This video shows the amazing amount of confusion created and false realities materialized by the bipolar parent with manipulative abuse tendencies. Take notice of the repetitive phrases: "quiet down," "Sit down," "Listen," "Stop talking." They are seemingly insignificant and presented to prepare the confused son for the upcoming "insightful fatherly advice."
These deceptive and disarming phrases will lead to anything but. Manipulatively Abusive parents become aroused by this verbal control, no differently than physically or sexually abusive ones. Manipulative Abusers are typically very small in stature. Research is suggesting they choose to abuse their victims this way because they lack the physical strength needed to abuse their children physically or sexually.
An otherwise hard-working adult man and yet damn near succeeds and convincing this young man that he had done something wrong and that his partner was upset. The disturbing reality is nothing could be farther from the truth.

i only acknowledged how abusive my mothers behaviour was when my dad died and i call her out immediately when she is inappropriate or i refuse to engage with her - but she will never snap out of her delusion unless an external neutral party calls her out on it. and currently there is zero justice or protection against this kids of behaviour .. and the reason kids are trapped with abusive parents is because these parents damage your attention span, your self belief and the economic system makes basic independence so hard that your self belief and motivation has slow results that makes a person who can reason .. like this guy said.. Living with these kinda people it’s very hard to express your feelings with them because they’re never wrong. I’ve dealt with this my whole life it’s always been hard for me to express my feelings in most situations which causes people to walk all over me. My mother has been physically and mentally abusing since I was a kid , when I was 15 she said " i wish i killed you when you were in my womb " . That line scarred me for life . She never loved me unconditionally , yes. Never . My whole life till today was like rapunzel's story . I'm 20 now, she still physically and mentally abuses me if I don't do it her way . And if I still don't listen to her , then both of my parents abuse me together, but just like rapunzel's story , I would break free and spread love to everyone I come in contact with . Pain , but I won't let it turn into hate . This soul of mine will never break. 🤙🏼

mine said something sort of like that but remember just thinking .. "er.. do i feel that?.. do i care what she wishes? she's so stupid" and then forgetting it. but by forgetting it - no one believes you if you dont address it .. and society has this really horrific tendency to say "she didnt mean it".. when they should say "your parent isn't fit to be a parent"

You are not alone. My father died 2 years ago, and was mean to his children his entire life. He knew how to charm others but treated his own like garbage. Hope you find healing away from him. Demeaning, belittling..not what a father of any age should ever be. You can find family that is not blood-related. It's better for you. I am so sorry.

It wasn't until posting this video and my father and myself seeing it that the issue was addressed. Either ashamed or enlightened himself, our relationship has only improved since. His father was the same way and yet he had never changed despite constantly mentioning this fact. I'm grateful he is working hard to now.

My mother caused 7 children mental problems. She is 80 and God knows i have tried to spend time with her , she tried to put her misery in me , I said look i cannot fight or get depressed . I left and will not be fooled again. My brother drank himself to death , two sisters drinking , one drank herself to death . We are all not educated , going from home to home , scared of her , and the monster is still trying kill me.

My mom is insane. She will always pretend she didn’t just do something wrong, and she’ll call me a monster and a know it all for pointing it out. She bring up things I have done wrong when they have nothing to do with the conversation. Just today, we were having an arg7,ent and when it’d go quiet or basically end she’d come back for more and I’d point it out and she’d go apeshit. She kept saying it wasn’t and argument but it clearly is. She also denied she was yelling and it’s like, THEN WHAT ARE YOU LITERALLY DOING RN. Whenever I bring up a logical defense she’ll just tell me to shut up…it’s nit like I’m getting horrible abused but I just hate people who can’t admit they are wrong.. I’m going to start recording her too now. You are not alone!

I‘ve been dealing with this for a long time right now and it doesn‘t stop. Every day there‘s something that pops up in his head to torture me mentally and emotionally and every day I‘m trying to stand strong for my mother and sibling because I‘m the oldest. It got really bad when I turned 18, I‘m 22 now and it‘s getting worse. I‘m trying to get out of it and to become independed by starting a business but there are some days when I just want to die, because I go from thinking straight to a complete mess and it eats me up inside and keeps me up at night by me just going back and forth in my head and ending up just raging, streaming in my pillow or hit something. The only reason I‘m not trying to kill myself is, if I do this, I‘m letting my mother alone with this narcissistic, manipulative, abusive son of a b****. I‘m writing this here because I feel this video so much, because I feel like it and I hope if somebody can answer me or give me some advise not to completly lose my mind. Thank you 🙏🏻

