The new Pocket 386 improves on the usability of this thing immensely. More of a laptop form-factor, still very tiny keys but not the squishy kind. Also can switch from widescreen to 4:3. Basically took the best parts of the Pocket 8088 and Hand 386 and merged them.

My memory of the Amstrad is that it was green graphics on a black screen. Not so? Rather white on black? As I'm working on a book in which the Amstrad screen gets a mention I'd be glad of confirmation, pretty please?
I remember that VESA-LB cards (particularly the original ET4000) could do VGA framebuffer access *far* faster than the PCI, and even most PCIe cards, that followed.
AMD completely abandon it ....least intel still supporting since raptor lake is good direction we are gonna , i hope opensource community get feedback on your work to forward intel that it might be good idea to have LPC slot in the future for older DOS games on modern os seems like good addon for intel users , its shame AMD ditch it when hardware midi boards was meant to be use on. Since modern MIDI boards gonna have place to lived on
I can imagine that Windows 10 is the last version to upgraded from all these previous versions of Windows because of Windows 11's TPM and SecureBoot requirements.
It's one of the dumbest inventions ever. All they did was remove some PCI-E lanes. A regular GPU could still work in that slot just fine even if it only had a single PCI-E lane.
I have an old metal press break that uses a 1985 DOS computer. It uses (needs) 2 ISA cards, DOS, VGA screen and keyboard. The computer is not working so good. How can I get a computer with 2 ISA card slots?
@TheRasteri I realize this was a PC oriented video, but a minor correction "Pipe Dream" was not created by Lucas, it was ported by Lucas. It was originally called "Pipe Mania" for the Amiga and created by The Assembly Line who did a number of amazing games.
