I really don’t think lymantria or any early game mount really needs a TLC because that’s what they’re for…. Early game. Once you can move up to a better or bigger mount, they aren’t supposed to be as useful anymore, at least from a PVE perspective but that still plays a role into PVP as well
@@kalterglanz3632 Haha, Basi is so good for The Island caves and many other reasons, being as there's no hard caves on the Center in the water I decided i'd mix it up and pick the Tuso on this one, but honestly I do chose a Basi 80% of the time in general!
Ok so this might be an odd question but I notice in some scenes of your videos you have the water clear with no motion blur, would you share with me what you do to achieve that? The water in ASA because of the super wavy blur makes me extremely motion sick, way more than ASE! Ark is my favorite game but since I can’t do any of the water exploration now it’s made it pretty impossible for me to progress. I tried a clear water mod on curseforge (mod is broken) and admin commands (gets rid of blue fog but not the wavy blur which is what makes me sick). I play single player and non dedicated but if I need to rent a server to get a fix I will no problem. Thank you if you can help me, but if not no worries at all :)
Hi! Not an odd question at all! Tbh I don't think it's my settings on the Center, a lot of area in the ocean (only on the Center map) seem to have crystal clear water, when using the Fog command...usually i have to deal with the ugly blurry style too but I normally turn it off completely if i'm filming clips (unless it is around one of the clear areas in the ocean) try going to the deepest parts of the ocean on the right side of the map, and see what you think when you use the fog command, it's awesome XD
PVE single player here. If I could only have one tame, it would be the argentavis. And what's better than an argy? A squadron of four argies. Fly on a weight/stamina argy with three health/melee argies in a tame ordering group on follow for support. I'd give honourable mention to the moschops. Good early game gatherer of fiber, berries and chitin from trilobites etc... if lucky enough to find a low-level one that's just wanting tintoberries and not giant bee honey. Plus, it is potentially an early start to saving eggs for superior kibble latter on.
Haha oh yeah, me too! The Argy is ridiculously good, whenever I start a new playthrough the Argy is always the creature i look forward to taming the most :D Moschops is great too!
I want to see the Megalodon get a tlc like model rework and size too of course I really want the Megalodon be bigger though, I would love to see like it could jump out of water for getting the creatures are swimming in the water though
Was hoping someone would do a video on this! Caves are looking great tbh! I see what you mean about bee hives! That would have been the icing on the cake.
I think creature's venom effects need a buff. Taming with a venomous creature is FAR less effective than using a tranq dart/arrow. I also feel like any sufficiently high level tames are practically immune to the effects as it would take so many hits to knock out.
Thanks for the updated map locations! Heads up that anything down really low under all the waterfalls circle that is sand can’t be built on on official pve atm
No problem! Oh wow, I did hear that the DEVS acknowledged that the map is abit broken in that respect, lots of areas that should be buildable but aren't, said that they will be patching it asap! So let's hope it gets fixed when that happens, such a nice spot :D
Not gonna lie I had the Rex down instead of teh Dunkleo, had my voice recording done for it and everything but after discovering the amount of metal in the ocean I switched it out for the Dunkleo 🤣
Btw the Spinosaur is really OP on the Center. Not even that its crazy good in the Water like the Bary, it's also better for Boss Fights on this Map cause its filled with Water and they get there Buff 24/7 up
I was actually weighing up the options for a while of adding the Spino but tbh they are good but still not as good as the Baryonyx as a whole, better damage and speed is the only 2 things it beats the Bary at and even with the Hydrated buff, the boss arena being full of water, it still does nowhere near half the damage a Megatherium can do with the Insect killer buff, I love the Spino but after its Bipedal stance being broken since ASA it can't really compete with the Rex, Theri or Megatherium :(. I believe the Spino needs more of a buff to compete with its rivals!
I don't think there is via Obs due to none of them being close to water but i'm pretty certain you can transfer them via supply drops, there's a lot that will spawn in the water too on The Center!
