I'll admit i see the communication breakdown between both the son and father but the fact the father doesn't even want to hear the son's thoughts or perspective on the matter is extremely disrespectful. I know exactly how this feels. Being totally unheard, being totally ignored but expected to listen to everyone else even though what you have to say can change the situation or bring different information.

He is really mean with how he talks, but there are points where it seems like he wants to get a point across to you and you interrupt and start screaming at him I can understand his frustration and i can see what your issue with him is
Wow, listening to this is as if both my parents have suddenly been raised from the dead and are back to resume controlling, manipulating, shaming, guilting, threatening, and all the other toxic stuff that they offered free of charge. I’ve never known such ✌️ PEACE ☮️ in my life now that they are both gone.
The trick is to shut down, stop speaking all together and leave the room or house ..it drives them crazy when they can't get any kind of response from you
The kid constantly rudely interrupts. He doesn’t even listen let alone let the talker finish a sentence. The kid is losing his cool right of the back. He needs better communication skills. It seems like he is trying to set his dad up. I am a survivor of childhood and into adulthood narcissistic/psychopathic abuse.
the son does seem to be going through a manic state given the comments about going to japan one day, going to oregon the next day etc. but the father doesnt seem sympathetic

Ok, the kid is a drug addict? Now I know whose side I’m on. This kid is a freaking mess. The parents absolutely not to blame. Have you ever dealt with drug addicted children? They’re a nightmare!
This is not the father. The title does not dictate the truth. The son persistently tried to knock the conversation off track. He was having a hard time with his daily duties at work. His father was trying to get him back on track but to no avail.

My mother just had my car fixed but she said she would only do it if the price was right so I said ok. I didn't know how much it was going to cost and I wasn't there when she got it fixed. She had another option to have her friend fix it but he was taking a long time. Anyway, she fixed it and then told me how much the bill was like she was upset, and then told me to call her friend that i DON'T LIKE AND SHE KNOWS THAT and tell him he didn't have to come fix the car.... Just madness! If they have any attachment of anything they do for you, they are always going to turn it into some bs and try to shame you for it. I hate that I was born to this psycho women!!!!!

This sound like my husband this is the favorite thing he likes to do to me he say “I won’t even listen. “ I’m standing here listening to him . I haven’t said a word !! He say I’m irrupt him !! I get accused of interrupting him I’m not interrupting him at all, but he interrupts me when I’m speaking to him
At this age it’s very very hard not to get this way. I know all too well. People need to realize when you are kids growing up in a toxic household where there’s yelling from a mother who is codependent to a manipulative narcissist father… and when the kids are subjected to this bs their whole lives, they engage in the only way know how to engage. This son does sound like he is a codependent with lots of vulnerable narcissistic traits.
