Hey all, welcome to the place! Let me show you somethin' cool 😎
On The54Car you'll find a LOT of videos about NASCAR and NASCAR games (plus whatever else catches my eye).
I'm a specialist in video essays, but my regular gameplay videos are getting better too nowadays. Come hang out a while, have some laughs! Just enjoy the moment y'know?
For me the craziest thing about Johnson’s success is how many key parts stayed the same from his rookie season through his final win: Hendrick Motorsports, 48, Lowe’s, Chevrolet, and Chad Knaus. The other interesting thing is the contrast of just how much the sport changed over the same amount of time. From the traditional race format and full season championships with the triple digit points format in the generation 4 car, through the early Chase format with the smaller numbered points system and various shapes of the Car of Tomorrow, to Stage Racing and the playoff format in the Generation 6 car.
My favorite glitch is in Nascar Inside Line for the Wii. It requires an insanely precise setup but if you do it right the game will launch your car to the moon. You have to race as Clint Bowyer at Bristol with cautions off and full damage on. You then have to get spun by one of the ai cars (it won't work if you spin yourself) and while spinning slide into the entrance to the backstretch pit road. If you do it right the game will glitch and launch your car to the moon before DNFing you. Fun little thing to try to activate whenever you're bored!
I very rarely race by myself and even when I do I always race as Kahne (my dad is the one who races as Bowyer) so idk if this glitch works on singleplayer or if it has to be on multiplayer. I can tell you Kahne has a very different result. Rather than getting launched to the moon you get launched down the entire frontstretch
I'm so glad Motorsport Games lost their NASCAR, IndyCar, and TOCA licenses; they were such incompetent slimeballs. They blatantly lied about the reality of their situation and breached contractual agreements multiple times so they got what they deserved.
So in nascar 99 and 2000 on the n64 the replay mode is glitched, basically while youre racing you can pause the gsme and in the pause menu theres an option to go into a replay mode where you can rewatch the previous few seconds of the race, it seems to work fine most of the time, BUT, theres an edge case that can cause chaos 😂 if you can manage to get one of the AIs to fully stop you can actually get them to go in reverse, if you open the replay screen and scrub around in the timeline for a bit then unpause the game the stuck AI will fly down the track at like a million mph and for some reason they also take a massive amount amount of damage while doing so even though they literally just seem to either teleport or just go forward along the track really fast
YO NO WAY! Would you be offended at all if I showcased that in one of these episodes? I'd have to go out and buy the n64 version ive never played it lol
@@the54car no I wouldn't be offended 😛 If you want to get footage of it easily the easiest spot to replicate it is at the exit of the final corner at sears point, you just park your car diagonally across the track and the AIs are going so slowly there they'll usually stop for you then you can do it
Unfortunately because of how the games physics works what often winds up happening when you try to do this glitch is the glitched car just clips into you which causes you to go into a flipping animation which to the game counts as a wreck so as soon as you land the race ends even if you visually have no damage -_- it's very annoying and frankly I wish there was some patch to remove the part of the code that causes the race to end when flipping cause it doesn't make any sense to not be able to race anymore if you don't even have any actual damage
I had this one glitch happen in inside line couple of times so to make it happen you do the Mark martin Pocono challenge and wallride turn 1 Jimmie Johnson should jump your car
This makes me want to record a video of that hole in the geometry that lets you go out of bounds that I discovered in Dirt to Daytona when I was a kid. No idea if anyone else ever found it.
heeeey im getting better, ive uploaded twice in 2 months! 😅 good to see ya mate, i'll probably never be a regular streamer kind of guy but i still might do it here and there my heart is in the edits though ❤️
@@the54car lol bro thx i was actually looking forward to playing these games again just to do these my ps2 still works and burnout 3 fucking is the best game ever
All I'll say is I have a list of like... 25 more Chaos Bits already written up XD It ranges every generation of NASCAR games history and I'm pretty confident in this becoming a series, thanks for stoppin by man!
