Hello, welcome to my channel! I love travelling around the world on different modes of transport, mainly trains, but also some buses, planes, boats. Videos are without music, only live sound.

How did you get that single Fare (!?) price ,even back in 2021 (!?) talking now in July 2024 I have only found £9.20 single or 18.40 return, ie: 1 month in advance ! Any 'feedback' gratefully received.

The reason the Northern section of HS2 was abandoned was due to spiralling costs. No one seems to want HS2. To be fair big infrastructure projects are always a logistical nightmare in the UK whether it be a new railway line or new road. HS2 was given the go ahead in January 2012. France , to her advantage, is more than twice.the size of the UK with roughly the same population, thus new road and rail projects easier to plan. I'll probably never travel on it but I think it'll be good for the long term, when it finally comes into operation. Great video.

Thank you very much for the video of this journey. Very informative and well thought out. We were considering making this exact trip but will likely explore other options.

This is the line i use to visit my family in France. I quite like it although the service can be very irregular at times which is sadly common on the entire network... I do love the stock used on the K13 and C14 services

Reminds me of Lumo that they operate a low cost rail service from London King’s Cross to Edinburgh Waverley using Hitachi Class 803 IETs.

very nice, but I don`t think you should spend all your school holidays riding around on trains. Why don`t you try something usefull and constructive like a hobby perhaps? Here are some tips- Stamp collecting, Knitting, Embroidery, Bike riding, Dancing, & helping your mother clean the house.

Nice video, well made. Good to see more from you! Shame about the state of the train, just a little bit of care and it would be so much better. What did the remote driving cab look like? I don't think I've seen one as I've never taken this type of train back when I lived in Paris. And congrats on 1k subs! Thanks!

First passed through Paris Nord back in my Interailing days , the first one being in 1986. Very impressive line up of electric locos back then. When they powered up and down the pantograph would make a lovely arcing sound a big spark ! Used to travel to and from Boulogne or Calais to connect with the boat train to London Victoria. Also travelled up to Amsterdam from there in Corail coaches . Great days they were and much missed. Just wish i had taken some photographs of the magnificent beasts.

Cameras have spoilt things for us flashers. I used to stand in various spots along the railways where I knew the trains would be moving slowly. there was one spot I'd use regular. It was through some woods in the middle of nowhere and the trains would have to slow for signals. I'd be there all day with my trousers and pants around my ankles and lifting up my shirt to give the passengers a first class view of my erection and balls. It was great fun for all concerned but when mobile phone cameras became available I had to stop.

The carriage in which you moved at 9:52 was probably more comfortable as, unlike the other 2, it has not been restructured according to the 901 project (the interiors of the other 2 carriages originally had compartments and another kind of air conditioning) and has maintained the Original interior which, in my humble opinion, was much more comfortable. However, the 2 renovated carriages at the beginning of the video were of the "eurofima" type, which entered service in 1978 and were built by FIAT, while the third was of the Z1 type which entered service in 1988. In any case, nice video and beautiful landscapes of the fantastic Ionian line

The shelters you see in many stations are just the roofs of the underpasses. I suppose they build them that way because they are water and wind-proof.

Very interesting, the seats are like rocks on all IETs. A while back when traveling to Reading, I took a UK built 800 up, and a Pistoia built 802 back. The 800 was very quite, and rather smooth riding, and the seats were absolutely solid, but it felt good. The other train however was falling apart at the seams. Stickers inside were peeling off the walls, it felt like it was going to shatter, and the panels were constantly shaking. Now the ride quality.... OH DEAR GOD!!!! It was constantly bouncing, the toilet water was sloshing about. It was horrific, and matter of fact, the seats seemed even firmer than the previous train (I did the smack test)!! Both were uncomfortable, but one was more like sandstone, and the other harder than a diamond! It depends upon the unit, but more often than not, they all need to be completely overhauled, and have the bogies replaced with a MK3 design, OR EVEN AN ACTUAL MK3 Bogie LOL!!
