NASCAR 98: An Emotional Struggle 

All I could think looking at these graphics is "damn, they made NASCAR on the ps1 all the way through 2003 and it looked the exact same"

This is the first game I played when I got my PS1. I loved the paintball mode.

My best friend and I spent so many enjoyable hours during the summer wrecking Jeff Gordon.

But imagine you’re 7 and you just saw bill Elliott in the McDonald’s car race at Michigan and now you can go home and actually do it yourself. This is forever my favorite nascar game. How did you get to play this?

All these years and I never knew the Turbo Mode was a thing. I always enjoyed this game, though. Not the best, as you said, but it's a good nostalgic time. I still hope that some day there will be a game that will let me race as a 97 Ford Thunderbird that actually looks like the 97 Ford Thunderbird.

NASCAR 98, 26 years on still amazing. Also far better than F1 23.

The odd thing about this game, Atlanta still uses its design from 1996, despite it being modified for 1997.

The best times I had with this game was when my cousin and I would run a full race at bristol but not to race, but to take out every AI opponent car in the race until it was just us left, we would hit them all in the wall and make their tires fall off, man them were such fun times back then, crazy to think all this time has went by so fast.

You can tell this game was still using the same engine as "Andretti Racing" also by EA, Which came out earlier than Nascar 98.
