As a artist who dose not make landscapes I think there is nothing wrong with art being beautiful simply just for being beautiful. It doesn’t have to be these black voids in these taped bananas I find it so bizarre that the same art critics that hate this type of art will praise another artist even though it’s the exact same thing what makes art so wonderful is that it can be diverse it can be beautiful. It can be ugly. It could be meaningful. It could be simple. It could be pure. It could be unholy. It could be anything at once. Decorate your apartment with it or use it for a gallery it doesn’t matter it’s art. Also, Bob Ross’s work is beautiful and its own way so is Norman Rockwell
Im so sad that both the Insomniac Games and Ratchet and Clank logos got simplified, i miss when from the A in Ratchet was a wrench that made the C, it looked so cool, now it isn't there. I really don't understand the whole simplifying logos thingy, it's just sad
It is kitch but who cares? It is nice but it doesn't say much of anything, it is technically well crafted but isn't very interesting. I would admire his opposition to the art establishment if he didn't also want a retrospective by said establishment, seems kinda hypocritical to me.

I think it's valid to say, if you are replaced by AI, then tough luck. It happens not due to some supernatural evil, but due to other people not having a demand for your product. So adapt or get replaced. Most of the bus drivers I know love to drive buses. It's their job as much as their hobby. They will be replaced regardless. Just as we no longer have manually operated elevators.

There is a modded Celeste map called "The 2000's American Housing Crisis", the map consists of very difficult and fast-paced gameplay, and the rooms in it also have some ridiculous titles like "Macroeconomic Trends in Southeast Asia Suggest Long Road to Recovery" and "The 8c Frogchampion Economy is Predicted to Trend Upwards". I find it quite interesting.

I have aphantasia for visual things, it's pretty accurate to say i understand the concepts of things. If you tell me to imagine an apple, the main things that pop into my head are the literal word apple and the concept/feeling of what it is. What i think i may be able to imagine more than other people is sounds/music. I can vividly imagine the sound of biting into an apple, someone else biting it, it being cut, different environments where it is making those sounds. Every small detail. I can accurately imagine any person saying anything i want, any accent or inflection, it may be how I find it easy to understand accents many people struggle with after only a few moments to lock it in. I can imagine a symphony playing any song, each individual instrument, and i can change them or remove them. I would really like to be able to see things in a minds eye, i feel like i miss out on a lot.. but i have a good minds ear at the least. Funny thing is though, i do seem to dream visuals i think, but it can be hard to tell because of course, once i wake up. I can only recall the concepts and feelings of what i "saw".
I think people definitely overestimate how threatening the battle droids are supposed to be. Like, they aren't terminators, they're meant to be disposable with a generally average combat ability. There's a behind-the-scenes clip from TPM where George is looking at a battle droid model and he explains that they're "not very efficient" and that the Jedi dispatch them with ease. But at the end of the day, they were still *droids*, and in TPM they always tried to carry out their job efficiently, even if they failed or were hopelessly outmatched. They were credible opponents against the Gungans (I mean, they literally won) and genuine obstacles when Padme was storming the palace, it's just when they faced Jedi that they pretty much got massacred. They still had their comedic moments, like when they were visibly nervous and shaking when waiting outside the conference room at the start, and of course "uh, that doesn't compute" but it's still believable that they could act that way as opposed to their actively detrimental antics in TCW. Given how in TPM they're controlled by a central computer and aren't in TCW, I don't take issue with TCW battle droids developing personalities and being more chatty, but yeah, they basically turned them into The Three Stooges in droid form. Don't even get me started on the voices.

There's a corner of my house, a door frame, which my cat has slowly worn the paint from over years of rubbing her face against it. She's at the end of her life now, and I know that little worn corner is never getting painted over. ❤
I used to animate these types of videos and I understand people's view on this style. On the other hand, do you guys know how difficult is to animate those drawings? Every character is composed of layers and each one of them has to be individually animated, it takes a long time. So, creating a more maximalist design is not that optimal in this case.

A weird side effect I have from anti anxiety medication is that I can remember vividly many dreams I've had since childhood. Any dream that made me feel shocked, scared, happy, they're all stocked there, somewhere, and I can now access them. The weirder part is that I sometimes wonder if I dreamt something or actually had it happen in real life.
i always felt bad for storm troopers you need to pay rent and are forced to work for the local empire the uniform is hot,bad for movement and you cant see threw the helmet right so you cant shoot right with a abusive boss while being forced to fight people with laser swords that cut threw you like butter
It makes a lot of sense even without the context because it’s so accurate. Middle school teachers notoriously lack empathy or even basic respect towards their students send turn a blind eye to mistreatment and bullying. Some might just say it’s a funny book series but it’s truly indicative of how school is, particularly in America
This emotion aspect is really fitting. I tend to zone out the minimalist logos and their products. I feel the purest form of apathy. I used to like them and when I was a child it was fun to guess the company based on the logo. But now? I swear, I would have NEVER guessed that the 2 shapes are not Mastercard. I am serious.
