I grow cannabis, im wanting to grow in a solo cup as a project or goof, but I don't understand how you can keep up with nutritional requirements of a heavy feeding plant in a solo cup. I normally grow organically with living soil and top dress with dry ammendments. I don't think that'll go well in a solo cup, so I was thinking of trying it with mega crop by Greenleaf and flushing once a week with slf 100

@@saltyspitoon792 honestly with a good base just loaded with goodies and slow release at 3-4 weeks or liquid food, it's no problem......... Once they get out of the red Solo cups, it's time for big food. Honestly, the autos I did although I had to transplant at two weeks lol, it did really awesome. Had five foot pineapple Express autos hahahahaha 😜😂. The others seem to do better with the top dressing after 30 days along with some goodies.

Hi. I was wondering if you used cold stratification before sowing? I was so inspired after watching this video that I just sowed them ,the way you showed without stratification. I’m new to strawberries and I appreciate learning that simply drying out a strawberry gives seeds to sow! Can’t wait to try with a dried strawberry!

@@Gypsygrowgoddess yes and no...... If you bought store-bought strawberries there's no need to they've been refrigerated already before getting to you..... Fresh ones yes put them in the fridge for about 25 days and they are ready to rock. I'm sure you are going to have wonderful success with your new strawberry plants.

I really like happy frog tomato 🍅 fertilizer......my plants are really enjoying it and application is more based off plant size so it's sooooo much easier. I feed every thirty days 👍. Just mark it on the calendar 📆, sprinkle some out and lightly work in around the plant and it's off to the races. ❤️

Just wanted to give you an update on my tater chit experiment this year. The starts I planted along with some rooted seed taters were doing better for a while, but now the pieces of taters I rooted in pots have surpassed the chits rooted and up otted once. Not sure how this will all end up, I have several trial from the same tater in 3 beds now. They all get the same amendments and only watered by the creator Himself. The proof will be in the harvest yields right?

Here’s the problem. With all the different items that constitute his soil, it would be cheaper to buy strawberries on sale at the market. True gardening SAVES you money or you are just simply foolish with your hard earned cash. Gardening is just not that difficult and should never cost much money. After all, the point of gardening is to grow healthy and delicious food much cheaper than you’d get at any market.
@murdocksmadnesspatriotgard5472
@murdocksmadnesspatriotgard5472 2 месяца назад
Here's the problem with your comment........ It's based solely on the cost of items...... Do you think everyone lives in a location where you can just drop a seed and get spectacular results 🤔...... Cause they don't. As a matter of fact, most people have really crappy top souls and need lots of goodies to get going. If I lived on a farm or ranch of sorts, I would have huge composting piles from refuse, soil reconditioning areas and be chopping and dropping and after about five years of rebuilding the soil...... I might get the same results. That brings me to the second part of your comment that is incorrect.......... The results. Hard to argue with the results and the success that folks have had if you read others comments........ I've got folks with entire strawberry 🍓 beds now after years of failures......I consider that a very good success. Just because you're too cheap to buy a bag of dirt.....doesn't mean everyone is. Most folks don't have an issues with a small investment.......with such bountiful returns. if we lived in a world where everybody could just take a shovel full of dirt and plant in it.....what a world that would be......but that's not realistic. Enjoy your cheap strawberries from the store as the rest of us enjoy healthy organic pesticide free food......we grew ourselves. If your food isn't worth the investment to keep you healthy.....why garden?

Even better is the outside cup should be clear, so you can see the water level
@murdocksmadnesspatriotgard5472
@murdocksmadnesspatriotgard5472 2 месяца назад
Actually the outside cup is not supposed to be used as a water receptacle. It catches runoff yes... But it is not designed to be watered from the bottom..... The soil can go anaerobic..... That's why we only water from top down..... And we never let water sit in the bottom cup if it touches the inner cup.

Murdock, I managed to get 4 plants started from 6 chit I slipped off my rare Sarpo Mira (extremely expensive) Seed Potatoes so instead of 6 plants I now have 10. A little late in the season but I up potted the 4 for the second time into very large pots today 6/9/24. 90-100 days from now we will see. Next winter I'll be starting this much earlier. Probably on New Years Day. I did this with my White Potatoes too and they are planted in the ground alongside of actual potatoes planted to compare the harvest. I never got to see any videos of your harvests... did you do any? We need to tell more people about this.

Just found you from here in the North of England. Our “summer” has been terrible so far, cold winds and tons of rain. We are about 6 weeks behind at least planting out because of the weather. 🫣 I wish we had your weather ! Thank you for the strawberry tips. The problem I have following your soil recipe is we don’t have the same brands as you do. I have been using chicken manure pellets for a few years now and get great results from them along with worm casts. Have you tried setting up a wormery? We have a patriot community here in the U.K. and it is growing - in God we trust and with him we can win this. He gave us everything we need to grow and thrive, we just have to stick together as a community and look after one another. 🙏🌱

I was surprised to find out (in a previous video) that the strawberry capital was in Arkansas. I was raised in a rural county in Montana. Every country road you went down, in that country, seemed to have several "you pick" strawberry farms. The place that my parents bought was previously one of them, and for several years we would have people come to the door and get upset because that place (our home) no longer sold strawberries. I've started my own seeds, just a day or two ago. Only I didn't wait for them to dry. I cut out a small chunk that may have had 3 to 5 seeds on it, and covered it with about 1/4" of soil. I'm hoping that this doesn't hurt anything. I did it from a store bought strawberry, so I have no idea what the variety was. I was just concerned about the zone that it's grown in, since I live in Texas and I don't know if the hot summers we have down here would kill them or not. Anyway, I've really enjoyed the series. Great information. This should work better than buying bare root plants. I have bought some bare roots where almost all have survived, and others where none of them lived, regardless of how careful I was with the crown depth. This should be better than the bare roots because we know the plants that we're transplanting will be healthy. With bare roots, it's a crap shoot.

If I can do it over here in Arizona.....you can do it in Texas too. Using a 25-50% shade cover during may June and July ...... sometimes August will give your plants the fighting chance to really take off. The strawberry 🍓 you see in my video is now 50+ plants strong and have berries all over them....really big ones too. Good well draining soil with lots of compost material will help the root temps as well . I wish you the best of luck and I hope you have berries for pies soon ❤️ God bless my friend.