My Mother drag me to court and had me labeled as a crazy person. I been taking care of her and everything was never good enough for her and takes my Sister and her Husband to a good restaurant while she treats me like Second class . I personally believe that i am worthless and have break down and cry . I want to go into a group home or a Nursing Home . I know how you feel as far as the crazy person labeling my mom has been taking me through munchausen by proxy since I moved in with her the first time summer of 2016 at age 10 but especially the second at age 12 time 14+ false diagnoses all but 1 were within a year.That shouldn't be possible so I get video evidence everyday I have some going all the way back to 2014 when I was 8 before moving in with her.

At this age it’s very very hard not to get this way. I know all too well. People need to realize when you are kids growing up in a toxic household where there’s yelling from a mother who is codependent to a manipulative narcissist father… and when the kids are subjected to this bs their whole lives, they engage in the only way know how to engage. I'll admit i see the communication breakdown between both the son and father but the fact the father doesn't even want to hear the son's thoughts or perspective on the matter is extremely disrespectful. The issue I see here is the Dad keeps saying “YOU” such as “You said” and “you’re argumentative” and “You won’t listen” I believe once we get into “YOU” territory it’s hard to have a civil conversation as it triggers the defense mechanism. A better approach is “I don’t think I’m being heard clearly” or “I value our relationship and let’s work together and brainstorm how WE can move forward in this situation”

My mother just had my car fixed but she said she would only do it if the price was right so I said ok. I didn't know how much it was going to cost and I wasn't there when she got it fixed. She had another option to have her friend fix it but he was taking a long time. Anyway, she fixed it and then told me how much the bill was like she was upset, and then told me to call her friend that i DON'T LIKE AND SHE KNOWS THAT and tell him he didn't have to come fix the car.... Just madness! If they have any attachment of anything they do for you, they are always going to turn it into some bs and try to shame you for it. I hate that I was born to this psycho women!!!!!

sure, but the father clearly is lacking compassion for his son. for example; the son tries to explain that he has been having a rough time and that he is having thoughts of self harm, and the father simply doesn't try to help him and just moves on like it didn't even happen.

This is not the father. The title does not dictate the truth. The son persistently tried to knock the conversation off track. He was having a hard time with his daily duties at work. His father was trying to get him back on track but to no avail.

The kid constantly rudely interrupts. He doesn’t even listen let alone let the talker finish a sentence. The kid is losing his cool right of the back. He needs better communication skills. The child of today has a serious disdain for authority. My statement to you is, emancipate and go about your life. Do you have the necessary survival skills to function as an adult in today’s world? If the answer is yes, then it’s time for you to leave. If the answer is no, you need to shut up, listen to your parents while you save your money and when your maturity and your money meet, it will be time to leave. This dad is trying to be calm and the kid is escalating. The dad is also trying to offer help. If the kid doesn't want the help offered, the next thing to do is let him handle it on his own. After the "I wanted to kill myself" comment, I would have called a crisis intervention and had him evaluated for potential self harm.

I think the dad understood the kid is filming and i think that's why he's so calm down. I think this video is the kid crying for help. I live in a household like this and the kid sounds like he's so fed up from his dad manipulations and yeah maybe his dad doesn't sound horrible in the video but you can hear how upset is the son. You can realize something is going on in there.

the dad isnt even acknowledging what is being said. If you dont notice this - you might have trouble perceiving language content and social cues yourself . Also it's pretty disingenuous pretending to care about the son getting harmed if you dont even consider what he is saying about why the dads behaviour makes him feel suicidal. why don't you care? do you think the child is lying ? how do you know? All you've done is labelled the child as broken because you cant be bothered to hold the parent accoutnable for anything, - do you think the parent doesn't have a legal duty to care how the child feels? because he is mentally ill? do you think a murderer doesn't face accountability if they are mentally ill? parents are not some fragile vulnerable protected class of person - their children who are under their legal control while their brains are developing ARE .the dads emotionally beligerent behaviour is completely inappropriate for a parent.. this video demonstrates emotional abuse - which is classed as domestic abuse. why isn't the dad responding and adapting his behaviour?.. what standard does that dad think he is meeting that makes him think he is so right? even he probably doesn't know if he is psychotic. this son needs support to get away from this environment
