Law of diminishing returns applies in this case. So maybe longevity? At the distance that most people harvest, these 2 bows are going to be marginally different in producing the same outcome.
Hey Tim what is your draw length And what do you cut your arrows to. I’ve been watching a ton of videos and with my specs. I’m having a hard time reaching an arrow weight between 420-470. I have a 30.5 draw length and shoot 75 lbs. and have been told by my local archery shop that I shouldn’t go to 300 spine arrows. But I see guys like MFJJ who are running 300-350 spine and just from watching his videos it looks like he has a decently long draw length as well.
I am not any good at archery but I enjoy it. I have a Elite Tempo and a bowtech reckoning gen 2. With the old tempo (34" and 7.25" brace height) I shoot groups half the size as the reckoning gen 2..... I consistently go to the Elite when shooting. The one I have is a very forgiving bow.
I had an elite era and it was the worst bow as far as tunability I’ve ever had. Loved everything about how it shot but it absolutely would not tune, you could get it very close but the came lean was so bad that the cables would rub the cam. Elite wouldn’t help nor the dealer, bought a press, draw board and cam laser. Swapped the shims and it got better but still wouldn’t tune. Ended up trashing it.
Great video! I agree in the price range just below these, you can't go wrong with the Bear Adapt Plus ready to hunt. I purchased one and it has produced. For the price range, the accessories are GREAT! Especially the sight. I really want to build out a Darton Consequence, but like a few of the other commentors, there is no dealers close to me. That would be a great service, to build out and ship. Thanks for the video.
Really appreciate the work you’re putting in for us who are in the mid range bow market. Flagship is nice, but that’s not always an option. Great job Tim!
The third guy to shoot the first Arrow his form looks really good especially when the boat comes straight back it stopped right at his chin he didn't have to bring it way over up down nothing and 10 man I'm so thankful that you're doing so good my brother
Tim, I’ve got the Elite Kairos which is the same bow but optimized for my 27.5” draw length. I’ve shot Mathews in the past and I will say the Elite really is a sleeper. I shoot that bow extremely well and it feels so much better with a short draw length than the Mathews did (the Mathews always seemed to dump hard). In any event, welcome to the Elite club! Excited to see more videos about it
I shoot unknown every club shoot. Club rule is no range finders on the round. A pro tip, before you start the round, go out and stare at the practise range for a bit. Don’t shoot. Just look I feel like it calibrates your brain a little
Love watching your match play videos. Love seeing the kiddos tagging along too. Truly mean this....best archery shooting videos on RU-vid. Keep them coming.
Subbed Dec 2023... Bought my first Mission Ballistic back in 2013, but I have really stepped up my archery game this year watching You, MFJJ, and Tim. The whole family shoots, and so I'm starting to do a lot more work on our own stuff. Finally, I could afford to get the fam into some flagship bows. Daughter shoots an Elite Ember. I just got the wife an Elite Allure, and I got myself a few months ago an Elite Era. I really wanted to get into a Mathews Lift, but my bow shop is an Elite vendor, and my guy sold me on the Era... now I can't afford a backup bow 😂... Up here in Alaska, not too many options. Love your channel man, thanks.
I always try to guess range before actually ranging, to see how close I was. I’m normally a few yards short. lol, it’s definitely a different ball game.
Hi guys I'm from the UK I belong to a countrywide society called the NFAS, we only shoot unknown distances it's really fun . However you guys are shooting longer than we usually shoot and what awesome shots you are making , lots of fun to watch this one , brilliant
I know sometimes the camera makes arrow flight look weird when it really isn't, but that first shot Joel took on the grazing doe looked like it flew funny. Great video, I shoot known yardage but really want to start shooting more unknown to get better at judging.
I enjoy your other content, too, but I'm from Europe, and most of our 3D competitions are two arrows, unknown, so it's fun to watch you guys give the format a go.
Tim you're always coming through with some great content. Thanks for sharing brother. It was nice watching you men through some carbon and having fun doing it.
Man I can’t thank you enough for getting me to love this archery thing. I’m loving it! But I’m having a hard time setting my trophy ridge hot wire. I’m running out of room for my long range shots can you and MFJJ help me out? Don’t know how to set up my 20 30 40 without running out of room for past 60 yards on my bear adapt plus. You know I’m new at this help please. Thanks in advance 🙏🏽
After all it’s because of you I’m doing this in the first place. When you made that video on the adapt plus I bought it and loved it. It’s so much fun I’m losing arrows though. I had it set to 60 yards but couldn’t get any further on the trophy ridge.
