Hey there jazz cats! I'm Kyle Jameson, and I have been collecting jazz fusion music for over 40 years. My collection is a deep archive of 70s, 80's-90's cuts. I regularly post pieces of this now rare and out-of-print music, most of which was played on a now defunct week night jazz-fusion program called "Jazz Flavours" and other similar radio stations. My older posts feature tape recordings recorded off of the 'Jazz Flavours" radio show, some of which has taken me years to identify.
I am currently the DJ for a jazz / fusion radio show "The Breeze" (Thursdays at 9 pm- 12 am CENTRAL TIME) on WQNA, Springfield, IL, as well as JAZZ 90.1 out of Rochester NY (Saturdays at 11 pm - 2 am EASTERN).
My purpose is to share these 'lost' music styles; to blow off the dust on some of the greatest jazz-fusion gems of the past. I am also a multi-instrumentalist and compose my own original work, and have released two albums thus far. Now, please dig my channel and its contents!
New woman is my favorite track. I have loved this album for years, but the technology changing didn't allow me to listen to this album any more and I don't find it any more. Thank you for publishing.
Kyle... Thanks a lot......... Man.. i have been looking for that CD since i heard it in this playlist... I will try to find it..... I have another request.. In one of your playlist, You played something by a group called CAñONERO... With andy narrell... DO you have that upload it? Again thanks for the quick answer...
YESSSSSSSSS.. That one... Oh my god.. I am still mad at myself because i had that LP in my hands in 1987 while shopping at tower records @ Brodway location uptown NYC and i did not have enough money to buy it. I ended up buying the Neil Larsen LP through any window... This was a good one.. but the Cañonero one is more obscure.... Thanks a lot. I will try to see if i can find it!
WOW!!! I remember hearing a track or two on WNUA Chicago bacjk in the day. Perfect music for that lazy summer afternoon out on the deck or home office. Great choice today Kyle!!!
What an album, and thank you for the upload! Shame it didn't get a vinyl release-though that seems to be often the case with these 90s records. "Backburner" is such a joyful song to close with!
