I just love the path you chose : purposely deciding to share your top competitor knowledge to ordinary people. You can't even imagine all the benefits I did get from your channel
Thank you so much. I am a huge fan of Murilo and recently bought his bjj fanatics dvd. It helped me to understand his game a lot better. Yet when I watch his competition footage the us so much I miss. Thanks to your video I learned how to deal with the double butterfly and how he goes for the over over. Also this half guard prevention hook was so sneaky. Thanks for the great work. Do you know how he deals with the half butterfly?
They don't allow me to like more than once so I've watched this breakdown of yours at least 3 times... Love your breakdowns bro. With my advancement in Jiu Jitsu, I have walked away with a much greater underatanding from your videos every time I rewatch them. Thanks.
Hello thank you for that. Do you feel guard retention is nostly general principles like you mention here, or, specific ways to guard retain against specific passes? Or maybe both? How can we get the best value without training everyday guard retention like crazy :P ?
I just found your channel because of your van video (not many van/jiu jitsu vids out there!). I've been very impressed with your content, but now I have to: 1. Learn the Seagull Sweep 2. Binge-watch your RU-vid videos (probably not in that order)
Hey Darin, white belt 3 stripe here. Im thinking of starting to record my rolls to improve. Who did you get to record yours? (lower belt perhaps?) did you pay them? would you recommend a tripod? do you think I shouldnt record rolls till im at a higher belt for respect for gym etc.? Thanks for the video. Love perception of thinking critical in guard and instinctually aggressively defending once passed (turtle to escape/recover).
Just love it man! I had some dickhead put me in the lasso guard for an entire round the other day and just couldn't figure out a way to escape. This is a real game changer hahaha
