Hi Mark, I bought my jack or scissors lift from amazon. You will get detail about it in the link below. www.amazon.com/150X150X250mm-Lab-Lift-Lifting-Platforms-Scissor/dp/B0C9VRW54Q/ref=sr_1_3?crid=N5WHZGJKRZG4&dib=eyJ2IjoiMSJ9.ssk4l5VbtbA-zakvVBO_Makp44MupzI0g20WR7MT0If1wFp03iUxjy4jNJLQR-ubcadovhPPdIPiIs3T8dNhyIkkEk-nrE4KdbV_mll_DNw.6fAlDPdyD40s4pAn76CgKEMNNWq78wGqAuBoBvGxYdI&dib_tag=se&keywords=stainless+steel+scissors+lift+6%22&qid=1718366957&sprefix=stainless+steel+scissors+lift+6+%2Caps%2C370&sr=8-3
Dear Daniel, I have seen your videos and replied you in gmail. You could make couple of turning wheels for your diffuser box to set the angle by rotating the subject.
Hi Dr. Jalil, I am a macrophotography enthusiast from Spain and yours is the best explanation on the way of constructing a diffuser. My lens is, as yours, a Laowa 90 mm . As others, i am interested in having the measures of the templates. I have seen the link you provided but can't access. Thinking there was a problem with my browser I have asked for access several times until I have read you must provide access. Sorry for the several petitions. Best regards
Hi Patxi, thank you for interest. I am sending the link again below, try it again. If you fail, please send me your e-mail number, I will send directly to you without drive link. drive.google.com/drive/folders/1uNqcQvAqnvS5xC1as1v_JL4e33XUh-Gw?usp=drive_link
Dear caltariq , I made the camera stand with focusing rail from a scrap microscope. I will upload a video on it very soon. Please keep an eye on my channel.
Thanks for showing some of your accessories being used. I tried scissors but found they moved the bushes too much when cutting, and have since found a small pair of pruning cutters that dont move the bushes as much when you cat as the stems do not slide along the blade like when using scissors
Thanks for another good tutorial and dimensions for making the diffuser. With phone macro/close up photography I find it too hard to focus if the subject is small on the screen with not much else on the required focus plane like insect on a thin blade of grass. Not much of a problem if the insect is on a large surface like a tree trunk. Phones, at least iphones cant lock on to a subject like a camera or hold focus. I have tried third party cameras with manual focus but not sucessfully yet
Mark, I am still novice in mobile macro photography. I am sure I will face the same problems. But, most people in macro photography are using mobile cameras.
An interesting setup. Making the 90 degree bend may be hard for some if they do not have a vice. I struggle to take close up pictures with my iPhone as the focus pulses too much with the contrast AF. Especially if the subject is not on a surface. I am looking for a cheap holder that has a shutter release so I dont have to tap the phone screen to take the photo as this often moves the focus distance. I had to send for access to the hosted file, told me I would receive an email. Is the the download link restricted?
Mark, sorry for late reply. I was visiting Malaysia and Singapore for two weeks. You are right. I am also trying to make some simpler mobile rig for macro photography.
Sir can 7.5mm mylar milky translucent blank sheet be used for light diffusion? Also qhich will be better in comparison 10mm mylar sheet or 7.5mm, hope you help me wid this, thankyou 😊
Mr. Dobra, thanks for your question. I would prefer 10 mil sheets, for diffuser. Please do not confused with mil to mm. 10 mm is different unit. The thickness of plastic or paper sheets are usually designated with "mil". Please try to 10 mil sheet. If you use flash, I would rather prefer white plastic sheets over mylar translucent sheet for better diffusion.
To me, the most budget option is Sony ZV E10, (about 700 $) and TT Artisan 40 mm macro lens (100 $). However, if you can afford more money, I would recommend to buy Sony A700 (1400 $). Please also buy a Godox flash V350s. Please watch my following videos. You will have some idea about budget gears.
Thank you Mr. Daniel for your interest in diffusers and table studio. The diffuser sheets from LED panels are thin but not fragile. I use them as inner lining of a white plastic sheets. Please see the pictures of white plastic files from my google drive in the link below. drive.google.com/drive/folders/1kGvJJk3LDJnlsiD-492JnfQzMDPhKQQg?usp=drive_link I would recommend you to make a radiant diffusers four your flash systems, rather than putting magic arms. If you tell me your macro gear system, i.e. camera, lens and flash I might suggest you more precise techniques for studio macro photography.
@@dr.jalil.photography Bonsoir.
Dear Mr. Daniel, I am sorry, I could not understand your intension of making a system for indoor macro photography. I have made several diffuser light boxes for indoor macro photography. In these boxes, I use both LED lights and flash. I am sending you the link of Light Diffuser Boxes below. I am impressed to see your excellent collections of photography gears. By the way, where do you publish your macro photography? Do you have any website? I would love to see your macro photographs. I have already sent you the pictures of white plastic files.
Excellent, Mr. Daniel. I am retired too. I spend most time at home and focusing on macro photography. I do occasionally go outdoor for photography. Please do share your equipment with me so that I can also improve my design. See you soon.
Thank you Mr. Daniel for your interest on my videos. The rail you see in my video, I made it myself from an old microscope. I have one manual rails of "OBEN". There are plenty of macro rails available at amazon. However, if you can collect one of the old microscope you can make it like mine.
They sell a black hood for the Pope-shield diffuser. LED lights are nice, but you can use the camera settings to make your view brighter. That doesn't work for very dark subjects though. My filter was aligned properly,, so no problem there. I also don't like the screws. However, i like the magnetic attachment. And the diffuser is further forward, which may be better for light diffusion.
Thank you Mr Fiedler. The diffuser is not aligned with my Laowa 67 mm lens, for which I bought this setup. But I did use it with my other 72 mm lens with step up ring, where it fits well. Thanks again for your suggestions.