Well it is now 2024. Thanks for your video and opinions. I still like Nascar Racing 2003 by Papyrus and had great times online with the "FREE" Sierra Servers. I even did 3 private leagues for few years. Then IRacing came along in 2008 and those Servers closed down. I never did IRacing because of subscription fees. I do have NR2003 installed on my Windows 10 PC and still works OK. Have several tracks and mods to make the game interesting. We shall see if this new proposed Nascar PC game coming out in 2025 by IRacing and another group will be our next good Nascar game to have fun with since IRacing now has the licenses to do so. Time shall Tell.
Well it is now April 2024. The best Nascar game for me is still Nascar Racing 2003 by Papyrus. It was both a good offline and online racing game on the FREE Sierra Servers many years ago. The graphics are crude but the game play is awesome. I still have this game installed on my Windows 10 PC computer and works well. I am waiting to see what IRacing developers do with a new dedicated Nascar game for the PC coming in 2025. Will it be as good as Nascar Racing 2003, we shall see. I have bought a couple Nascar Heat games on STEAM, but they are terrible far as game play. I do not do IRacing Nascar online, I hate subscriptions. IRacing Nascar is taken from Nascar Racing 2003 and they are somewhat enhanced. Not sure though, never did IRacing.
I've never been a huge fan of Mario Kart, or kart racing games in general. I usually find them annoying. I do like NASCAR Rumble, BUT... I turn the powerups completely off. I'm weird, I don't care for realistic driving games, I prefer arcade racing, but I don't want the game to be too silly. To me, this game is the closest thing to a Burnout game on the PS1.
Tbh nascar inside line 2012 has the best paint scheme booth in a nascar game the crash physics were insane if you wreck someone the whole field goes with them sometimes mostly at short tracks and you could race exhibition races although I do get what mean ai brake checks when there going to pit road but I didn’t grow up with the ones before 09
NASCAR unleashed I played it it’s not bad it’s just weird for a nascar game nascar tracks turned into weird off road tracks but definitely my favorite nascar game is inside line lot of paint schemes but don’t cause a wreck at Bristol cause it will clog the whole field up
PApyrus games are still the best ones, so much so modders still make modern car and rule mods for the game. Hardcore nascar fans still playing those games.
The random fenceposts, ship wheel, and yellow block is amost certianly what is called a "dev cube," its basically an object that has a bunch of logic atrached to it and its placed somewhere thats easy to go in and access during development. They could make these objects transparent when they are done with the game but since they are usually placed under a map or in an out of bounds location a lot of devs end up not bothering to hide them.
I think career should have two sub modes: arcade and similation. Arcade is for the people who just wanna focus on making a name for themselves while exploring all the new mechanics of allies and rivals. Everything from teams to car upgrades will be handled on the backend. And then... Simulation. Same career, but now you have to handle the team management, car management, keeping an eye on free agents and talents to slot into your cars (Yes, CARS. As in a full 4 car team.) On top of managing your rivals and friends. The depth of f1, but with a bit more, as far as multiple car development works in NASCAR. Sponsors should be locked behind an image mechanic, along with performance as a team and driver, with a focus on making sure no matter how you play, as long as you focus on even one aspect of the career, a top sponsor will be interested, with a mastery of all three getting you the best offers.
Currently playing Heat 4. I also hate the wiggle during turns. I would love to see a NASCAR game that spans multiple generations of the sport, because I want to go back and stop Dale from dumping Terry at Bristol in ‘95 and then stop him from hitting the wall in ‘01. I miss old NASCAR.
Eventually, vintage cars and tracks would be really cool. Even an Eras mode like NBA2K has where you could start a carreer in the 2000’s, 90’s, 80’s etc. With games like F1 this would be unfeasible but in Nascar where you usualy only have 3-4 different car models at once that run for multiple years, I could see this.
I had no clue that was in a Tony Hawk game at all actually 😂 That section of the video uses a lot of music from Thunder 2004... and yeah they're all goated songs 🤣
