Join Mike Patey as he builds some of the most incredible experimental aircraft on the planet! Mike is a father, husband, engineer, fabricator, and aviator. Mike's latest aircraft is a modified Carbon Cub named Scrappy.
You have all this money from cloud seeding tech. AK mind control, and you put 10,000 of granite under 200 bucks of mdf, you and your family should be ashamed.
Aviation is awesome. But why not help those who are going through hard times. Like people who have huge medical bills from life happening like it did to you. God has given you another chance so how about taking care of those he would've when he was on the earth.
I can’t wait to see (I’m following your build as chronologically as possible), how you go about the firewall with th engine so far “inside” the cabin. Your videos are like a drug for us aviation junkies.🤔🤗😝 And I appreciate the diligence you apply in your projects; admirable really!
I hate when old airstrips get eliminated by property development. They're a dwindling resource - especially around growing communities like the SLC area. I know of an old airport, UT10, that I wish someone would resurrect before it's lost. Ideally, I'd like to see an airpark that caters to entry level aviation enthusiasts. Something similar to West Desert with affordable hangar space, airplane ownership clubs, and a friendly, helpful pilot community welcoming to everyone - especially the local youth. Come to think of it... the local high school is the Aviators!
There are cases of baby twins when one is extremely ill the other twin being beside them causes a complete change, I didn’t know it applies in adulthood but maybe does.😊😊😊😊😊
Mike is the epitome of what an aviator should be defined by! The enthusiasm is contagious even for a 73 yr. old guy who still dreams of getting his pilots license. Thanks Mike!
Hell yes to the "Patey Albatross"!!!!!!! Knowing what could happen with your Engineering god brain, I am dying to see what that turns into and long live Draco!
I was wondering why I hadn’t seen any updates from Mike recently. Apparently RU-vid decided to unsubscribe me from the channel. Everyone make sure to check your subscriptions!
Older pilots get smarter. Thank goodness you listen to yourself and telling others that respect you. Your plans at Spanish Fork AP sound fantastic. I've flown PIper Cubs, Cherokee 6, Cessna 172 w/STOL, Cessna150 aerobat over Utah Lake, Beachcraft Bonanza V trail that's somewhere in Utah Lake. It was never found when it went down during the winter out of Provo AP and a paraplane that we flew out of Nephi airstrip.
I would of thought it might be easier to have had some electric wall or glass come down close off the area in winter, Heated floors, that's it job done. Those cabinets are the thing that will get destroyed during winter, So not impressed on this one.
I want to see both try and make the same aircraft with the same capabilities. But hidden from both till then end. Would be interesting to see choices made! Make it a competition and give away loser/winner. I don't know the best way to give back to the community but keep building dreams guys!
Your pool deck should have ben done out of exterior porcelain on pedestals. No mortar or thin set required and it is completely impervious to the cold.
When is this just showing off? Your rich and were not. You earned it 100% Just seems at a certain point outside of flying enough is enough. Many of us are losing our simple planes. How about helping us to getting the FAA to put a Rotax is a 0200 in a C150. Or allowing experimental avionics in certified aircraft. How many die every year because many can't afford the $80k for the exact same Garmin avionics to get an auto pilot that would save someone stuck in IMC. GA is dying over 100 year old engines we can't repair. A crank for an 0200 is $14,000. A decent 150 is over $50,000 now. We need help Mike. I am happy that you can have the best. Your fans are normal people who love aviation but are being priced out. Garmin won't even work on a 430. No one fixes HSIs. $750 to rebuild a simple Alternator. When Auto zone sells the same thing new for $69 bux. The FAA is destroying us normies with insane regs that kill people. Help us Mike. Leave a legacy
Those thousands of hours of flight time definitely shined through brilliantly as you were able to remain calm and do what needed to be done in order to return the two of you safely to the ground during this emergency.
What do you estimate the gas and power bill will be in that blizzard when you have the pool and floor heated while the fires, overhead heat and central heat run? $5-10k/month???
I appreciate the fact that even with all of your experience, you place common sense and safety above accolades and achievement when it comes to flight testing.
