You must be vaxxed. If I were you, other’s ‘health’ problems, whether they be mental or physical are definitely the least of your concerns. All your affairs in order? Hi. Do you know what that black thing underneath the top lid is made of? The water seems like it will touch it. Kind regards from maybe a future buyer of this product 😄
That's the rubber seal, you need that to keep the steam in and the water will not touch this as it's out of the boiling area and is sandwiched between the two metal surfaces when the lid is closed.
Hi, good first phase cleaning, second phase would include removing the main jet (big brass) and idling ( behind black plastic plug), in my case half the holes were blocked on the main and the idle jet almost fully.
Thank you! With every day use I don't think you will get to many fingerprints on the main part of the kettle, I haven't seen any on mine as you will be just using the handle but it does come with a polishing cloth if you see any fingerprints.
I don't know how they have mounted it but it's not in the boiling chamber, you can see it's entirely empty. Wherever it is it doesn't come into contact with the boiling water.
A cheap Swan kettle from 10 years ago has the quality of an expensive kettle since manufacturers have continuously reduced the quality of materials over time. My cheap Swan kettle has no plastic at all in the boiling compartment, find me a cheap one these days with no plastic.
I think your review is fantastic, and it helped me to get my Aarke. I love the kettle and it checks all the boxes, except for one: it is a dreadful fingerprint magnet. It's a shame, because it's a beautiful object. I so wish they would make this kettle in brushed stainless steel. There needs to be a PSA for this.
Glad you found it helpful, thanks for your comments. I haven't found mine too bad, I wipe it every few days and it looks great but it does show the fingerprints for sure!
@@QXReviews For sure! Despite smudges (which I now avoid with a microfiber cloth trick - wrap it around my hand when closing the lid or handling it), it's the best kettle I've ever had. Hoping for future models in fingerprint-proof finishes! Thanks again for the detailed and helpful review!
Thanks for a soldi review of the Aarke water kettle. I have just ordered it after seeing review and I found it at reasonable price here In Norway . The best from the northern regions of Norway where they sun is back
I'm replacing the rubber seal for the float chamber. It is easy to clamp it down and for it not to be perfectly in situ. The groove has pinch points for it, but I'm finding it hard to pinch it in place. Any tips?
If it’s a genuine seal it should fit easily, you can always try a very thin layer of silicone on the seal which will help it stay in place while you screw it down.
Hi there, I just bought a 2021 used Yamaha 2.5 very little hours. Started it for first time today in a closed loop circuit (my bucket). Was very eager to run it and the only water I could get was from a hot water hose as the cold water supply was closed for the winter. I went through different rpms and ran it max rpms in neutral for probably 2-3 mins, water in bucket was very hot. Engine shut off and made a quick cranking sound. Couldn't get it to start again. Checked compression by putting my finger by the spark plug hole and didn't feel any compression. Put an inline spark plug tester and the tester blinks when I pull the coil. Could the hot water have damaged the outboard? Any next steps to diagnose what needs fixing? Thanks!
I am using these for a long time , I am on my 4th pair , sleeping every night with them. The battery last forever and recharge fairly fast. In summer its a little warm to sleep with and after a while and allot of use the speakercable start to break and you have a dead earphone....but they are cheap so I order a new one. I use mine daily.
I love the British slang, it's not a saddle man it's a seat. Nor is it a spanner it's called a wrench, but I'm sure you will disagree. But we can agree to disagree. Love the video though these old vintage scooters are great, I stick with Honda for the most part
Very well presented 👍. I used to do this maintenance every year however 3 years ago I just swapped to Shell V power petrol and found fouling is much reduced….
There's a little one way valve, under the main valve, preventing you from refilling the cartridge with butane gas. Remove the main valve (carfully with pliers), use a woodscrew (that fits) and pull out that bastard, re-seat the main valve - et voila! That little valve preventing refills in the cartridges is a prime example of "Asshole design".
