What so you think about JAVA. A friend just bought a “fuoco” model full carbon with 105 mechanical. Cost about 11k RMB in Shanghai. What do you think about Java brand ?
I own a Fuoco.. It's 7.9kg with changed wheels + handlebar. It looks like the pro winning Merida Reacto. Bought it for 6,999 RMB local ($960) cause the logos are stealth. The thing flies and I drop many Bianchi, specialized.. All those $15,000 bike boys on the regular 😂
As long as someone is saying with a straight face “in the Tour de France OR EVEN LARGER EVENTS”, you know, that they don't have the understanding of the western cycling market.
Chinese frame manufacturers are very modest in increasing wheelbase and stack for gravel frames (compared to track/aero). They add literally a 1cm and call that a "gravel frame". They don't care real requirements
The guy who designed the frame has raced the Cape Epic multiple times and I'm sure could drop you on any trail. You're right that *most* brands here may just do that, but don't judge them all the same...
@@ChinaCyclingTo win a race and to be successful in a business are two different things ) This frame is short in all directions to be a gravel one. But it can be good in something else of course. If I would 30-40 cm shorter, and a landscape around would be more flat, I’ll definitely consider this frame. At least it’s manufactured and painted like a real thing )
@@ChinaCycling By the way, if we take a look at a top 7 winners of number of US classical 500km gravel races, we ca find stack/reach ratio from 1.39 to 1.58, ht angle from 66 to 73, wheelbase from 1000 to 1150, chain stay from 415 to 435. This is an example of that to win a gravel race is a different thing to make a gravel bike ) Cheers.
Detailed report. Thank you. Would love to see you test the various ‘wavy wheels’. Loght Bicycle makes a few sizes of rims with side waves. As opposed to the Zipp and Cambridge waves.
I am Vietnamese, right next to China. Previously, I bought a Sava MTB, advertised as a t800 carbon frame, when I got my hands on a Giant MTB, Orbea. I just realized that my Sava is as soft as noodles. You can squeeze it with your hands, causing the frame to become dented and too thin.
I have a trek SLR and something like this no name. Its just slightly heavier and not as stiff. Is my trek worth 2-3 times more? Or warranty? For the average rider from my experience is NO. Remember for the price of my trek i can buy 2-3 of these!!!!!
Hi, Great video and very informative. Sorry for maybe beginner question, but I am just getting into these fun things with cycles. For the Garmin overlays with Insta360, is that with a special bike computer? Or with your Garmin watch? Do you have to use special Garmin devices on the bike? Like Garmin pedals or other sensors in addition to Garmin bike computer or Garmin watch? I often rent a bike when I travel at places and those rental bikes would not have any Garmin pedals and the likes. I guess I could add a Garmin bike computer or use a Garmin Watch. I noticed on your video you have RPM statistics for example also, so was wondering how you do that. Do you have a comparison on what data overlays Garmin could add versus a Apple Watch? I am mostly using Apple watch for walking, but guess it would also work for cycling... yet, if there was some advantage of using a Garmin bike computer (without dependencies of Garmin pedals and the likes) I might try that also. Anyways, thanks in advance for any advice.
I have two problems with this frame. I would sooner have external cables around the steering tube, and an endurance frame would make me happy. Otherwise an interesting bike.
For 350USD more, one can get a Canyon Ultimate. Same groupset, Conti GP 5000 in 28! no carbon wheels though but there’re CRWs up for sale at Panda Podium 👀
Yeah the frame is probably better QC on the Canyon but who knows? But it has not fully internal routings, cheap dt swiss wheels like 200 the pair i think ? And the wheels are just way better on the SAVA being carbon but not even sure which wheels they are lol.. And sava is 12 speed. But then add the import fees so..
I've seen the inside of some SAVA frames that looked miserably bad. I do hope this one is a great frame though. We need realistic bike prices. They obviously need to improve the quality of some things - like those seatpost bolts - absolutely needs to be stainless.
@@williamko4751 multiple videos on youtube. You can find them yourself easily. "hit job"? LOL. I'd love if all SAVAs were great. I want inexpensive frames
