this was very help full, our bolts were coming out on secondary clutch and cutting into the case, bent the bolts , we just replaced the bolts and used a little lock tight to keep this from happening agin

thanks for the video you just saved my butt...my clutch plates were rattling around loose after a total rebuild as i didnt have that outer seated as you mentioned..machine wouldnt move in gear...thanks

Yes you can definitely do the front cover with the engine in the four wheeler

Upon putting the clutch basket together , does the last fiber plate go into the smaller square tab or does it follow suit with all the others?

I notice a step where your video varies from the manual , when installing the last friction disc on the shift clutch the manual states that it goes in the shallow slot not the long one as the other friction plates do. don,t know what this would do ????

So I got a question I don’t all that to my foreman pretty much identical same block couple little things different and it’s very hard to shift and when you shift up it still doesn’t disengage the clutch it just keeps pulling

any way you could specify which way the cyntrifical clutch is supposed to spin? my outter drum will spin counter clockwise and lock clockwise. I'm assuming one way bearing is in backwards. it will not idle in gear and it takes off as soon as started up

Quick question. I rebuilt the motor in a Honda rancher 420. I got it all back together. It started and ran but the reverse light pops between 2nd and 3rd. The neutral light pops between 3rd and 4th. Any help on why this happened

we have a 450 foreman, gear shift plate broke in half. we took off front cover removed clutchs replaced plate put everything back together. bike shifts now but when you give it the gas it doesn't move! what could we have done wrong or could there be something else broken????? 2002 Honda 450 foeman manuel shift.

yes this halps BUT a 2007 shifting is different

Video wasn't very helpful to my problem because I need to know how to do the valve timing. I had to replace the piston rings on my 07 honda rancher 420, I got it all back together and now it has a knocking noise from the rods and I have no idea on how to get the timing right. If there is any way you can help me that would be great

i have to replace my front cover and only the front cover how hard would it be to do that would i have to take the hole motor off or could i do it with it on the four wheeler

I just got done rebuilding a 99 450 Foreman, which has a very similar engine. But now, when the transmission is in neutral, the output shaft spins...I don't think that should be the case. I had my uncle who used to work for Honda check it out and he's at a loss too, everything checked out. Any ideas? Thanks in advance.
