HP Instant Ink Review - Is it worth it?
Try HP Instant Ink For Free: try.hpinstantin...
in this video I review the HP Instant Ink service from Hewlett-Packard. With this service, you will never run out of ink again. Your printer monitors your ink levels and orders the cartridges directly from HP so that there are always ink cartridges waiting to be put into your printer. As soon as your ink levels get low again another set of ink cartridges arrives from HP. You get billed based on how many pages you print so you can pay as little as £2.99 per month for 50 pages per month, and if you don't use them all in one month they will roll over to the next so you could print up to 100 the following month. It's an easy and convenient way to print without the hassle of running out or having to dash to the store when you need to prink something in a hurry!
I am using this service with the HP Officejet 3833 printer but you can use the service with all modern HP printers.
If you would like to try this service for free click this link:

Hi ! I saw a hp printer on amazon for 57 € and there is another version with is 61 € as it has an instant ink card with a value of 5€. Is that card needed to activate the service or not as otherwise I will just buy the 57€ one. Also is it free for ever or do you have to pay after one year ? as I will be using it just for a few prints here and there for school. 2 last things : do you get all the colours with this program or is it just black ? And how do they know that I will only print 15 pages ? Do they send you recharges with very little ink and the more you pay the more ink there's in the recharge ? And is 15 prints just text or is it pictures or little things other things like that ? Sorry for long reply and thanks !

@@jean-lucblanc4605 You can use this with any new HP printer I believe, It knows how much you've used because it's connected to the internet and monitors your page usage and ink levels, it doesn't matter what you print, you can have 15 pages of text or 15 pages of A4 colour photos and it's still the same, on the other scale, if your page goes two lines onto a new page then that's also counted a page so be aware of that.

I bought an ENVY printer after watching this and there is one thing to be aware of. You can upgrade/downgrade at anytime yourself. However, to go onto the Free Plan, you need to open a Support Case which takes time. You can only self-select the Free Plan on the very first time you set up Instant Ink. After that, you always have to contact HP Support. They don't make this clear and it is a pain to switch to the free plan afterwards.

Really helpful video! I have just purchased a brand new HP printer and was very worried I would get charged a lot of money without me knowing. This video has explained everything and how great this feature actually is for HP printers. and so affordable!! Thank you

Everyone's happy. HP has a guaranteed income coming in every month. You don't need to pay for cartridges ever again. Quite crafty really because you would only usually buy cartridges once or twice a year now HP has money coming in every month. If they (HP) get enough people signing up they could do well from this thank you. That's business. I was a bit dubious at first because I had never heard of it until I bought my new HP printer. This video convinced me to sign up.

I agree, they aren't doing it just to be nice but it's a useful scheme all round, less hassle and you get to avoid that moment when you really need to print something and there is no ink left! Glad I could be of help. :-)

Depending on how much you print and HOW you print (photos, documents or a mix of both) you can actually save a lot (especially when printing photos). Of course it's very individual, PLUS they also have a FREE 15 pages a month plan. The latter is fantastic for people who just print a couple of times a month like me. Plus if I need to print more, which is extremely rare, I can afford to pay the minuscule amount for an extra 10-20 pages. With the free plan however, you do need to print once a week to keep the cartridges from drying out. So that's 4 pages spent, 11 left for whatever you need printing.

will give it a try, very good for the environment and you don't buy at the shop and just let it dry when you don't use it often. I use the library at the moment at 15 cents per laser copy for my printing needs. I will be using this more often as I am studying online for 8 mos. in Ireland.

Yep, that's the idea, it's worked well for me for the last 12 months. The ink turned up well before it got low in the printer and so was on hand when I needed to replace it. No rushing out to the store because I left it too late!

I can print 15 pages for absolutely nothing. I dont print over 3 pages unless I have to per month, using non instant ink. So on paper it makes total sense to me. I just have to remember to print a report page once per week in order to keep the cartridges from drying out. Of course if you switch to a paid plan, you will never get the free one back. So dont do that lol.

I don’t print much but my ink last almost a year years ago.. did they start selling less ink in printers where people would be happy to be charged for pages printed? Especially when I’m buying every page as well.. seems like I should be able to print as much as I want with my paper and just pay a subscription to give cheaper ink. I must be missing it. Is this a better option if you print a lot and not for those that rarely print? Great review

With this service, you can get up to 15 pages per month free so I imagine that would be fine for you by the sounds of it, so you would be getting free ink which can't really get any cheaper.

You would pay £1 for every 15 pages you go over. They are pretty good at letting you know when you are close to your limit so it's unlikely you would go over my mistake.

And if you decide you do not want to be on this program anymore, this instant ink cartridges that you have installed will NOT work. You have to go out and buy regular ones. WOW! They got you.
@GeneralJameson

I see no issue with that. They sent you the cartridges FREE as part of a program and if you no longer want to be part of the program you no longer get to use them, pretty simple really.
@sherasaadi3800

I have a question. Let's say that I'm subscribed to the 50 pages for 2,99€ a month. If I don't print all the 50 pages, and its still ink remained in the cartridge, do they charge you the next month too? Or you only pay the 2,99€ when the printer detects that you are running out from ink?
@QXReviews
@QXReviews 4 года назад
You don't pay for ink, its unlimited, you can use as much ink as you like, you pay for 50 pages each month, if you don't use all 50 pages the remainder will roll over to the next month so you have another 50 plus what was left over up to a whole 50 more, so you can have a maximum of 100 pages rolled over at any one time. If you use them all up in the same month you just get charged another 2.99 euro. I've never been charged more because I always have a few left over and now I have the full 100 pages and I'll never print more than that.

Does «the rollover-thing» work on the free plan also? Example: If you only print 5 pages one month, do the remaining 10 pages roll over to the next month, so you can print a total of 25 pages for free next month?

You aren't paying for the ink, you're paying for the number of pages printed per month (much like a mobile phone data plan). If you don't use up your monthly page allowance, the pages roll over to the next month, depending on the package you subscribe to.
