Nice! I'm glad that someone your age appreciates the NSX. There's so much to appreciate. I got my NSX at 17 years old, but took my years to learn about the car. 22 years later, I'm still enjoying my NSX!
I'm the guy that has the triple black berlinah black NSX 93 with 50,000 miles I've been begging a guy to get me the motor mounts but he seems not to be able to get The Foundry 3 motor mounts that you recommended it really stinks but you know you doing a great job man for a guy of your age you doing a wonderful job I'm I'm glad you got an NSX you got the one like Pulp Fiction silver that's pretty slick it's cool
You still have not been able to get those? its been a hot minute! let me get back to you and see if i can find anyone with some old backstock maybe? Thats so strange.
I can absolutely relate to most of the things that you said. My father is an attorney and he cannot fathom why I like building pre-war cars. When I was in High school I had a 1967 911that I pulled out of a scrapyard. I then proceeded to rebuild what I had time to at my school that was known for graduates going to Georgetown and Harvard and not building cars . We did have a huge machine shop that was completely decimated when the machine shop teacher died. I kept going in school until I achieved a PhD in Metallurgical Chemical engineering. I never lost my love for building cars and have done a few Porsches and Kharmann Ghias. I was run over on my 1957 Harley during the plandemic and I rethought what I was doing. I have a Porsche on a trailer in the barn and a 1928 Morgan that I am going to start my RU-vid channel with. I found a great lathe and milling machine and plan on making all my own parts. Good luck and keep up the great work!!
I almost bought that car. I bought the one in front of it. The guy from Newport Beach . He had one cheaper than the one you bought. I like cars that no one else wants. Thanks
@@driftindonuts Thank God your dad had some parts for it. I didn’t have anything. When I saw it I saw it like you did. Finished. It took a lot of haggling to get mine to the price I wanted, still a bit more than I wanted to pay. If the car had the doors I would have bought it. Thanks
This video is great, I bought a 928 a couple years ago not knowing what it is, but now I'm super happy I have It. I wish more people would celebrate them like they do Honda s2000 or viper. It really did a lot for Porsche. It pushed their design language forward, Interior and exterior. And the earlier models are a lot more like a 911 than a true GT car like the later 928. I really wish it got more attention. Anyway, thanks for reading my rant lol. I loved the video and I'm in my 928 playlist. I hope you do more videos. You really have a talent for it and it is really high quality. You deserve more subs.
I started working as a volunteer in the local hospital's e.r. in 1970. Over the next four years, three doctors died, driving 911s. Knowing how smart they had to be, and yet dying because it wasn't the perfect car that they thought it to be, made me suspect that something was wrong with it. Later having that confirmed, with the deadly trailing throttle oversteer characteristic which made driving it in a spirited manner on any roads that you didn't know well, potentially deadly if you dared push the car's limits, I decided that despite my Porsche fandom due to the late 60's and early 70's LeMans wins, I would never own a 911. When the 928's came out, another doctor bought one. Knowing that I loved cars and racing, all the doctors seemed to enjoy showing off their new cars to the staff of the e.r., and I often got to take the new cars for a spin. The 928 was incredible; it instantly became my favorite. Far too expensive for me, though, I did manage to buy a 1986 model in 2008, finally having my dream car. I had it for the next 8 years, only selling it as arthritis made it extremely painful for me to work on it. But it supplied me with great memories of just how good a car can be.
I have a 84 928. These cars were a few years ahead technically of any other car at the time. After owning and wrenching on one of these cars I’ve come to really appreciate Porsche engineering. The 928 is for a person who loves and appreciates fine GT cars.
Hi Zach, I'm still waiting on the " Foundry 3 Motor mounts from Kuyauto.... I contacted them but Nothing? Any other ideas? They were $899.00, but still seem. To be Back ordered? I'd really appreciate any help you an offer Zach. Thanks ELLIOT

@@driftindonuts I received a text from " RJ" & HE SAID VERY SOON THE MOTOR MOUNTS ARE BEING DELIVERED TO HIM & HE WILL NOTIFY ME ZACH....! SO I'LL KEEP YOU IN THE LOOP ZACH.... & THANK YOU AGAIN FOR GETTING BACK TO ME...! I APPRECIATE IT ALOT...! SINCERELY, ELLIOT
What I find crazy was when making the NSX-R it was all about reducing weight in pursuit of better handling/performance. With the current 2017-2022 NSX having all those batteries and electric motors feels like the mindset was increasing weight to find that perfect driving experience 💀. I feel the same way too that the NA1/NA2 NSX was the pinnacle of automotive engineering 😄.
