Resolume is an instrument for VJs, AV performers and video artists. Resolume puts all your media and effects right at your fingertips, so you can quickly play and improvise your live visuals.
Resolume has three products. Resolume Avenue will provide you with all your live VJ needs. Resolume Arena has everything Avenue has, plus advanced options for projection mapping and blending projectors. Control it from a lighting desk and sync to the DJ via SMPTE timecode. Resolume Alley is a free conversion tool to convert your footage to be in optimal shape when working with Avenue or Arena.
This channel will provide you with tutorials, news and live streams to get you up to speed with everything Resolume.
soo how do we actually do it then?? i was dead set on buying this software but if there are no tutorials to actually learn it, well i cant really justify the money can i? you need to post complete tutorials if you want to make sales
In the section where you build the "SHREDDER", you connect the 'Random' node to the 'To Texture' node, but I am unable to do so myself. You connect a event out (SQUARE) to a signal in (CIRCLE), but for me the two are incompatible. How is it that you achieve this?
Resolme feature request list: Autopilot: Play next or specific column. Timeline/envelope point adjustments of any values/curves with a time display not just %age. Offset to center a litte the last visible active column when just scrolling through columns from left to right. That it's aligned fully too the right means we cant see what is the next column if doing a show where things are in order. With that position offset 2 or 3 columns we can see what is coming up automatically. Even powerpoint shows next slide!
Some simple quality of life UI improvements... Let us advance in and out points frame by frame. Let us copy mesh warps from one slice to another. Let us apply multiple masks to a slice. Let us selectively paste effects (and their parameters) onto clips.
Wow I’ve been waiting for this feature for more than 10 years ! As I was a modul8 nostalgic and deceived MadMapper because of the poor layer handle management So thank you 🙏 Oh and I appreciate that you expose limitations , it’s nice to prevent from being frustrated
Is there a way of creating a "multiview monitor" like traditional videomixers use them? Use case: On a little busking showfile there can be a layer with two or three camera feeds or external (NDI) video inputs to play with. It would be helpfull to be able to constantly monitor them.
So you would have a single layer - with multiple streams on that layer and you would want to monitor each of these stream on a single monitor? The solution would be to have each stream on a separate layer and create monitors for said layers. However, it would be a nice to have a monitor option where you lock a monitor to a given clip.
So now you can move things around.... 20 years after Mad Mapper. I keep saying, people need to have Mad Mapper and Reslume. Mad Mapper has a tons of useful features, is way more reliable, never freezes. I usually do my mapping on Mad Mapper and stream from Resolume. Mad Mapper is a hub for different software. You can create scenes that you can't on Resolume. Is perfect for digital signage, you can schedule content too and run even lasers! People who knows about mapping use Resolume.
why did this take so long... have you forgotten the shitty positioning yourself because nobody used it? Man.. you had to type in the number or click hundreds of times!! 😂
Hello ! I ask you if it is possible to play a video clip in Resolume that has 6 audio channels and be able to output them through independent outputs with an external card connected to the PC?
This video is a bit outdated - nowadays the size parameter will be automatically exposed. You can create a parameter for this - this would be an Int In in attribute flow. Please watch this video explaining how attribute flow works: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-OFZ3Gl48sv4.html
@@ResolumeVJSoftware Right, but if I were to produce the footage in Blender then trigger the clips in Arena via Ableton, could I then export the result as a video file?
@@mysteriousstranger9496 Assuming that you are rendering in Blender - Yes. Arena can't read Blender files of course. For the best experiences: convert your Blender Renders to the DXV codec using Resolume Alley (a free conversion tool that comes bundled with Arena and Avenue).
This feature (and much more column magic) is in internal-testing right now. So we won't have to wait long until will can claim that promised kingdom of yours 👑
@@ResolumeVJSoftware but now I have another problem, when I create a new composition with a resolution of 720x960, the Grid effect shows me only vertical lines, in order to get horizontal lines, it must be the first in line at the highest position in the Clip tab, and even Transform must be below it... . for example. it works normally at 1920x1080 resolution
@@facayudane2375 Oh no ! I think you just found a bug in our Software. 😱 So here's what we can do: 1) I'll report this to the developers so they can fix it. 2) You tell me which version of Resolume you are on and I'll make you a custom source or effect that fixes the problem. Please describe to me what you want to make so I can make exactly what you need.
@@ResolumeVJSoftware I use Arena 7.20.1 , I still experimented and realized that the Grid effect does not have to be the first of all effects, but it is only important that the Transform is below the Grid effect and only then will I get vertical and horizontal lines in the Grid effect, .... when the width of the resolution is smaller than the height, e.g. (600x800) then only shows vertical lines I posted the video here on my channel so you can see exactly what's going on
Hi, Great video, I especially liked the end when you showed the various nodes to alter the image. Maybe you could do a video with that theme? Anyway, I had a problem when following (building) along with the video. I am using Wire version 7.20.1. At about 4:45 you brought in the "Gradient Palette" Node my version of Wire does not have this Node. I tried using the "Gradient" Node but it wouldn't connect to the "color" input of the "Texture Material" Node, only the texture which is going to be used by the "Grid" Node. I was able to do a workaround connecting a "color" Node to the color of the "Texture Material" Node, picking another color from the "Grid" Node then connecting to "texture". Thanks, Jim
Thank you very much. You mean the post-processing as a theme? What would you like to see/learn? I'd love to do another Q&A video based on your questions. The Gradient Palette node has been retired in 7.20.1 You can learn about this in our recent Color Type video: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-I-tSsWcwHxo.html Long story short: Because we introduced the color type the Linear node can now do exactly the same as the Gradient Palette node. So we removed the Gradient Palette node as the Linear is a more flexible tool. Resolume Wire is still in full development so you might find older tutorials using outdated nodes. I hope this helps you out and let me know if you have any questions
@@ResolumeVJSoftware I was talking about the end of the video when you were done with 2d Mesh. You then used a camera, Bloom, Feedback Delay (which I have a hard time getting to work) and suggested some other effect node ideas/ I have a hard time getting things to work at the end (before output texture). I'm new with wire but getting better with the help of these videos. Oh yeah I'd like to see how you can get more (depth) between different elements with drop shadow or blur. Thank You, Jim
@@rubberbulletstudio4242 Sounds good to me Jim - I'll make a video for you this week exploring some post processing ideas. (eg. what part of the feedback delay causes you issues) - feel free to share them here and I'll pick them up for the video. I think I'll get around doing it on wednesday.
❤💫✨🌟⭐⭐❤️💚💙 Thank you very much, we think that these color-giving nodes are such a logically simple and insignificant matter, but we can see very clearly in your video that we can do so much with them because there is more behind them than we think in our everyday use. & Mark your patches , examples and explanations have given me various ideas for new plugins for Arena to my 🌀 coming up new pluginserie! 😜 👏👏👏Very well done that tutorial/demo vid. 🏵️🌻🌺 🙏Thank you and please keep it up like that, dear Mark.🤟🙋 With just the best wishes & greetings from a swiss mountens place direct high up byside Zurich from bennoH.🐼 + 🐹&🐹