@@BEYPlaysGames Do I have to go obelisk on a different map to retrieve them this way or supply drop as well? I think if I retrieve them from obelisk they will die
@@danielgerich Honestly I haven't transferred creatures in ages but i'll jump into my Nitrado server now and put a creature in it and see if i can take it out at another drop, if it works there it should work on official servers too
Spinos and xiphs are probably very versatile in this map as well both can go on land in water both can enter the center boss fight and both are awesome mounts
Spinos are good but still not as good as the Baryonyx as a whole, better damage and speed is the only 2 things it beats the Bary at and even with the Hydrated buff, the boss arena being full of water, it still does nowhere near half the damage a Megatherium can do with the Insect killer buff, I love the Spino but after its Bipedal stance being broken since ASA it can't really compete with the Rex, Theri or Megatherium :(. Xiphactinus is super strong especially in boss battles but for me they don't offer anything else and they are fugly, I can't bring myself to like them just for that fact 🤣
@@JadeValstraxGaming910 Broken in a bad way XD It's meant to be the stance with the better DPS, I believe it does do slightly more damage but it's so slow ever since ASA released that the quadrupedal bite attack is way quicker and has better DPS overall. It's a shame because the Bipedal stance was the go to stance for combat :(
"10 creatures you NEED to tame" "I'm not sure of their use, gets attacked by everything, does very low damage, has no aoe etc" I mean, am I missing something, or is the Shastasaurus literally pointless? It's just a big f**koff whale that doesn't fit anywhere and doesn't do anything. Doesn't even look particularly cool with the new saddle design, and it'll be constantly spitroasted by swarms of Xiphactinus. You could transport some tames across the water or something, but guess what? Cryopods exists. Hell, even rafts. Guess I can see an argument that you'd want to tame one for the novelty alone, but other than that, it looks fricken' grim, boys.
I honestly only put it on there because it is the exciting, new dino...I don't think I'll be using it myself at all, I would probably get more hate for not putting it on the list 🤣can't stand the fact that everything attacks them, that alone needs to be changed for anyone to want to use them!
@@BEYPlaysGames Fair dos, I mean, it's the "flagship creature" of the map after all, so you kinda have to have it. I imagine the being attacked thing must drive you up the wall though, with how MASSIVE they are and how you probably can't really do anything about some X-fish munching on your tail with it, other than swim around with an entourage of your own.
@@bajcli It's an absolute nightmare, the Shasta will definitely be very useful to take down to the deep with the Dunky to gather all of that metal, didn't actually test to see if an Indy forge would fit in it but it could be game changing if it does!
@@BEYPlaysGames If the Tek Replicator fits, then it should no problem because the indy forge is a good bit smaller (even heightwise). So yeah, that does sound insane. I just flew around a bit on the Centre in /leavemealone mode to check it out, and the amount of metal in the ocean is staggering. Gonna be placing my base next to water for sure when (if) WC manages to fix what last patch broke (DLSS/frame gen, frame drops after the Cera release, whatever's wrong with the Center, etc.) and I get around to playing the map, it's sounds way too convenient + I love swimming around anyway. Love the vids btw :)
@@bajcli That's what I was thinking! I guess it will be useful after all 🤣it does seem less clustered of spawns down there so no groups of Megs and Xiphactinus constantly attack it. Just bigger things but the spawns seem pretty spread out! Yeah I heard about the patch, it can't come soon enough!! Thanks mate!
Depends really, sometimes I find the artifact can instantly respawn and then other times it doesn't so I go out of render and it has usually respawned by that point :)
Xiphactinus are literally everywhere on this map, idk if gigatoraptors spawn here, sarcos are pretty good if you just want to get around, and spinos are good for their muscle in the boss arena
Yea those are both in my honourable mentions :D sadly Spinos still can't compete with the Rex, Theri or Megatherium for boss fights even with the Hydrated buff and the boss arena full of water, ever since the bipedal stance was made weaker in ASA it's been really difficult for me to compare the Spino to it's rivals,Spino needs a bit more off a buff TLC or stats to be improved sadly :(
I do love my Yuty’s and thyla’s and excited to tame all the floofy angry chickens and pouch lions! Do you recommend the tickle chicken in place of Rex for this maps boss fights?
Me too :D I always prefer the Theri due to the Veggie Cake healing option but yeah I initially had the Rex on the list, much easier to find and tame than the Theri and i'd be more than happy with either for the boss fight. But i did switch out the Rex for the Dunkleo instead cause that metal in the ocean was waaaay too good not to mention XD
Question did they reduce fall damage on the thyla? Because the ones I've tamed all take a crap load of damage when falling from a normal distance to the ground.
Tbh I was weighing up whether or not to put them on the list, was just outclassed by others do didn't add them and then totally forgot to add them to the honourable mentions at the end haha.
Also the Spino could be a good tame for this map because of the large amount of rivers across the land and the big quantities of water in general, also the boss arena has water so it could be a viable way to defeat the bosses
Spino is great yeah! Was weighing up the option of adding them to the list but personally the Baryonyx is far better for traversing and the others even with the hydrated buff still are better for the boss fight, honestly wish the Spino would get a buff or something! They are weaker in ASA too because their bipedal stance is slower than the ASE version of the Spino!
