The aeropro can be finnicky, its best to do a hard reset. You can try disconnecting the battery or I think the aeropro has a hard reset feature built in, check your owners manual for the kit it might mention it

It came from G8only when Joe ran his release batch of them, unfortunately he no longer has them and has not said when or if he will ever get them again. Only luck now would be to have someone over in Australia purchase one and ship it over here sadly

G8only.com is the only US distributor but he doesn’t have any at the moment as far as I know

It’s an “aeropro” but their out of stock on G8only, Joe the owner is waiting for new ones to come in, no ETA though

I don’t believe so (I don’t have the car anymore so can’t verify) but from what I remember the left side controls were used for the climate control temp and fan speed

This kit was brought over by Joe @ G8only and is the only US based seller

G8only stocks and sells them just keep an eye out for when he gets the updated versions

Check your operation booklet from aeropro, and do a reset. Should fix it right up 😁 I no longer have the car or the paper otherwise I would advise you how to, I apologize

@@nickwicks4539 it said press and hold the two controls to reset but it's not working.

@@marquitajohnson8236 may have to disconnect your battery long enough for it to lose power and then reconnect the battery and see if it works

Did you get one from G8only? If not it’s possible the Australian software could be causing issues, there was a minor tweak even with the first batch of ones sold here in the US to make it functional

@@JorgeJuarez-ft5nj yeah if it’s an Australian version I believe something with the software is slightly different and can cause what you’re describing. The units that G8only brought over were modified for US cars and I think that included a software reprogram of some sort

@@JorgeJuarez-ft5nj a few people did install the Australian versions before any were marketed for US so I would look on the g8 forums but outside of that unfortunately I don’t know a solution

If you’re referring to the aeropro it’s on G8only but as far I as I know Joe (owner) does not have any more and is waiting for a batch of the revised versions 😁

@@Nateaaden02 if you’re going oem the IQ setup is the best, however if you’re handy with installs and wiring I highly recommend the updated aeropro and a mid range double din, since you can get oem functionality and much more features that have more ease of use

Stay away from Kayhan, you can read up the comments on You Tube/Forums. This is by far the best bang for buck kit, alternative the Alpine kit is another route you can go, but more expensive.

The caprice radio does appear to be the same so it SHOULD but cannot confirm unfortunately

Steven Gill for my radio it’s fully functional, I scroll works normal for volume level and clicking will mute the radio like factory 😁 also with this radio it only required using the 3.5mm jack included as part of the harness to retain function

Did you plug the 3.5mm Jack into the back of the system where it said aux? or what wires did you connect the 3.5mm Jack into ? To retain the function.

@@HisG8 on my pioneer it went at the top of the connection area right next to my mic plug in. It wasn’t aux but I don’t know what the other port was labeled

@@nickwicks4539 okay from the top of the unit is where you found yours. and I’m guessing you spliced the jack into a + and - ? and those wire up to a the harness that came with the aero pro.. that’s just my guess ?

also you didn’t run it to any steering wheel control module correct ? U did it just to the actual harness itself

Joe LaBruzza owner of G8only is awaiting a new shipment of the updated version of these (which will definitely be better) so keep a very close eye on his website and join his Facebook group G8only because he always announces there first and you have to be fast because the first 3 batches of these sold out in under 2 days

Pioneer 2400NEX if I remember correctly, don’t recall size just a standard double din

Brandon Guthery the temp sensor was not included as part of my kit from G8only, I assumed this was since our cars had factory temp sensors in all models but I guess the kit doesn’t utilize it. I’d assume it just requires drilling a hole above the blower and sliding the sensor in and epoxying it or something, seems like it would be straight forward 😁

So I was mistaken, a thread like this popped up in the owners group the other day and one guy point out his works it’s just greyed out for some reason. I need to verify this on my unit but may be worth looking into yourself as well. I’d assume something is wrong with the software for it to not light up but still work 🤷🏻‍♂️

@@nickwicks4539 I complete the install without the cable I mentioned and everything turned out just fine. It may have been the Australian version of the kit that required it. I spoke to Joe at g8only and he confirmed the cable is not included in the kit.

Unfortunately you need this aeropro kit, the G8 customs kit, or to import one of the Australian options to install a new radio. The climate controls are part of the stock radio sadly

Cesar Villarreal those are related to the steering wheel controls and specific to the aftermarket radio you’re using, mine didn’t require their use just the auxiliary plug in 😁

That’s why I went through and re-explained after working on it since it’s hard to do while I work. Do you think it would be better to explain while doing it versus the time lapse and going back through?
