In my area, if you parked that old truck in your front driveway, you would have a crowd of older men, lining up to offer to buy it. My neighbor has the Chevrolet equivalent, and he literally had to put a tarp over it and hide it behind the house.
People wanna whine and cry and bitch about stuff so dang much. If you dont like EV'S just dont buy one. Simple as that. Gas cars arent going anywhere anytime soon. I still drive a 30 year old miata. Dont plan on getting rid of it anytime soon.
I had one 351 m motor borg Warner t18 4 speed low 1st gear and reverse had to double clutch it Dana front and rear ends holley 750 carb. Used it to plow , recovering stuck vehicles and to tow my workout. I could burn rubber in all 4 gears .
And if you think about it, under Biden, he’s just continuing Obama’s BS by trying to force us to buy electric cars. Pushing shit like no right to repair ect. Never comply!
A buddy of mine worked at Toyota during that campaign and he said that the 300 straight 6 would last the longest. The block would get cherry red and still be running while the rest of the engines would just seize up right away. The 300 straight 6 was a hell of an engine
Bro flexing on eating dominos pizza.. bro I'd rather pay full price on a decent pizza than having a coupon to eat domino's. Eat directly from the bin, same taste but free
I scrapped my 1980 years ago was so rusted out, but I pulled out the inline 6, it's sitting in my garage with only 80,000 original miles on it I just couldn't send that engine to the scrapyard. One of if not the best engine ever made.
Yep. I hate to be reminded of it. We lost SO MANY good cars (and parts). One of the reasons everything is hard to find. 3rd gens, Fox bodies, other cool stuff...
I 😂worked as a detailer for a used car lot during the cash for clunkers and they resold all the cars we got on trade even a Toyota pickup with a blown head gasket got sold it was towed to the dealer and sold and towed back to a new home not every car lot is the same I worked for the smart car lots and I saved an 1986 Chevy Silverado 4x4 3/4 k20 4x4 350 for 1200$ traded 2 paychecks for the truck and drove it for 5 years no issues and I even let my friend borrow it for a month some people don’t know what they got and old cars are the best cars the new ones are all plastic and computers it’s sad my childhood was better riding in cars from the 70s in the 90s
in general i think trucks require about 1" exhaust pipe per 100 HP Assuming yours is still under or around 200hp SO dual 2 inch is good for 400HP, lol SO realistically you could /should run your 2 collectors into a 2 in 1 exit of about 2 or 2.25 output size maybe this is why so many inline 300 are dogs, they sacrificed alot of area under TQ curve for some tiny upper Hp gains
Most of the time they were drilled to make room for the rust proofed to put a long wand inside to spray used oil or rust proofing solution throughout the inside of the panel. It helped to prevent or slow down rust.
I actually went online and purchased one with their “brick nose era” slogan “the best never rest” solely to install on my 91 since it also matches my dealer installed floor mats with the same slogan
That program killed off so many wonderful vehicles.... Now, we are stuck with all this computerized crap, that is made of tin foil, tons of plastic, and glue/tape/styrofoam....and many mechanics in my area don't know how to work on alot of them. Cash for Clunkers, I think, was a way to rid of dependability, and make us have to buy new, crap vehicles! 😫
We have a '96 F250 that's had a number of "health issues" keeping "him" off the road for nearly 10+ years now. The repairs are constantly "next" on the to-do list, and unfortunstely it's coming up on 10 years. You know what one of our wedding gifts were?? A "new" truck hood we installed all together..... nearly 9 years ago 😢 It needs 2 new fuel lines, both gas tanks (bought & started to install 10 years ago), a new (something) plug that's under the engine (it regulatesheat, I think????), a new battery, and a new driver's side mirror as far as I know, possibly more
Hey I got the same offenhouser intake manifold and I’m running a 390 cfm Holley carb and get about 6 mpg just wondering what carb you run and if you know a way I could get a little better fuel mileage thanks.
