I have been a high-voltage engineer for many years. PLEASE, PLEASE, do not underestimate the LETHAL aspects of those microwave oven transformers (MOT's)! They can kill you instantly with the slightest mistake or an accidental nudge!!! Use the neon sign transformers (NST's) instead...MUCH safer! I know of TWO cases where an experimenter was killed instantly with a single MOT'!!!...and many times where experimenters were shocked with NST's, but would have died if they were MOT's! At about timestamp 3:50 you said "WE NEED MORE POWER!", Believe me, when you switched out the MOT for the NST, you were indeed putting in MUCH LESS power...and being MUCH safer!. A 2000v 1A MOT (2000 Watts of power) is about the most deadly combination of voltage and current for the human body that you can find lying (YOUR body and/or the MOT) around. A 12,000v 30mA NST (360 Watts of power) is a much better choice for more exciting and safer experiments. TAKE CARE --dALE

I bought some thicker page protectors, didnt glue the sheets and it worked perfectly off 34.5v input to zvs :), with only 2 layers between foil so same as video@@jordansimmons5538

hello I can only do 1cm plasma at 150W what do I have to do to get more plasma? I have 450 secondary windings of 0.4 mm and primer 5 turns 2.1mm. That's how I get the best results.

You know there’s another cool trick that I discovered when I was younger, if you have a musical Christmas hat or even a toy that makes a noise when you squeeze part of it, you can activate it by putting one hand on the plasma globe and then touching the musical Christmas hat or toy
