out so he can break it up into smaller pieces, but sometimes it's small enough that I can just swallow away all together! I do like how you mentioned the brine shrimp because that will tell others that it's a great thing so thank you for mentioning that!
Impulsively bought a golden algae eater today bc I have a good amount of growth. I didn't realize they grow to 11 inches. My tank is only a 29 gallon... idk what I'm gonna do tbh 😫
I have an aqua tech filter that ain't adjustable, I just shoved a glove in it and called it a day lol, then put a mushroom hammock under it to disrupt the flow further, I call it the red neck method lol.
My plant came with broken leaves in the mail, but it had good roots so I took the broken leaves off and put it in the fluorite gravel with a root tab and am hoping for the best. I think it’s going to be starting growing new leaves soon hopefully because the top of the root crown has little green bits growing out of it like buds or something.
Your red coral platies inspired me to get some myself, i love how hardy and peaceful they are and their red color looks so vibrant against the dark substrate and green lush plants!!! ❤
