Your beauty journey doesn’t end at a certain age. I am a 69 year-old woman who has been making videos on RU-vid over 10 years. It's been a great journey and I've loved it. I am a wife, mother and grandmother. I love talking about skincare (especially Retin A and Obagi) and makeup. Thank you for watching my videos! I am so very grateful. 🧡🧡❤️❤️❤️
Hi Melissa! Always enjoy your videos. What is the color and brand of your finger nail polish????? Such a pretty color on you. Thanks for sharing! Take good care! Look forward to your future videos!
You are SO RIGHT . YES i am 64 no husband ,no children ,it happened like that ...not happy about it but... I always been kind of wild ...but today i am ALONE LIVING AND TAKING CARE OF MY MOTHER ....FINE . All what you saying is the THRUTH....I MISS PEOPLE AND PASSIONS ,CONVERSATIONS ETC... BLESS YOU
This is sooooo true as we get older. I’m 68 and work full time because it gets me out, other folks to talk to. I recently connected with a wonderful church Sooo grateful to God for them all.
Hi Melissa, all my life, when I hear Church, I was running away. Even today, I am 72, I feel only free and alive if no church or Jesus stuff is around me 😋. It is like you are a no smoker and you are always with smokers around. I can understand your feelings of needing community. But I had a friend who had always trouble with relations. And he told me he cannot be without a woman. I told him, if you cannot live without a woman, you can never really have a healthy relationship with a woman. And this still holds true. Not to show off, I am 20 years married with a very beautiful junger woman, and I always tell her, if you like another young men, please go ahead if both of you love each other, I do not hold you back 1 second. What is the most beautiful moment in life? if 2 people are in love together? But my wife is still old fashioned. She then looks angry at me and tells and reminds me: you promised when you married me, to stay forever! Yes, I I respond, I promised, and it is also no pain for me, it is joy nearly every day, but not if you feel unhappy 🤭. Of course challenges are part of live 👍✌️💜
❤ i am just a couple years younger, but realizing the same thing. Unlike you though i am completely lost and futilistic about how to make those relationships this late in life
Great job on the demonstrations. You did a fantastic job explaining it all. It makes complete sense, so smart! I adore you and love your channel. Thank you, cheers! 😘🤗👍🏻💯♥️😁
Beware of yoga, it’s not just stretching. Whether you mean to or not it’s worshipping of false gods. Doreen virtue has some great videos explaining the dangers of yoga. I quit yoga when I left my well-meaning new agey spiritual path & accepted Jesus as my Lord & Savior.
hi Melissa , I wanted to tell you because of you. You have given me such inspiration at my age you say you’re 69 or 79 and I just got my new Omni lux and I’m ordering written. I used to use it long time ago but I got depressed and quit, you’ve given me new life
Love this video. I am learning to be more intentionally social. Going to work and church (for me) just ain’t enough.. especially because I go to a large church.
Good for you. You don’t necessarily need a church, you need to be more involved with others period. It’s a start. That can happen through many outlets. Glad to hear you’re getting out of your rut, keep expanding….. 👏🏻😄
Hi Melissa scarves and jewellery are a wonderful way to make clothing work for us in whatever shade. I’m truly cool toned with ashy blonde hair, grey eyes and ultra pale pinky white skin, yet I still wear khaki, burgundy and some rust shades. The trick is to pair them with taupes, mushrooms, teals and navy blue. The contrast makes them work far better for me. Wearing the more muted greyed out shades nearer the face or a flattering scarf/jewellery makes a huge difference eg amber and silver jewellery with a rust coloured top- that silver in the jewellery makes it a bit cooler and more flattering on me. A pop of a warmer eyeshadow in a predominantly taupe or grey look is also nice. A multi coloured scarf within your colour palette paired with the army green/khaki looks great etc. A lot of the tweeds and herringbone for Autumn/Fall are more of a mushroom colour or greyish and look great on cool toned people. Purple and teal are great colours for this time of year and tie in really well with the tweeds and leather we are seeing too. There are lots of ways to make any colour work for us and “rules” are always made to be broken 😂. Maybe I’m still that rebellious rock chick biker inside 😂, but I always hated being told what I should wear so I make things work. It can be trial and error initially, but as you get used to it then it’s much easier to see how something works for each of us. Best wishes x
Thank you, Melissa. I don’t always comment- as I know you get so many - but I’ve watched you since I first started watching RU-vid and then since I started my channel. You have always inspired me. I just want to say, I’ve always prayed for you and I appreciate that you are vulnerable and honest so that we all can benefit. This is true for so many of us. Being isolated and alone is hard. God Bless you always.
I understood it! You can use makeup colors to pull warm or cool tones, and your clothing is the same. I have cool tones skin but I have warm red highlights. I use makeup to balance it all out. 😍
What an important topic and video to post - thank you! By the way, this affects a lot of people at different stages, not just as you get older. Life and work keep you busy and you don't really notice that your "network" is slowly fading away. Once you leave your twenties, the friendship circles change, in different directions, for a lot of people. You have to make an effort to try and create some kind of new community or network, even something small, while you are able to or if you notice that is missing and are looking for it. Melissa, you look SO lovely in this video, so glad your health is better, but more than anything keeping up important topics like this one!
