All this disassembly is a waste of time. All I did was pop off panels on both sides of the radio unplugged radio on one side unplugged antenna on the other side then pulled radio out
Wow love the roads you were driving on !here in Southern California there’s just too much traffic too many cops! I also just purchased a used 2018ZL1 with 15,000 miles six speed manual and I wanna open her up just hard to find a good spot
@nickwicks4539 I thought the same, since both G8s and Luminas have almost the same interior. BTW do you know how can I get the kit? I'll give it a shot in my car. And thanks for your help.
@@micahvanelyas3932 no problem! John Faust in the Pontiac G8 Owners group makes the kit so all you have to do is shoot him a message and see if he can get you taken care of! Not sure if he ships outside the US or not
I did indeed take it for a test drive after installing them but I didn’t own the car much longer afterwards so I definitely didn’t get a ton of use out of them I would definitely say it felt like an oem+ mod that should’ve came from the factory it was amazing!
If your video cord has a wire sticking out on both ends you wire that to the reverse trigger and then use the reverse light power wire to trigger the camera. I usually combine the power and trigger wire and wire them both to the cars reverse power wire so that the camera is only on in reverse. The ground can be grounded anywhere that’s bare metal but if possible I usually just wire it to the ground wire of the reverse light
I need to do this since some a-hole decided to cut the cone support off the front speakers before i got it at auction and they have a horrible vibration at certain frequencies now
Will the A10 holds the revs up if you are in sport mode for example? I can't really tell - it almost sounds kinda like it goes quiet(ish) once you let off the gas. I'm mentally comparing it to a Mustang with A10 that will hold the rps up (makes it more exciting - race-car-esque).
It’s when you space out the factory muffler from the mid pipe using washers or something of the sort to essentially make a exhaust leak. I have a proper axle back now but was curious how it would sound! 🙌🏻
I would recommend the procharger over the magnuson any day. Better power gains and by far a more simple install! I no longer own the truck, but will happily answer questions!
Put tape around the badge so you don’t scratch the super delicate piano black finish and use a plastic pry tool to lift it. I don’t remember if there is adhesive on the back but using a heat gun to warm it up will make removal easier if there is adhesive. There will be indentations left in the panel where the guide posts align the emblem.

Hi mark, I ended up trading the ZL1 to get into a truck to start doing more overland/camping stuff. I did do E40 and tune but the car already had basic bolts on like intake, axle back and secondary cat delete. Unfortunately outside of the dyno I only had hot track days when trying to get the improvements for tune and e40 over stock so I was actually running slower from heat soaking badly. I wish I had better news, im sorry!
