I really appreciated your honesty in telling your viewers where you got the idea from. I think we should all do the same for those who are the original creators of products that work.

I probably wouldn't charge more than $50-75.00. Most of that is just my time.

Dear SP Builders; I heard you say gasifier. Do some research on it when you got a minute. Check this out. The hottest part of a fire is it center. All the unburned parts that makes up smoke are heavier and want to fall back down and get sucked up at the same time. So basically the fire has a smoke ring around itself in the barrel and it will smoke. The game changer is the holes you put into the inter barrel that suck O2 from the outside air between the barrels layers. The smoke is like acetylene gas and the holes are the O2. We both know how that works. So less cover your burner with and upside down funnel exhaust to make it last longer. /|\ Like this but chimney must be higher. Just a little shed. I hope this helps.

That grain is cracking- gonna contradict myself here but you could cut some diamond shaped texture into the top, for grip

That's great work, inspired me. 2 questions- If using screws instead of welding is there a particular type you'd recommend? (as in stainless or what) and also do you think you could dry-stack stone around it when in situ or would that affect airflow?

Nice job! ✨ I just got done w day 3 of cleaning/polishing my Record 405… taking long since I’m doing it by hand with a small brass brush and Mothers polish… brushing every nook n cranny, every single screw and thread, rod holes, etc. Day 4-5 will be with a high speed drill and buff wheel for final polish.

Hot stuff! Haha Of course pine burns pretty fast and the chimney effect of your design will make it burn even faster. Apart from burning hardwood for a lasting burn you could try to regulate the air in to the bottom of the barrel by lowering it closer to the ground. Ideally this would be adjustable maybe on the next build. Thanks for sharing.

Hi Nice and Simple build. I am building something similar for my router table and trying to figure out the height. I can't find the plans using your link anymore. Is your table height 27 inches including the casters or without them? Thanks for your help.
