Yeah I loved my Nano from 2006. That was the best thing ever to me. Wish I still had it lol. I always wanted to get a full sized iPod eventually. The fact that we’ve all moved on from iPod and I never got one feels sort of sad to me lol.
0:28 I absolutely can't wait for Windows 11 LTSC to release so that I can use a Windows version without any of this bloat that Microsoft thinks consumers actually want
I hope someone realease laptop with snap x elite with 700$ price. Im no need top laptop with wifi 999 bluetooth 24830 and other things. Just normal screen 2 days of working, changable ssd, ram and GNU/Linux installation support.
I am planning on zhooshing up my Apple TV with a pair of Homepods (winks at wallet). Would love to replace my old Ipad Air with one of the new soon to be launched models as well… fingers crossed!
m1 macbook is the best laptop overall for what laptops main purpose is, being a full computer, portable light and with great battery. of course there are more powerful computers but they start loosing the real meaning of being a laptop and they start becoming workstation with heavy cooler big housing and crappy web cameras
As a user works with audio and basic video I have never heard my M1 MBP and it has never let me down with that being said although I currently use an iPhone and MacBook I am not an Apple fan boy but I remain objective. My next major upgrade will go to the most ground breaking tech but for now I will roll with Apple Silicon.
My 2013 MBP died so I’m running off a recycled Optiplex, but my wife’s computer is an M1 Pro MBP and that thing is absolutely STELLAR. I’d love to get one of the new laptops for myself.
CPU's are fast enough anyway. The issue is software bloat, and all the unnecessary data we need to process. Case and point, this Chrome tab by itself uses over 500MB of memory. That's a lot of data for a web page.
TSMC calling it a 3 nm process does not surprise me. It’s like people that go to the dragstrip and their car runs a 9.999. And then they tell people that they have a nine second car.
4:36 it's not freeaking "tunneling", it's known hardware issue with 1st gen airpods pro, which can appear later when you use it. Apple knows it and have (had?) replacement program for this issue but, obviously, never openly mentioned it. It makes nc and transparency mode basically useless and cannot be fixed. I had my airpods pro replaced twice and on my 3rd pair it appeared again. That's probably the main reason Apple came out with the 2nd gen, not the all other small gimmincs.
I work in tech retail and I’ve had middle aged people return brand new M3 macbook airs “because it’s heavier than the 2015 macbook i’m replacing it with.” M3 Airs are about 5-10x as fast (depending on if your’e looking at singlecore or multicore performance) as a 2015 intel macbook. I think a lot of people, who aren’t “power-users”, would be super happy with a computer that’s maybe… 3x as fast as their old one? That weights slightly less, supports current software (because of course apple prevents you from downloading its own native apps from their native appstore if your computer isn’t updated), and has a better screen. They could probably even charge the same for it. As Snazzy Labs says, for a casual user, the current Airs are way too similar to the Pros, and vice versa. They both seem to have the same target demographic of… video editors, with the base model M1 Pro and M2 Air offering similar performance at pretty much the same price, for the time they were both sold simultaneously.
For me, the performance I got on the M1 Air was so good, I got one to replace my Threadripper 2950 system. I later upgraded to the 24 Core M1 Max 16” MacBook Pro and the M3 hasn’t enticed me to upgrade. I’m looking for Apple to bring Thunderbolt/USB 5 along with an SD Express port, plus 2TB SSD and 64GB of RAM as the base for the MacBook Pro Max system. They charge a lot for fr those systems, they should come with more.
I love when no name people with a camera make videos saying the largest and richest corporations in the world are having problems and are doomed. Imagine being so full of yourself.
I never heard of Shuriken before, I'll have to try it on my G4 Quicksilver running Tiger OS X 10.4.11, you should add the download details to your video description. I believe your LCD display uses CCFL tubes, and can be replaced as they can on the 23 and 30 inch Cinema Displays from 2005.
History is bound to repeat itself and Apple will cringe with the M platform the same as they did with the power pc, it just going to take a bit of time until the other hardware companies and world is going to fully switch to the ARM platform.
not only that, if you play a long list of files with mpv in the command line and then you quit and run the command again will resume where you left off
I think to help combat some of those issues. Apple needs to focus again on the operating system. they need to reduce the footprint. The operating system uses so another words make it lighter while still keeping its functionality that’s the same problem. Windows has the footprint of Mac and windows is crazy. Reduce the footprint reap the rewards. It’s a simple as that.
Well, according to former Blizzard dev, you're required to buy a Mac, and pay their license key for $100 per year, and compile it in Xcode. If it fails, he gotta do it again. All that for 0.02% revenue.
Yeah, as someone who has repaired a fair number of personal Apple devices, the iPhone 4 will always be legendary to me for basically being designed with repair in mind. All you do is pop out the two screws at the bottom and the back slides off. Modern day Apple (or pretty much any smartphone company) could never.
Ok, Windows ARM is crap today, but what if the right competitor for Apple is not Windows but something like Chrome OS in steroids, with game compatibility, etc? Apple prices with no possible upgrade and no right to repair still a crime for me.
A 12" Macbook with M2 even M1 will be the perfect laptop for most. I am still using 2017 model (highest configuration) for daily tasks and never felt left alone.
What I think is very ugly about the 15-inch one is the tiny keyboard layout in the immensity of the aluminum body. It looks disproportionate. The pro versions at least have some speakers to disguise that.
First point is something that is miss construed frequently. Still has a point but the fovus on the instictions leads people to beleive limited instuction set cpus are just overall better cause their newer rather than the other ways x64 is passing x86. More detail if curious below. The "old" instuction sets and the micro ops they are used in don't contribute to the slowdown of x86, decoding instuctions is the primary bottleneck which is equally true to x64 cpus. Additionally some of the older/larger instuction sets that were removed in the conseption of arm cause an arm cpu to preform more micro ops to get to the same outcome. They are both stuck at the same point and archetectusl changes will be needed to alleviate the decoding bottleneck in all current high speed prossesers.
I'm still using a 2014 MacBook Pro, had zero interest in the braindead era of touchbars and butterfly keys that followed. I've briefly had access to M1 and M2 Macs through work and was blown away by the battery life, but couldn't afford to buy new. But based on this video, I might just look into a refurbished M1 when my current laptop stops working.
They've been coasting on the iphone for literally a quarter century. They got nothing. Anyone who was paying attention knew the company was over when Jobs died. You think you can just replace a visionary with random DEI? I don't think so.
