This is my third time rebuilding the 420 engine and for some reason this third time the clutch cover will not slide all the way on..? I know everything is in place I’ve checked multiples times rewatched this video but it is still getting caught on the clutches, anybody have this problem or have a suggestion? Great video btw

So I was riding my 2013 Honda 420 es around right after I put a brand new electric shifter on it and i think it over heated and shut off and wouldn’t shift anymore also couldn’t crank in gear unlike usual plus my radiator started smoking

On my 2008 Honda Rancher when I was running it hard on hot days, it would go into derate mode and I would have to shift all the way down to 1st gear to drive it. In the evening when it was cool it would have all the power in the world again. Turns out the fuel pump was getting weak. Installed a new $135 fuel pump and it has ran great for years now!
So I got a question I don’t all that to my foreman pretty much identical same block couple little things different and it’s very hard to shift and when you shift up it still doesn’t disengage the clutch it just keeps pulling
I believe I've purchased an 07 TRX 420 SE with a bad one way bearing, starter gear or clutch. Starter spinning strong but doesn't seem to engage the flywheel to turn over the ignition system. Ran strong first couple of days. Decided to clean up the machine to better understand it's condition. Previous owner didn't manage the machine well. 2500 hrs. Everything seems original factory. So I changed the oil and filter. Ran machine maybe another hour and here I am. Would you have any footage on this task. I watched your 4 part vid on the 420 rebuild. Greaful for that find.
I notice a step where your video varies from the manual , when installing the last friction disc on the shift clutch the manual states that it goes in the shallow slot not the long one as the other friction plates do. don,t know what this would do ????
I noticed that too I just got the clutch basket all together with all the disc's in the same slot. I'm going to take it back apart and put it the original way
