the cross is great if your i na hurry or changing cpus alot for testing purposes ! but the best way to not spending to much thermal paste is spreading ofcourse !
I had a similar idle temp with my air cooled rig without thermal paste. Although as soon as I opened my DAW I hit 101c and I instantly shut it down. Bios was behaving weird too.
Repent from your sins carry your Cross everyday follow his commadmends and believe in our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ ✝️🔥👑 Repentance means turning away from your sins and following the commandments of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
Toothpaste is looking like works for the first time because its still wet and heat pass onto water molecules, after it dry 2 or 3 days maybe it works like isolation material and burn the cpu, dont try guys
Yall dony need to worry about your temps resching 80 degress above vause amd cpud are designed to work at that temps plus hes using a thermal cooler which is expensive but offers great cooling than stock air coolers but air coolers should suffice :)
Is your laptop old or new? Cause Thermal paste change should be done every 2-3 years of use so probably that's the cause or else you're Laptop's fan and vents might be clogged that can also result in overheating.
@@fendigucci6307 5 years is too much bro no Thermal paste gonna last that long my Laptop used to heat like crazy after 3years of use and after thermal paste change it's temperature was totally in control.
I’m just wondering, if you positioned the external fan at the front near the RAM instead of at the back as you have done, would there be any change in the temperature for the dual fan configuration?
This certainly shows that a high quality cooler was used. All thermal paste is meant to do is fill in the microscopic valleys and imperfections of the cooler and IHS. Clearly both are pretty good if it functioned well enough without thermal paste
I have used a mixture of Desitin (40% Zinc Oxide) and PERMATEX Aluminum anti-seize compound for many many years and many many CPUs. It has performed extremely well. Never a failure. Never a short. Never any mess. You can make a single batch that will last you a LIFETIME.
I also applied the thermal paste evenly using a spreader just like you, but my homies said it's the wrong way, dot and cross are the right way of applying. Is it true?