For Spoon's own NSX-R GT that crash in Macau. Spoon get spare parts in same day by borrow one from their customer's car that resident in Macau. And you can ask Spoon to upgrade you NSX to NSX-R GT with enough money due Spoon have very very good connection with Honda. (Some time Honda ask Spoon to modify their race car.)
Some people think these 928’s are terrible like that one RU-vidr named “carwizard” who thinks it’s a piece of junk and it’s underated even though it save the company and it was a really awesome car which handled great
Never really cared for the 928 until I started writing the script for this video and realized it’s actually really cool. Definitely on my list of cars I want now!
To be fair the 928 doesn’t slide out like the “Volkswagen”911 and has a powerful v8 but how come only some majority know this car and why aren’t they making 928’s still?
And I’m a huge fan of the 928 and I’m 11yrs old and I know that the early 928 did terrible but later on the car got better and better and my dad owns a 1981 Porsche 928 strosek wide body
With to have a 1981 928 strosek widebody in America is rare to have a 1981 and for it to be a strosek widebody and I think those 911 are boring and are overrated and I don’t wanna sound like I’m going on a rant or anything
I'm not sure the '91 Type R was more powerful especially not around 290hp. . Plus it's used the same 240cc injectors and with that on 100% load you can get 300hp maximum. So I have a doubt they used the injectors on 97-99%.
Comptech's super chargers use stock injectors and its not an issue. Installing headers on a 91' will get you just shy of 290hp so I'd say it's fairly likely with all the modifications honda did to the nsx-r it was around 290. However I could not find any official documentation from honda, my source for the video was 3rd party but I think it's likely it was more than a stock nsx. Thanks for watching!
@@driftindonuts more air = more fuel -> more power. You can't make power from thin air because theAFR ration is the same. Plus the CF supercharger require a more rich AFR. "The Comptech system requires a very rich fuel mixture (10.8 - 11.2 AFR)" plus for comptech there is injector in the kit: "CT Engineering (Formerly Comptech USA) 350-010. ... Rail & Injector ... CT Engineering (Comptech) Supercharger Kit 91-94 NSX 350-010"
I remember in 1989 the first nsx at the motor show on national television I was 17 living in Ohio moved to Alaska in late 89 in 91 seen the nsx in person first nsx sold in Alaska at that time nsx was my dream car in 1999 living in Texas I drove the nsx the first time the nsx handled like a dream
@@driftindonuts lol from late April til late August we have 24 hours of warm sunlight shines brighter up here than the lower 48 plus Alaska is gorgeous like god's painting 🖌️ the last time I seen a nsx in the summer of 22
I hear a lot of naysayers saying they would never get an auto. But people who drive one say they love it. I'm on the fence because autos are cheaper but don't want to look back a year or couple years and say I now want an manual.
Hey excellent video man, the 2002 na2 nsx type r is basically my ultimate dream car and it's really sad that Honda only made like 400 of those things, my question is why they made so little? I understand Japan loves to keep the good stuff to themselves but man they could of made a good few thousands of them, it's such an iconic car man, people tend not to know about it compared to how they know the rx7 FD ,r34 skyline gtr and the mk4 supra because those companies made hundreds of thousands of those cars while Honda didn't even make 500 of theirs, nsx will always remain on the top of jdm legends , great vid man
Just buy a 6 speed 2002-2005 and swap some things (final drive lsd, suspension, brakes, iterior, ect.), way cheaper! If you just like the looks, by a 91 atomatic with high milage and do the 2002 headlight conversion, 2002 front and back bumper + CF wing +some paintwork.
@@markusluftner8418 I loved the looks and performance, if I gotta do that then I would also need that c32b, sadly where I live probably only got like 2 nsx existing and those owners aren't selling those gems but hey thanks for the info on the conversion
I would speculate they didn’t make that many because japans economy crashed right as the NSX came out and so the NSX-R’s that were planned got changed to Japan only and a smaller run. It is sad, would have loved to see what would have happened if they came to the US.
@@driftindonuts ohh that explains ,makes a lot of sense now, and who would of knew those cars are selling for nearly half a million USD if you were to get your hands on one
@@markusluftner8418 It's not "just swap some things". Building a NSX-R out of a normal NA2 will cost double the price of the (used) car, there are a LOT of differences. And GL locating these seats (even the copies made by Downforce are now unobtainium), and the single pane engine glass, and other discontinued parts... Also you'll have to open up the engine, and blueprint and balance it.
Just after I bought a 92 Acura Legend, my (recently ex girlfriend, at the time) ranted and raved about her Acura Type-S. Never telling me what it related to, I figured it meant supercharger. What does Type-S mean?
